Thanks for watching! Several people are asking about the color...it's called Electric Shadow and really looks quite cool! Also, it doesn't cost any extra money!
Father God wants you to pursue your dream, hardwork and dedication. That will make you successful and you will able to buy this car. God doesn't like lazy people that just waits for miracle to happen, been there done that.
Same here. Got mine in grey on Friday and already the windshield is cracked and Hyundai won’t fix it. I don’t know what happened or how it got cracked. It’s really sad but other than that I really love the car
Hyundai is doing such a great job with keeping up with these models!! We recently got a Palisade and it came with way more upgrades than any other 3-row seating
Just got this car last month switching from my 2012 Elantra and wow the 2021 elantra is AMAZING. Literally feels like a higher tier car compared to the price tag. Definitely 100% worth it.
@@adrianmontoya4404 for my 2012, the only main repairs i ever had to do was changing spark plugs which was only a couple of hundred dollars total. I love hyundai, very rarely have any major repairs.
@@stevenwade3958 yes, I was torn between a mazda and hyundai. I was shocked with how smooth and athletic the steering was. I got a Kona. 18,000 miles now. What are your thoughts on the engine fire recalls for hyundai?
You guys are knocking on the door of 200K subs! Keep up the awesome work! I like the coupon test that you guys use for checking storage space. The CVT is probably one of the better ones on the market, and it does gain about 3 mpg more than the old 6 speed auto.
It’s amazing that a car with that interior is referred to as an Economy Car... If i looked at a picture of that interior back in like 2015 I would’ve thought like a six figure BMW
I bought the 2020 this past August. Love it. Then literally a month later they bring out the new body style. Shouldn't be surprised, thats how my luck is haha.
You guys implementing each video by contributing your 100 percent!!! You definitely deserve billions subscribers.Like it a lot. Thank you guys for making our weekend so special by bringing this fantastic review.
I’ve been watching this video every other day since it was posted and finally went and got the car today. I’m in LOVE 😍. The color is so nice in person.
I saw this car for the first time in person this morning, it was the red one. It looked really nice. I have a 2020 Jetta SEL...I'd say my car and this car are my favorites in the segment so far. Hyundai and Kia have just been cranking out some dope stuff.
Howdy, great review as always y’all! Hyundai did excellent here! I personally applaud any automaker, wether I like the design or not, if they take a risk! I’m a fan of what Hyundai here as well!😸😻😸
Great review. I think the SEL Premium Package is the Best. I also like about the New Hyundai Elantra Sedan where they brought up the reverse taillights. The Premium Package includes a Driver's Seat With Lumbar Support.
Do you still like your car. I am curious because I just bought a 2023 Elantra SEL with the convenience package. I am very happy so far but it has only been three weeks.
@@iamjoehill you do realize the functional one is on the end of the headlights but due to American safety regulations they just fit the crappy one there
Awesome video, guys! I have a 2017 Elantra Value Edition and looking to upgrade the model end of the year. I just wish you all did a test drive including the Limited trim to see all the features that this car has! Like the ambient lighting, bigger infotainment screen, Bose sound system, etc. For someone who not car savvy, will think the standard features is just it. Also, not much information on the SEL Premium Pkg. There's some features that is not mentioned that consumers like myself, want to know. There was no mention that SEL Premium Pkg. has power driver's seating, a power sunroof, Bose sound system, LED taillights, rear arm rests, 17 inch rims like the Limited trim, and chrome accents around the doors like the Limited as well. Someone who wants a little more amenities in their cars needs to know this. Therefore Some, they don't feel like the SE and SEL w/ the Convenience Pkg. is there only option. Some dealers won't even take the time and go through all the trim levels with their customers. They just worry about a commission.
For 22 grand it definitely is one of the nicest cars for under 25 k let alone under 23k. But will it last is the real question. The Corolla for around the same price will definitely run til the wheels fall off
Design looks really cool. But I just want traditional automatic transmission instead of C(I)VT. And a minor thing is that front turn signal is not seen very well from the side. Cause it's located deep into the grill.
I hope Hyundai and Kia eventually fix the CVT issues. So far, there are complaints of people having issues with the new CVTs on the 2020 Elantra, and Kia Soul and Forte. I don’t understand why they would replace the much more reliable automatic for the CVT, but I just hope Hyundai improves the CVTs.
@@byronnasem4110 Toyota CVTs are made by Aisin (majority owned by Toyota) which is considered to one of the most reliable transmission manufacturers in the world. They also added a physical gear to the new Corolla CVT, which takes strain of the belt when taking off, making it more durable.
I like the Hyundai Elantra N and Kia Forte GT. Good value for the money. I hope to still see them reliable and on the road 30+ years later, just like the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic.
I got mine, brand new off the lot only 16 miles on the odometer and 5 days later a young girl ran a red light and totaled my vehicle. Looked exactly like the one in the video. Electric shadow color, black interior, and OMG AMAZING AIRBAG AND SAFETY FEATURES for collisions I give it a 10 out of 5 stars. Can't wait to get my replacement. RIP my beautiful Ella 💔😭
I own a 2018 value. Great value for your $ but have had minor issues, some of them have been resolved by Hyundai. Reliability on mine has been great but only at 30,000 miles. Its not a Honda/Toyota as far as quality in my book just yet.
Another great review. Put me down as one that does not like the styling of this car. It does seem to pack a out of features for the price though. I have serious reservations about the drivetrain on these cars. Their resale valve is not very good either.
I like that Hyundai is taking risks, but this car definitely was not designed by the same team that penned the stunning new Tucson. This car looks plucked from a game of Sims. And come on Hyundai, please make LEDs standard across the board!
@@joshuabenjaminscott2365 im sure most wouldn't mind paying a few hundred more dollars for full-LED lighting. Just helps it to keep up with those in the class that already make them standard for similar money(Jetta, Mazda 3, 2021 Civic, etc)
I said the same thing! every few years they’re changing the shape on them. It’s like the grill ain’t meant for the car & it doesn’t compliment the back of the car
I went to van Hyundai & they tried to rip me off! The dealership added all the protection plans smh that club plus anti theft stuff saying it’s not optional! I want this car badly
Hello, just had a few questions I'd hope you can answer for me. So what would the difference be between the SEL trim with the convenience package and the Limited trim in terms of the driver assistance features such as the cruise control as that is a really important reason for me to buy Hyundai/Kia/Genesis. Thank you in advance!
I just bought a black'18 Elantra SEL and I just love it so much. Comfortable, stylish, and has really nice build quality and features. Looks like I might have to upgrade to this in a few years!
Some really nice changes (front end) and nice interior but I LOVE my 2018 Elantra and so happy I got it before the changes came in 2019 and beyond. Do not like the back end at all. Also, what is with that bar on the front passenger interior?
2018 has been my favorite elantra for a while. Havent been able to warm up to any of the newer models, but I can see why people are drawn to this car for sure.
Hmm I guess our trims are different in Canada, you have to go all the way up to the top Ultimate and THEN add the tech package to get the dual 10" screens, there's no in between to get the speedometer screen but keep the 8" infotainment. I hope in the 2022 refresh they bring those screens down to at least the Preferred, was a bit bummed to find that because it takes away from it looking so futuristic if you have analog dials.
Hyundai has come a long way .People are gonna hate . To me it looks like the car is flexing on the outside 💪. Just got mine in that color love it. Drives super smooth to. First time Hyundai better to coming out of a Toyota.
One tid-bit of information you may want to include in all of your reviews is the information concerning the manufacturers warranty. Hyundai/Kia are among the best in the industry! Certainly worth mentioning in your reviews. Be well!
@@ARU-vidChannelwithNoName 2019-2020 🤢 yuck 🤮 they should have stuck with the 2017-2018 ✌️😇 for 2 more years upping the feature content especially the sport version and bring the elantra raceback edition state side way more chic
Hyundai in general from Genesis to Kia have really been forward thinking in terms of styling. Definitely took a risk but I think it has paid off and leading the way with how cars might look like in the next two decades.
Man i really wanted to get electric shadow but dealer tried to scam me really bad lol ended up getting grey at other dealership. Still love it. it looks amazing with some wax shine
@@romerobryan83 they suggested dumb price. Straight lied to my face saying some discounts dont apply to me even though i clearly see i am eligible on their website.
you guys complain about 147 HP? here in europe most new "cheap" (max 15k eur) cars sold are 1.0L engine with 70 to 105 HP. you should see how fun it is to try overtake whit ac on
And the 147 HP feels like a good deal more. Just parted w/my 2006 Jaguar S-type with twice the HP but can’t feel much difference. Perhaps it’s the CVT, but whatever it is, I’m one happy camper. The Elantra SEL is a class act packed with bells and whistles that used to be the sole domain of luxury cars. I’m still surprised that I actually bought a relatively inexpensive compact car-but the overall “feel” of the car seems more high end and it’s roomy for its size.
Just traded my truck for the elantra tech edition first couple of days i missed my truck couple of weeks later love the handling the tech and so cheap on gas
@@Lessontobe no I’m not. There have been so many wiring issues. My windows stopped working, my screen goes black, my doors don’t lock. I’m getting rid of it
@@tylerstirling2843 yes they were but the company retracted due to me being in a car accident a couple months prior. The car has lane assist and when it detects another car about to hit you, it will steer the car automatically out of the way. My Elantra detected a car next to me when there was nothing there and steered me into sideswiping the car next to me. No one was hurt & the company decided my car did not do anything and removed warranty when it was repaired
The only thing I don’t like is that bar that’s going down between the seats it seems it would make it uncomfortable for the passenger to use a cupholder
