Most impressive part for me is from 2:12 when the driver is shifting into 6th gear and holding throttle before and after reaching the top of Schwedenkreuz taking the apex with 188 km/h. That's freaking fast for such a little car and great driving skills!

@@travis8665 Not necessarily, some of those old Porsches don't stand a chance against newer, lighter, nippier hot hatches around a track. you can see in the video that the more modern Porsches came past. I own one of these little pocket rockets, and they're wicked to drive.
1.6ltr turbo engine much lighter than the i30n and man it can rev for a turbo car. Great stuff. Imagine when the aftetmarket scene kicks in years later for this car platform.
Pas vraiment comparable, les chronos Renault sont fait piste fermée (sans traffic) et avec un pilote qui a fait des centaines de tours dans une voiture qu'il connaît sur le bout des doigts. Difficile d'établir une hiérarchie partant de la 😉

I've seen a lot of downshifts where you'd expect a turbo car has enough torque, especially around 4.000 rpm - 5:30 not enough power and torque at 5.000 rpm to pickup speed? Probably 30+ degrees and lower power output? Great lap tough! 🏁
Do you know that part of the track live? It is very steep overthere but you can not see that good on the video. In its class this car is very good I think and the driver is very good too. Around 8'20 btg in trafic is not slow in this car. And in a car it feels faster than on a video. Last weekend I had a passenger lap in a i30N Fastback. It is a part of the Hyundai Driving Experience. I can recommand to do that if you want a taxi lap not expensive on the Nürburgring. eu.drivingexperience.hyundai.com/booking/experience-details/nordschleife-n-taxi If it not changes the i20N will not be available for a taxi lap. Now they have the i30N hatch and fastback. I have nothing to do with that taxi company, I just want to let you know about this new taxi lap company.
@@grantorino9049 it's not math, that's how it generally works. Difference is only straight road so handling doesn't matter there and powerwise they're pretty much same.

Looks like a good hot hatch the i20N, seem to be a little weak at the top end, but I'm sure a stage 1 or 2 map can release mush more power then from factory, going to be better for tuning then the Mk8 Fiesta ST as the i20N is a 4Pot, like it.

C’est bien que Hyundai fasse des sportives. Il y une relation entre les sportives et l’image de marque. Un constructeur sans sportive (Dacia, Citroën, Fiat) a une image low cost. Pour avoir une vraie image de généraliste, il faut avoir des sportives reconnues. Quand vous proposez que des modèles « puissants », vous pouvez prétendre au badge « premium ». Par puissant, comprenez par exemple que dans le segment C, ça comment aux environs de 150 cv. Si vous avez un compacte avec un moteur de 100-120 cv, vous n’êtes probablement pas premium. 😂 150 cv n’a rien de sportif sur une compacte, mais c’est une puissance qui est suffisante pour rouler de manière confortable dans toutes les situations.
Looks like a very torquey engine very strong! looks fast and stable but looks a bit out of control under heavy breaking,maybe better tyres and coilovers will help?
@@p1ccoLo230685 he also literally overtook Porsches and BMWs, so what's the logic here? You can overtake any car you want, but that doesn't mean yours is faster. The i20 N was being driven by a professional, the Fiesta ST was probably also being driven by a tourist (not to mention that it was the old generation model).
@@mikerelvas The logic is, that your car is only as fast as his driver ;-) Whats the point of discussing which car of the same class is a tad faster when noone except professionals can drive these cars so that it makes a difference :-) Both are nice cars. I was just trying to make a joke ;-)

C'est qu'elle m'a l'air très efficace cette i20N, très stable, moins fun et joueuse que sa concurrente la fiesta St j'ai l'impression... A confirmer sur les comparatifs, mais au moins la petite Ford à trouver à qui causer dans sa catégorie de + en + désertée donc c'est cool, merci Hyundai ✅
Oui elle semble beaucoup moins piegeuse et délicate à haute vitesse qu'une Alpine ! C'est une auto très bien équilibrée avec les quatre roues bien aux 4 coins de la caisse ( peu de porte à faux avant)

U can mount the 340mm i30N brakes (pre facelift) , they fit. We tried in our Workshop 👌 stock Brake front is from i40 2.0L Diesel. Should be enough for daily usage

Je me suis fait la même réflexion, les suspensions sont pas mal du tout, elle n’a pas l’air de sous-virer, vraiment impressionnant. Le moteur serait un poil plus expressif en haut et cela serait parfait. Une découverte pour moi cette i20N.
