2021 Hyundai i30 Review: "I ACTUALLY bought this car!!!" 

Nice to get a review where some wanker isn't comparing a family car to a Lotus or a Hellcat. 90+% of us are not ferrets with baseball caps backwards looking to race on public roads. We want to know about the 'livability' of the car, comfort on rough roads etc. Well done.

Great video bro, I ran to my local dealer and test drove the 2023 active model which is basically the same as the base model but with a bigger wheel/leather seats/4 power windows, loved the feel and ordered it right away. I even got the same colour as yours, think it's called fluid metal. The 2.0L engine from base to elite model should easily gets the day to day job done, and it's a no brainer for anyone that is bothered by CVTs. Other potential buyers out there please note the wireless feature of apple carplay/android auto is ONLY available on the base model and active model, don't know exactly why but once you bump up to Elite or higher models you get a bigger screen with the infotainment system but can only use this feature with cable connections. You get more features at this price level when comparing with Mazda 3 and Corolla, and guys forget about Civic for now I almost teared up when I saw the price on their vehicles in 2023...thanks again for the great video

The besides all the other great features this car has it's the indicators that sold me 😅 first time I saw it I thought all cars need something similar. Totally agree with what you said about hidden indicators and not seeing them until last second.

Can’t believe the amount of features there, I have a rav4 gxl hybrid on order but with the wait times at the moment + my 2013 mazda 2 being annoying on the highway, I am strongly considering the i30 either base trim or active. I am test driving it this coming Saturday in Melbourne’s west, any things to look out for? How much road noise do you find at 100-110 kms?

Very Good review. My wife has an i30 PD 18MY Turbo Premium SR (the last year of 'SR'). It has all 'the bells and whistles' of the current model. It does LKeepAssist & Radar Cruise but tend to wander to the grass. Getting it's 4 year Dealer Service tomorrow. Must ask about adding Lane Centre Assist. (Is it possible by a simple fix?) It sure sounds good. As for performance. The turbo goes 'like a scalded cat'! It's just below the i30N. Also find our local Hyundai Dealer excellent. thanks again, from Melbourne

Love how they come with a full spare tyre, not the space saver wheel. Do you think it is a limitation not having wired apple play as well as wireless? If the wireless was go play up, there is no way to plug the phone in. There is also no aux plug to charge phone

I signed a contract for the base model but after watching some videos people are saying that the n line turbo engine is better? Do you think the base model engine is fast enough / have enough power as it is?

Android auto with Kia cerato same issue but wired. Frequently disconnects. Dealer reset system only for problem reappear again. Did you manage to get it sorted ? Thanks.
