@@RiderNexus that movie still wasn't good though, it just looked more accurate. One of those movies that has to remind you over and over "hey, this takes place in the 90s"
Hailee Steinfeld is the name you're looking for (played Kate Bishop and Vi) and nah, she's not "going places" well she is, but she's also already been to those places. Starred in an oscar-winning film (Into The Spiderverse as Spidergwen) and she was nominated for a best actress Oscar at the age of 13 for her role in True Grit. (seriously, she's phenomenal in general, but her role in True Grit is transcendental. one of the best child-acting performances of all time if not the best.
I think Scott likes No Way Home better than the other Spiderman movies because it's Peter dealing with Spiderman bullshit and not dealing with Tony Stark's bullshit.
@@selainx Maybe? I suppose it depends from place to place. Certainly it's not discouraged much anymore, but the TFS crew probably wants to be real careful not to make a false start and need to stop again because they jumped the gun.
So i just got covid for the time so great way to start the year and I must say this is just simply love this podcast. Tis a brilliant light in an otherwise bleak world 🌎 may you always ROCK THE DRAGON 🐉 love you guys!!
Kaiser's feelings about NFTS , crypto, metaverse bullshit is a pretty universal opinion I agree with whole heartedly. I too wish I was dead then have to deal with that BS.
2021 for me was a backlog year and the year I got back into manga I FINALLY read ALL of Naruto (I liked, but the final arc kinda blows) and Bleach (Which I LOVED), and am currently reading One Piece (Which I am really liking a lot since Arabasta) My backlog is small, mainly Shonen series that I'd read as it takes less time than watching
2021 was a mixed bag for me. We got a lot of good things like Centuarworld, Ssss.Dynazeon, Evangelion 3.0+1.0, and Arcane. But you also get a Higurashi Sotsu, the world ends with you the anime, and most disappointingly Trollhunters rise of the titans.
Glad to see another WTC fan here! And yes, Sotsu was terrible. I really hope that it was just a fluke on Ryukishi's part and not representative of the future of the franchise.
@@fafaaf61 It was just sad Gou built up at least to me an interesting idea. That failed miserably in Sotsu with the time travel and Satoko becoming a witch Eua/Featherine all of that was nothing more but fan service. Also the sheer lack of consequences Satoko killed Rika, turned her friends into psychotic killers in each timeline, got even with her Uncle who was trying to redeem himself. Felt like she got a slap on the wrist by the end because everyone still likes her even after all the horrible things she did!? Dr.Strange Supreme messed with time to save Palmer and Lost everything because it not just Palmer but his whole god damn universe! How is it that Marvel what if ep 4 told a better story in 1 episode than Sotsu’s 15?
Great episode! So I agree with Lanipator, Invincible and Arcane were AMAZING and top games! As for video games? Haven't had time to really enjoy any, since in gradschool. I'm still riding the Hades wave, that's probably one of my GOAT games.
The Wilson Fisk scene is a call back to a very specific scene in the comics - and he lives 😁 So yes, he is very likely coming back. The fact Matt Murdock has been back in the MCU too suggests they are both going to be back in some form.
Favorite movie of 2021 was Free Guy. Mortal Kombat was a close 2nd but i just can't get over them naming the main character Cole Young. That's the same name as a kid who bullied me in school.
@@Curseco lmao stay mad, kid. Patreon money was always for alternate projects because they literally can't make direct money from Abridged content because if they do, they can get their legs broke by Toei.
Games would be a hard one my four favorites would be Nier replicant ver 1.2247, no more heroes 3, and SMT 5 and Neo the world ends with you. Even though 3 got rid of the Rose nasty my favorite beam katana I still enjoyed the fights, the narrative, and the “Sumo” fight at the end.
So, context I was a fan of dreamworks Tales of Arcadia series they gave me shows I really enjoyed especially 3below that felt like a spiritual successor to Sym-Bionic titan in ways. When Rise of the titans trailer came out I thought it would be an Avengers endgame finale instead it felt like the Mighty Max finale “Armageddon outta here” but worse and less excusable. And I’m sorry unless we get rebuild Tales of Arcadia 1.11 you are (not) the Trollhunter where we get the good ending this was super underwhelming in my opinion. Also the less said about the Steve male pregnancy sub plot in the movie the better.
I chose to believe that Steve was able to insert himself into the main timestream using the Time Stone. Quantum Travel is between Universes, only the Time Stone can actually travel through an individual timestream without causing divergences
The whole time travel thing from endgame really killed me and is on my biggest problems with it. Hopefully Lani will watch the extended version of Halloween kills on DVD
Hades has been my pandemic game. I've had 3 buddies where we watch each other play on discord and have each put in well over 100 hours now. It's a great game.
2021 was the best year for me. I finally gained some sizeable amount of income I never got in my life and many things went well in my life, unlike in previous years.
my partner and I were actually really pissed about encanto and how they treated and failed to really apologize or acknowledge the horrid way they treated the mc for almost her whole life
Zack Snyder's Justice League was everything I thought it would be, I understand the problems that trilogy had, but I loved all three of his DC films and I don't think we'll ever get a better Superman trilogy
I've done a good deal of Super Auto Pets. It seems like the developers really care as the game has changed a lot. The Dodo used to be extremely powerful until they nerfed it twice. Just you can tell they're trying to make it more interesting. I love that they added rules so you can setup custom matches.
So have I. Skul is the first rogue like I ever played and I really like it. Probably because its skull system makes me feel like I'm playing Mega Man or Kirby without losing powers.
Some of the 2021 highlights for me: The new West Side Story film was surprisingly amazing. The new Guardians of the Galaxy Game is great Doctor Who: Flux was somewhat better then the last two seasons of the show. The Matrix Resurrections is a big fuck you and I loved it for it
Best stuff to happen to me in 2021... I built my first PC (fuck cryptobros/miners. I didn't pay a scalper). I was able to go to a VERY needed dentist appointment. Honestly, besides that it was just a lot of nose to the grind working and trying to keep myself from going nuts. I'm working on some personal projects, played through some of my old games and getting used to playing on PC now. And I had a good time just having fun on discord with friends, making new ones and having fun.
I watched someone play hollow knight, and I do have one criticism; Yes, I know you can go and get the shade cloak pretty early, but the way the person I was watching played it, he didn't get it until like... over twenty hours into the game (Probably more; he cut out a lot of backtracking, being lost, and failed boss attempts); like, he beat the Hollow Knight and got an ending without it. And when he did pick it up, he kept *forgetting* that his dash had i-frames now, which I can hardly blame him for. Just saying, a powerup that changes how you interact with the game's combat system that drastically shouldn't be something that you can *miss entirely* on your first playthrough.
“Boy Blunder” Really did not do great things to his co-workers. And cried and moaned that he couldn’t take the next step. Haida to me is close to becoming the next Marinette from miraculous.
I think he'd notice if the guy he fought was black instead of white. There's another comic character who took up the mantle during the Cold War. He was an ass and I like the idea of Red Guardian beating him up
Here’s my pitch for Red Guardian vs Captain America, he fought one of the dick knock off versions of Captain America. Made by Howard Stark this would justify the various Captain America shields in the Iron Man movies, and why Howard had a trunk load of Super Soldier formula when Bucky killed him.
one of my absolute favs this year are hit monkey, boba fett, slime anime getting another season, realistic hero saves the kingdom and leaving the heros party anime coming out. My partner and i also really enjoyed lupin my least favs was how all my fav shows were done so awfully for their last season. 7 deadly sins, lucifer, and a few others all just had the worst writing due to plot holes. mcguffin, and deus ex machina bs.
Movies: Movie of the year to me was indeed the Suicide Squad. Also really dug Godzilla vs Kong, & enjoyed the Green Knight. MCU: I'd have to say No Way Home is certainly an A+ movie in my rankings. It's in the same ranking with Infinity War & Captain America Civil War. But it's not an S rank movie like Captain America Winter Soldier, Endgame, Thor Ragnarok, GotG Vol 2, or Black Panther. Shang-Chi was a B+ movie to me while Black Widow was a solid B rank. As for the Disney+ shows, Loki Season 1 is absolute A+ ranking right up there with Daredevil Season 1. I think both Wandavision & Hawkeye are around A- rank to me. Wandavision COULD of been A+ or even an S- if the last episode was done better. Falcon and the Winter Soldier was a B+ to me. What If had some great episodes but overall an B- in my opinion. Games: Haven't played many games this year but I enjoyed FFVII Remake Intergrade with the Yuffie side story. It can keep me somewhat satisfied till Part 2 is finally out. TV Shows: I know a lot of people have their issues with Rick & Morty, and their latest season was overall "meh." But DAMN did those last three episodes just stick the landing & honestly kinda make going through the season somewhat worth it.
Netflix was a massive mix bag this year. On one hand we got arcane and on the other we got the nostalgia trash fire story that was he man and just how disappointing it was as a fan. But December was fucking wild with halo, Spider-Man, matrix, and bobba fett.
WHEN 👏 IS👏 KAISER 👏GONNA 👏TALK👏ABOUT👏 THE OWL HOUSE? especially since it's coming back Also amphibia Just talk about disney animated shows that came out lately You're missing on a lot of good shows
Quick opinion time, I liked Hawkeye. Hailey did her acting very well except the action scenes, I could spot the stunt double immediately. Hailey herself moves too fragily for the body control she should have. It's a minor complaint and her stuntwoman does a great job. It's too obvious when she switches in and out to get a quick face shot, back to the stuntwoman, another face shot. Like "look look, it's still me" but it isn't. Felt forced
You sons of bitches I thought you stopped doing the talk cast Pod. Color me surprised you made an entirely new channel for it well subscribed and what a backlog to catch up on.
Best game of 2021 for me was Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous! Most disappointing game of 2021 for me was Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Best movie was Spiderman No Way Home
Oof, can not agree with Kaiser saying he really wanted to like a show because it had the right message... That mindset is exactly why so many get annoyed at woke in their shows, because it is so obvious the message is more important that the quality of the story
you guys are WRONG... Suicide squad is just an OK movie dragged down by the 30 minute detour just to include the overused/overhyped/overexploited character of harley quinn, you can take her out of the movie and it changes NOTHING. edit: i got my PS5 from amazon, just went in and purchased it, didn't have to hunt for it at all, i know there is a problem with supply in stores but i see them available in amazon.
