I like how easy you got the oil filter cap off, whereas my b*stard oil techs at kia seemed to have locked the thing on their for eternity so i cant get it off myself
3:31 shows that the drain plug was pushed into the filter housing ( I believe that's what you ment and not the filter itself) . Im sorry this hung you up, but that's exactly how i did it.
@@toethumbmechanics I couldn't get the plug to go through the hole on the housing for some reason. So I had to put it on the filter first, then put everything into the housing; it sounds weird, I know. Great video! It helped a ton
so i got to the filter before realizing i dont have a 24mm socket or wrench, now i can't put the drain for the oil filter back in. not really sure why or if it's just finicky and i should just keep messing with it
Do I need to put oil on the gasket on this one or pre fill the filter for this? Please respond and appreciate you! Also I need to replace the pin, the plug that goes I n it, the silver washer, and the gasket that goes on the filter itself, that’s all the parts right?
@@toethumbmechanics thanks. Is there a reason to not pre fill? I’ve read some people say the engine will run dry for a second others say there is more then plenty oil left still inside engine?
The viscosity should always be the same as recommended by the manufacturer for this. This is a full synthetic, and they work well in all climate conditions.
