2021 Land Rover Defender - Had No Idea I Needed One of These Until Now 

1) The skylights are called Alpine Windows. 2) You only need to press the door lock button to lock it when you leave - not to unlock. To unlock you just grab the handle normally and open it (with the proximity fob close enough). 3) It’s not the P90 and P110. It’s just Defender 90 or Defender 110.

I have had one since Dec 2021. I have the 110SE D240. I love it. Already taken it to many places I haven't been able to go before. I made sure I got the 18" wheels as I do a lot of 4WDing But also lots of long trips. Did a 900km highway trip loaded with all my camping and fishing gear. Averaged 7.3ltr/100km sitting on 120+kmph pretty well all the way till I had to go through Sydney. All I can say is I love it, love it, love it.

great review mate. like how you brought the family into the video and showed the move with your brother. really helped get the message about utility across. if you do end up getting one you might have to put it in valet mode, when your wife drives, or you'll need shares in a gas station ;-)

The wheels are giving people a really hard time, but not many reviewers have covered it. So if you got the P300, you can fit a 18 inch tire in and you have a decent selection of off road tires. However, if you got P400, you are stuck with 19 and up and there are not many choices for tires available. And, many people will laugh at you if you tell them you are going to off road with a 20 inch rim.

Hot dogs in the glove box are a must.

Boxy is GOOD for SUVs! You should want it to maximize available space out back. What we SHOULDN'T want is a suv that is really a hatchback.. Sloped rear window that's too far forward.

In many of the shots, your control center buttons and also on the steering wheel are blinking on and off like crazy. Is that a video anomaly or does it really flash like that all the time - it would drive me nuts!

How did you get it to snow while filming?

There's no such vehicle as a P110 or P90 - they are 110 or 90 (no P) - the P belongs to the 300 or 400

Shouldn't the rear door open the other way for right driving vehicles

I think its super nice car just not very good as TFL had a lot of car problems with it but I really love how this one looks more luxury then a Jeep a British Icon I had the money I get it even with the car brakes down sometimes

If it was reliable, I'd want one too. It looks pretty cool.

I like it a lot but I don't trust it ( a lot ) to not be in the shop 50% + of the time you have it...

LMAO whenever I see your wife smiling when she's in a car I always feel like it's about to be a real expensive day for you 😂 I really like the new Defender, I just don't trust it, I feel like if I buy a car I should be able to drive it everyday. LOL You are the first person to mention that door handle thing and wow, that's just a stupid design. 🤦‍♂️

I hate that door handle as well....

As a Brit I really want to like the Defender, but when I see one on the road they just look odd to me. They are huge but somehow top heavy, narrow and gawky. And the spare wheel sticks out so much, it sits 2/3" from the door. Also there's way too much tech to go wrong. Wish LR and you well.

Off road? LMAO This expensive spaceship has too much tech to risk damage or a breakdown in an isolated location. You better have DEEP pockets to pay for repairs. Another toy for the urban rich.

No longer a practical off road safari vehicle- 20” rims🙈.. Africa, Asia, Latin America markets nixed by this factor alone. Air suspension - the same impossible to service and this use. Can’t reasonable mount winch etc without sending it back to the dealer... and even then they struggle to make mods required for 4x4 utilization. Keep it for the supermarket run but don’t ever try to really off road. This is not as capable as preceding defenders, not that they were comparable to a Land Cruiser.

Shame about the garbage engine options. Give diesel

$100k is a lot of money for a very unreliable vehicle with costly maintenance
