You say that until you sit in one. Trust me, from being an owner of both, the 5 series is 100x more luxurious inside. The E Class looks amazing, don't get me wrong, but quality is like night and day when you sit in each. It's shocking the one perceived as super luxurious, Mercedes, is terrible in quality compared to the BMW. My partner had the 2016 and then 2019 Mercedes E-Class, where as I had the 2016 and now 2019 5 series. She just got rid of the E-Class after a year and swapped to the X5, and after owning those, it really was a no brainer to stick with the BMWs for comfort and luxury.
No. BMW interior is leagues better. BMW outside, BMW inside. Maybe if the designer of the Merc designs the interior of the BMW, that would be sick, but quality wise, BMW wins hands down.
Everytime when benz new shape come out people dont like it but when u see on road it looks so sexy and the interior of MERC is next level not BMW or AUDI can reach it . You feel special when you sit inside . BMW interior is so shit they improved in 2017 but still nothing like MERC . This E CLASS is HIT for sure

Up to 2019 i would say Merc was ahead on exterior design, but sudden slip on design of mercedes and good job on BMW , made things turned good for BMW, this round BMW win in all aspects. Will see what these two giants present in 2022 with new chassis
I like the Merc more than the BMW, I like the new E Class design more than the previous one and the BMW 5 Series’s design. I feel like the previous design was better for the 5 series.

After seeing the new Bmw4 grill, the Mercedes design improved. In Korea, the official price of Mercedes-Benz and BMW are the same, but if you go to a dealer, you can buy BMW for $10,000 cheaper.
Although the line of the BMW looks nicer, the interior stayed in the 80s.. looks old fashioned. The new lone of Mercedes is rather sober but the interior and tech is just wonderful, so I'd chose the MB
I was a Mercedes man for a very long time but I was convinced by BMW. In my opinion Mercedes have lost their edge when it comes to forward thinking designs. BMW is classy, effective, forward thinking and won my business. I am collecting my brand new car from the dealership tomorrow. Mercedes are elegant yes but there was a time where Mercedes was aggressive too but not anymore.

Wrong that’s the AMG line package the actual E63 AMG is more aggressive. The interior shots of the merc were for some reason the actual AMG tho.THE BMW has M package
5 Series got sharper and E Class got blander. BMW wins this round easy. E Class design was already pretty featureless and they made it even more anonymous. Unbelievable.

I'm BMW big fan but the interior is the same over and over again. This BMW makes me so disappointed. Mercedes wins with the interior. So I will have to take the Mercedes for 2021.
Previous E classes were far better than this new design. For an E class, the front view should have look broader but it's just a pity at how it actually looks now! Now matter how high tech this new E class be , but the truth is that it's design looks horrible & will not attract great customers! I would myself go for BMW. I've driven C classes & E classes of previous generations. Now , BMW is taking on the lead. How could Mercedes designers lack of creativity? It's a pity.
