Still one of the sexiest bikes on the market, but I believe the original Dragster RR in red and white, with the white spoked wheels, is THE most beautiful example of them all! The white rim with the black spokes on the single sided swingarm makes the rear wheel appear to be totally disconnected from the bike yet following it everywhere. The current RR wheels in their dark colors lose that effect.
I’ve got a 2015 Dragster RR and its mad. I ditched the bar end mirrors for a more conventional set up which is easier thru traffic. Also had the seat altered to try and stop me sliding into the tank, which didn’t really work. Absolutely love the bike - it’s a keeper 👍
Both stunning looking bikes, Dragster edges it on the looks, but maybe the Brutale the sensible choice, have an older MV on my bucket list, Cheers Motobob
When I rode a Dragster a few years back, it felt like a motard - felt like I was perched over the front wheel. Very responsive steering, and I was chucking monos without even trying. I’d go for the slightly less insane Brutale.
That makes sense now that you pointed it. The Dragster is evident in its name. I suppose they brought in the front wheel rake and extended the rear wheel.
Just bought a 2018 dragster in grey. The 2021 models are better and I like the TFT and the electronics , but the colors they offer are a bit dull and they are not doing it justice. This is a stand out bike and even if you are not a poser , when you pay that much you want to look at it admire it, it needs to stand out. I haven't riden the Brutale, but the dragster did not feel like it doesn't want to corner and with a 190/55 rear Tyre I am sure it will be as nimble as the brutale. Spoked wheels and that tail light is like you are riding f....n Enterprise And what's wrong in been a poser!!!!!!
You've pretty much nailed it. The only other difference I would say is that I think the pegs on the Brutale are slighly higher, contributing to that sporty feel. I went for Dragster as I like the looks more and I like the leverage of the wide bars (though they are a pain when filtering). The SCS is fantastic if you ride a lot in traffic.
I got the 2023 dragster America about two months ago and I love it! Rides and sounds unlike anything else, although it was the design that got me hooked at first. The SCS (Smart Clutch System) is amazing. You don’t have to worry about the clutch anymore, and is really handy when you are stock on traffic.
I have a 2022 brutale RR without a doubt an exsiting bike **but** have alot of issues with *0* manufacter support The official dealer trying to help but mv is mv
Pizza or mashed potatoes which is better? Depends on which you prefer. And everyone's different and has different needs and intentions and purposes so this is a stupid question in the title of this video. Bike reviews These days are either misinformative or copycat of the same 15 bikes every year. Plus all the paid reviews... Keep seeing hundreds of channels reviewing the same old bikes
If you want to go fast in the twisty bits get the Brutale, easily the best “big bike” I’ve ever ridden on a mountain road. A triple the demon child of a twin and a four, a counter rotating crank and narrower section tyres this thing changes direction almost by thought alone, try it it’s addictive 😁👍
Have Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa (200/55 rear) and you can chuck the 2019 Dragster 800 RC into corners with confidence. Having a 2019 Kawasaki ZR900(Nitron suspension) is a good learning tool too. 😂
It depends on which one is available. These are difficult to find. I am looking primarily at the " Rosso" models. It's a bit more pricey for the Dragster. I like the bar end mirrors on it. I used to like the Triumph bar end mirrors best but these are better. And the Kineo wheels are cool. But I like the Brutale just a bit more. With Ducati making its new Monster look like a MT07 and being built in Thailand, I think that I would not have an issue with the MV. Yet MV Augusta has to seriously expand its dealership base.
Yea that’s a common problem with MV, the dealerships are very few and far between. The Rosso models are definitely a good way to see how an MV feels. As for your comments on the monster, very true, it’s either stay true to Italian made or why are we paying such a premium. Hope you end up getting an MV, they are a dream bike; but just to be honest, make sure you have a dealer close enough you’re willing to go to because they can need a bit of warranty work sometimes. I have an MV dragster lh44, amazing bikes.
MV is the bigggest 💩💩😂 every time damaged! In Germany closed the last garages after KTM buying MV! A Service 12000km costs 1500 to 2000,-€😂😂😂 its Big Shit for Big Money! Only for masochist Guys! 😂
One day... 🤞🤞🤞 Very nice to take both out back to back. I had a demo day go on Dragster and couldn't stop giggling. I think I'd be more of a rider, though. Just have to take both out back to back now...
Rider. Looks are only skin deep. It's the riding experience that counts of the life of the bike. Bike could be as ugly as sin but fantastic to ride and makes you feel you're a much better rider, no question about which bike you'd put your hard earned on. Lot of Ducati riders take that view.
I have owned my 22 Dragster SCS for about two months now and WOW! Its my first MV, I have had an R6, YZF, and Buell Lightning 1200 and this Dragster is by far a more superior bike. The light body and short wheel base really make the bike a part of your body. Where you think, it goes. There is so much torque its mind blowing. More torque than my 1200 cc V-twin buell. The SCS is awesome. Not needing the clutch lever is weird at first but its incredibly convenient at traffic lights and in quick shifts. I absolutely love the Dragster.
@@aka_pierre yes. It still works perfectly if you prefer to ride it like a normal bike and operate the clutch manually. You just don’t have to. I still use it at time accelerating in first gear at lights because I do love shifting. It’s part of riding, but it truly convenient to not HAVE to because the clutch less requirement mixed with the smoothness of the speed shifter is mind blowing
I've got the 2015 B3 Dragster 800 and its far more committed than the new one, bars are lower, not quite as wide, you're much more leaned forward on it, but still, there is no room to move forward/backward in the seat which does detract from the sportiness of it. Remove the standard 200/50 rear tyre and spin on a 200/55 or a 200/60 and the bike is actually more flicky and nimble than the Brutale - That turns the Dragster from a posers bike into a riders bike that can also pose for the camera... I am a Dragster Die hard, but my next bike (addition to the stable, not replacing) will be a Brutale 800 RC... Why not have both?
A poser. 🤩 2019 Dragster 800 RC with SC protect exhaust and number 37 paint scheme for added bling. Bonkers bike. One to have even when down on tech, harsh rear suspension, but better price to value as prices are just for super rich now. 6000km and only exhaust valve(replaced under warranty) and rear brake have failed thus far 😂😂 Bike goes off like a frog in a sock 😊 My favourite Sunday café hop bike 😍
MV Augusta UK seemingly blissfully unaware that the UK has populated areas and even towns and cities North of Watford. Seriously, what is it with MV and KTM and their dire UK dealership network??
I love V2’s and triples. Triples with both torque and high rpm character like a v4 but a little rougher(uniqueness). I own a MV Dragster Pirelli edition and a Super Duke. I decided the MV over the Streetfighter V4. SD already the best street bike with torque/horsepower below 9500 rpm. MV is light and is the size of a bicycle. No mods needed as it is perfect. My Black/yellow pops. Great review. MV building great bikes with great warranties. My MV is number 27/200.
@@aka_pierre I did. I had both the 2018 and 2020 and recently sold my 2020. It is by far my favorite street bike, but it's too much and makes me do stupid stuff 😆
2019 Dragster 800RC with SC project exhaust and it sounds like an aggressive and angry sewing machine. Can be heard 1Km away, popping, banging and screaming with that distinctive three cylinder howl 😂😂 [shouting] It’s bloody loud 😂😂 My original Euro4 factory fitted exhausted sounded pretty good too 👍🏼
Euro 4 dragster has best balance of induction roar and exhaust noise in standard form and above 7k on standard exhaust sounds good for rider,i put SC on mine its very load, you can't hear the lovely induction roar anymore under the tank as exhaust drowns it out, wear earplugs guaranteed hearing damage, and I can't see it getting on trackdays maybe I am wrong, the jury's out on SC for me,only bought SC because I came across RC kit on ebay with dedicated ECU which give additional 10bhp and raises Rev limit 500rpm otherwise I would have bought cheaper QD. My Euro 5 superveloce is quieter in standard spec both on induction and exhaust will research exhaust carefully on SV as I don't want the extreme SC of dragster.
@@nnh-wm8sk No, I don't have it. But I know people who have 2023 models and say it's the same as it always was. engine breaks, electronics fail, battery degrades quickly
