@@LargestCheetah Lol, hey waddya know lol. I'm so stoked about the pick. Jumped 5 feet off the couch. Guy's a baller. Love both, but happy with the pick. Cheers ✌🏼
@@ardo141 elite playmaking, on ball defense and versatility potential, he took a lot of tough shots due to terrible college spacing so I think he could develop into a solid scorer. Obviously if a player like Jalen Green is available we should take him, I’d like jaden springer too
My favorite player in this draft by far. My Pistons have the 1st pick so I gotta go with Cade. But this kid right here man, he may not be the biggest star to come out of this draft but I promise u one thing he will be a helluva winner. He’s a special talent
Can't wait to watch NN run "janky" defenses with Fred, Scottie, OG, Spicy, and Bonjour. Diamond-and-one, box-and-one, triangle-and-two, full-court press, zone, etc etc.
Don't exclude Spicy P in that. When you look at Siakam's stats defensively he's up there. Trent Jr is a good sized SG who can use his hands well on drives like Fred But OG,Barnes and Siakam are a force defensively & if they can scoop Moses Brown they'll be dirty AF defensively. Raptors could eventually do something nutty AF with a starting lineup of PG: FVV SG: OG SF: Barnes PF: Siakam C: Precious Sure you're slightly undersized at C but with all the other length and Precious's athleticism & strength it would easily be successful.
@@jacquesschrap8932 I think they're definitely making the playoffs and could be a sleeper. Man if they can get another shooter besides Trent watch out East
@@healthfadsfade I agree but I foresee OG taking another big step on the offensive end. I called it a few years back he's on the Jimmy Butler path, a nice steady growth until he becomes a perennial all-star. OG is the most valuable contract in the NBA imo
High defensive IQ and is very defensively responsible. He knows how to use his length to his advantage. Raptors fans, don’t panic... we have a STUD. Between OG, Him, Siakam, we’ll be a top defensive team in a few years
As a raps fan I got excited when they started talking about transition offence and fast breaks. Our offence thrives on that type of play. Can’t wait to see him and pascal kill it
He’s going to enjoy playing in Toronto for the same reason that he FVV said…he was given a lot of freedom to play his game. NN will put him in the best position to succeed.
Interesting who Mike is really not asking about the Play but really the thought process, and how Scottie among others sees and evaluates the situations and barriers that a player faces with their performance and that of understanding the opponent.
If I had to make a bet on which player in this draft helps lead his team to a championship , I'd pick Barnes. Dudes got the heart and passion to play do it all basketball. Love this pick for whoever's gets him. Hopefully Chicago around 8... ;)
I agree and he will be the one that will close the deal for the Utah jazz a player like this is the reason why the jazz are not in the playoffs right now because of the ability to have defensive presence while going small ball
True. He's a better fit for the Warriors system but if Juan Tuscano-Anderson didn't improve and could be the next Iggy/Shaun. I would draft Scottie but he and JTA have the same role. So imma pass for him and pick Moses Moody instead.
@@jrexlegaspi I don’t think you pass on a talent like Scottie for JTA. He’s already 28 and I just feel like Scottie will be better right off the bat. I say draft Scottie if he’s there at 7 and a shooter at 14
@@ninerempire3398 They needed a rookie who can score and defend off the bench. Moses Moody and Chris Duarte are NBA-ready for me. Moses Moody has the longest wingspan of their batch, his height is 6'6 and his wingspan is 7'1. He can also score on 3 levels (catch & shoot, off the dribble and post up). He's also one of the best defenders on his batch. The most interesting about him is he can also sell a foul OFTEN, He has the highest attempts (186) and highest made (151) on their batch in one season. The best comparison for him is, Mykal Bridges if he's limited to hold the ball or Khris Middleton if he's gonna be the 3rd option to score before Klay's back. About Chris Duarte, he's already 24 years old. It means he already matured in his role and the best comparison for him is Klay Thompson because they both have the same playstyle, height, wingspan, and position. Check his prospect video. He's interesting!
@choazyy as a Raps fan myself, I will have faith that what Masai does is the right call. I just view using the 4th spot to get Barnes as a mistake, if we traded down with Orlando maybe for their 5th and 8th pick - I could see that. Again though, I have faith in Masai to make the right call, and if he thnks Barnes at 4 is the right call, I certainly do not know better.
@@quaniereacts maybe. But Draymond is the most intelligent basketball player I've ever seen, save maybe Lebron, CP3 and Rodman. Hopefully Scottie continues to develop his clearly high BBIQ!
Kinda want to Raps to chose although we need probably more an offensive guy like Bouknight. But I'm think the Warriors will get him it's a perfect fit tbh, they have scoring with Curry, Klay and Wigs could use some more defense. Plus add Barnes playmaking to a team with great playmaking already geez
@@maxcali863 haha ya I was honestly on the fence picking Barnes at 4. My comment was before the lottery. But I'm glad we have him, he's still pretty raw but he has a ton of potential. He can be like a Giannis lite, better jumpshot but like not as good at all the other stuff. But man hes playing out his mind right now.
Unfortunately, not anymore. The prime spot to get him is #5 now. His draft stock has been increasing and he might go ahead of Kuminga. The Warriors will still get someone good at that spot but for Barnes you'll need to trade up
With a better IQ and he’s much more vocal and intense then OG. He might end up growing to a few inches taller and longer as well. If Scottie develops a 34% 3 & 75% FTs he’s a two way stud
Reminds me of Draymond Green. More size, but the hustle and playmaking is there. If OKC doesn't snag him, I could see him on the Warriors at 7 (If they don't trade the pick).
Scottie, good D on RJ, but you should have forced him to his right hand on that play, but great D, high motor, versatile, and court awareness from Barnes
They finna kill this man career OKC don't, are good Defensive players but offensive development yeah fashion he would probably be wat Jabari Parker was supposed to be if he gonto okc of he comes to GSW he would probably get even more development on the both sides of the court
@@marshal11ify look I love scotties game, but the dude doesn’t score. He’s a legit top 10 pick, but he’s not better than Cade or Suggs. We will see though, ya never know.
@@yaquvyhardson3768 he came off the bench played less mins than Suggs and averaged 5 less ppg with similar assists per game stats, his ceiling (Scottie) is enormous
He has Raptors written all over him. Scottie Barnes - Defensively, A level versatility, IQ and playmaking A level , Rebounds well and should be able to get too 34% 3 with 75% FTs , 50% ish overall.
