The emotion after that last beam routine from Michigan was so moving! Congratulations to them. They really did that and believed wholly in their gymnastics. How amazing.
@@glaznflip1501 yep this makes it clear how important conditioning and pacing is. OU as we can see is very good at that-they know how to peak and maximize their points at each competition without putting out so much so that they are burned out for the NCAA finals
I think evryone feel the pressure because everyone wanted to win it just that Florida had a mistakes which is very common in finals just like Oklahoma.
@@kate9223 I refer to Florida, because I support the alligators, in the qualifying round they were first, they were the best, I thought they would win the Championship but I felt the whole team distressed in the final, anyway, rooting for them to do better in the next competition season.
Wow Michigan was ON POINT!!! So proud that they won and beat OU. I was hoping Florida could put together a meet, but their time will come again. But like.... WHY did they put Peyton Richards in beam lineup. Especially as lead off after Semifinals and Regionals?! And then to put her in the floor lineup too... I feel like they gave her too many chances. Did they not have the depth on beam/floor to replace her?
Florida’s incoming freshman class is SCARY lol I’m still pulling for a Michigan Repeat but Florida is definitely the team I am most nervous about beating us lol
Everyone feel the pressure because every team wanted to win. Florida had a mistakes so does Oklahoma but it doesn't make them a bad team they are still one of the best team in NCAA they fight so hard to make it to the final flour. I know they will be back next yr they are stuck. Congrats Michigan fibally its not Oklahoma.
Yeah, Florida tends to peak at the wrong time, they are absolutely flawless in the regular season, not many falls or big mistakes, then when it comes to post season they tend to crumble under the pressure. It was no help when Sydney tore her Achilies, they could've benifited from her scores on beam and floor!
@@mariam__x it’s a school that lacks diversity (including the gymnastics team) and has been in the news historically and especially in the last 5 years of racists incidents against students and people of color.
I couldn’t care less for OU; way too arrogant for me, as evidenced by their roster pictures for 2020. soonersports.com/sports/womens-gymnastics/roster/2020 When I saw those pics, I hoped they’d lose. Feel like saying: ‘You won? Great; now you know how it feels to lose.’ Say, which team do the both of you root for, if any? 🧐
Yes; let us bask in the glory that is the Oklahoma Sooners gymnastic team’s FOUR rings. (For reference, Georgia has ten of those, Utah nine, UCLA seven, and Alabama six.) Started gloatin’ pretty early, too, after they became CO-champions. soonersports.com/sports/womens-gymnastics/roster/2015 ‘Oklahoma, that means you TIED the other team for 1st.’ 😧 @glazn flip Which team/institution do you like? I’m curious.
33:56 I have seen some crazy cool skills and routines over the decades, but as a fellow Brit like Lucy Stanhope, I think this might be my most favorite thing I've ever seen anyone perform. The pinky-up cup of tea dance element is amazing and should be rated an F for absolutely fabulou! 🇬🇧☕🤘
I was rooting for OU the whole time but Michigan did a really great job. Congrats on their victory. Anastasia Webb was still awesome getting AA I really wish she would be back next year. So many great gymnasts will be missed next year.
I was at my Michigan state meet during this competition, and during my beam routine, the announcer announced that Michigan had won the title and everyone started cheering and clapping and it was so hard to focus haha. I still got a 9.575 though haha.
So happy for them. I hope they got a team pic without the masks. I'd like to see it. If they can sit and eat without masks they can take a pic without it.
@@jlyfan why wouldn’t you want her to take a second year? I mean she’s amazing! Even though she didn’t get the AAI award she has gotten nominated for the Honda award.
Commentator- gymnastics skills are rated from a-e, e being the most difficult Simone- hold my triple double I know that in college gymnastics you can’t do anything harder than an e this was just a joke
Probably to explain to the audience where the deductions are coming from. It can be hard as a casual fan to see breaks in form that aren't just hops on the landing
@@Sierra-dj8rj that makes sense but still as a casual watcher(to me), sometimes it doesn’t matter. Like the girls know where they messed up, iont like that it’s blasted like it is. But that’s just me.
They act so poised during the routines but ruin the whole effect when they act like nuts after the routine is done. That shows ZERO class. Have some humility.
you should see how the guys act in men's college gymnastics🤣 don't see u complaining about that ... oh yeah women have to be elegant and poised right? what a joke
