best idea for camping to do when bored, ahead of time bring a satellite dish, it could even be directv or dish network, all you have to do is modify it by buying a linear KU band lnb and buy a battery powered satellite finder or any type of receiver which will require a power source, i did this for myself and it was hard to point the dish without internet or phone service but finally i got it using a compass and got 100 tv channels i could watch in my tent. it was fun camping with my entire family and my dad's dad's family! - Update, the tv channels were all free. so no payment because it's called free to air tv so i think its pretty cool, i got cnn news, and nbc channels. which was a cool one
