This guy slightly misunderstood Nismo. Yes like you said Amg and RS abut it is more of a trim level rather than performance enhancement. It’s like AMG Aline or S line trim levels rather than S63 or RS as you said. So they will never add a launch control and reduce the fuel tank that’s just changing the car and nismo will not do this to the Nissan patrol. Overall lovely review
Great review. The car is great and I agree that more could be done by the engineers, but I disagree with your suggestion to remove the 3rd row of seats and reduce the fuel tank size, it is after all an off road SUV with capacity for 8 ppl. I agree with the launch control would recommend the following as well - have a height adjustable suspension for off road use, so it can be raised and lowered, otherwise its just a road car. Also they should increase the power to at least 450BHP. The standard Patrol has 400BHP and for the Nismo badge, they should have made it special and gone up by at least 50BHP, ideally 100BHP :-)
Hey Munawar, Thank you and glad you enjoyed the review. The suggestion to remove the last row and reduce fuel tank size are only to reduce weight quickly and make the car feel a lot more powerful and agile. After all, the NISMO can't really go off-road because of the low bodykit and huge wheels, so they might as well reduce weight an make it a fabulous on-road performance SUV. As you suggested, making the horsepower 500 would be IDEAL, but since that would be difficult, the easy fix is to make it a 5seater and reduce the tank size :D

For true performance perhaps true Stainless Steel dual exhaust and a Supercharger or Turbo. Functional hood ventilation to improve engine compartment cooling.
I see nothing wrong with it. Yes its Nismo but its a full size SUV,not a sports car. And it certianly has more power than the more popular land crusier. Even the GR land crusier is less power than this. Almost a decade ago the Patrol showed its worth by pulling a 170ton IL aircraft to a Guiness World Record. Its since then Ive been a fan of the Y62. Now with this Nismo version. Its all great except for the part where its only the middle east that gets it. Hmmm.
You have a valid point, it's just that with the NISMO name you expect the car to be more performance oriented. Let's put it this way, if you drove the Audi RS Q8 and the regular Q8, they feel like two completely different cars. If you drove the X5M and the regular X5, again they would feel like two completely different cars. Here with the NISMO, it just doesn't...

@@m7airbi344 Sand dune driving = Lower tyre pressure and off you go with momentum straight up and down the dune. Zero rock steps, zero picking lines, zero river crossings, zero bog holes and absolutely zero muddy ruts. Yeah sand dune driving is really hard.

If you're talking about driving off a 1km cliff with a parachute and ejection seat, this car won't do that. But the most difficult kind of offroading that this car is capable of, it's sand dune driving. Not sand dune driving near Dubai, go to Liwa and drive to the Saudi Arabian border. Most people who say they think sand dune driving is easy cant do it. Try it yourself lol.

$95,290.09 US (for a super kit platinum pathfinder with a weak hand built GTR motor ), the regular VK56 engine can push out 500hp easy so why waste a hand built GTR engine on a measly 450hp (what a waste) .................

Engine power is Different but instead of paying 428,000 for a Nismo it’s better to get a platinum for a less price but yesterday the new Land Cruiser 300 series has launched which has more power than a platinum patrol and more torque as well . But it has less power than Nismo but more Torque than Nismo. LC300 has 415 Hp 650 NM
