I bought a 2019 Allure model with 9000ks for $36,000 …. I absolutely love it ! so comfortable such a great car to drive, may not have all the bells and whistles but it is such a comfortable car and such a great looker ! First European car I’ve ever owned ….I’m a very happy lad
The reviewer never realised that starting the car only requires the user to press the start button slightly longer with a slight touch of the brake. Kicking the brakes hard as he suggests is just wrong.
Sorry to be off topic but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot my login password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
@Ace Skylar i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
We have many more versions of this in the UK Allure is not the base model here. I am getting my black 1.5l diesel manual GT shipped from France in about 2 weeks time can’t wait. I’ve been watching many videos on the car hence why you’re in my recommended 😁 Nice review 👍🏼
Super vid. Thanks. Just acquired a 3008 Allure. Would it be possible to do a vid with an in depth review/explanation (for Dummies) of all features and their operation in particular. Couldn't find any. e.g. driving Safety features in action, how to set seat memory, etc
I am in UK awaiting a GT 1.5 auto diesel In February 2023 in celebes blue. Cannot wait to receive mine. This car is just stunning no matter what colour is on show here. I know the specs are slightly different here with Design being the base model, Allure and Allure premium mid range and them GT followed by GT premium which is the top spec. Also the diesel model only has one engine size option. Hoping to get better fuel economy than I do now by the start stop function unlike my present car also manual diesel which doesn’t have it. A great fair review on this cars pros and cons
Just picked up a 2021 GT model in the Uk for £28,000…its a beauty..ex demo…5000 on the clock and black pack…its a stunning looking car and beautiful to drive.
@@danielceban2544no nothing, it drives like dream, now has 13000 miles on the clock tho i do get it serviced yearly by a reputable garage. The one thing i didn’t know was that it has a wet belt, the timing belt flows through oil continuously and Ford eco engines have failed with this system. I have heard some older Peugeot 3008 failing too but Peugeot seem to think newer models are more robust..fingers crossed. The car overall is a beautiful car to look at and beautiful to drive..i would recommend it to anyone 👍
@@danielceban2544 no issues, reliable and still a great drive, looks great as well. Comfortable and economical. I get it serviced regularly and look after it. It has only 13,000 on the clock as i cycle to work so it doesn’t get used as much as others might use theirs. One thing to be aware of that i wasn’t is that it has a wet timing belt which means it is immersed in oil to keep it supple. Ford eco engines have used the same system and had multiple engine failures where the belt sheds bits which in turn block the oil inlet meaning the engine gets starved of oil and fails. Peugeot have had issues with this but the later models are meant to be more reliable with this regard. That apart, great car, service regularly and you should be good to go 👍
I have the pre-facelift Allure model and it was about $7000 cheaper than the new Allure for not much difference. Plus I got 5 years free servicing. Glad I didn’t wait for this one!
@@prathikshshetty9458 listen ny friend owns a 2017 prefacelift 3008gt line. With the 1.2 petrol. Its very reliable it has 95k mile on it and has no single problem. And my cousin drives the new 3008 hybrid 4x4 beautiful, luxurious, fast and i think it will ne reliable as well
The I-cockpit is quite nice it’s not as bad as everybody makes out to be. The hybrid version has only around 45 km range but with no automatic open latch on the charging lid so therefore I think that will wear out pretty quickly.
Purchased last year's Allure model, heavily discounted, great trade in and 3 year's free servicing. Spot on with a range of comments Matt. Interior chrome is too reflective, we have black tape on some bits. Gear shift takes a while to be comfortable with, reversing camera no match against say a Mazda as you have to select 180 degree. No rear traffic alert. Hill hold depends on gradient. Should have LED headlights as standard. But... terrific to drive, very comfortable, good power and highly recommended despite my little complaints.
@@inconnector this was August 2020 supposedly discounted from around $48k to $39990 drive away. I think a few months earlier you could get one for around $45-46k. So still a pretty good discount. Nearly two years with it now and not a single complaint. They're a bit expensive now though.
It's criminal how the Rav4 sells more. Peugeot needs to improve their after sales service. The Rav4 is not a great car when compared to the 3008 and Tiguan. The Peugeot feels more solid and is way more refined.
I've had a Peugeot 208 for 6 years and it hasn't skipped a beat, absolutely perfect. Have had a Peugeot 3008 for 12 months now and again, not a single issue. Fantastic cars.
It's not 'updated', nor is it 'facelifted'. It's a completely new car! About the only thing it's inherited from the original is the name. Even the engines have been re-engineered.
Someone didn’t eat their Weet-bix today 🤣 I see Peugeot is employing the “Start it like you mean it” philosophy. Otherwise, nice car, gorgeous looks but very niche.
I think that car looks great but as you say is over-priced. Really like the look of the seats- perhaps an allure with the seat option is the best value one? Or does the GT come with the leather seat as standard or is that only with the GT Sport?
Hi great review this. Got a question regarding the lane keeping assist : Has anyone ever tested how the system functions when there are road repairs and new (yellow) lines are imposed on the existing white ones? Does the LKA get disoriented to the point of being useless?
Does that leather pack option come with a light colour leather choice? I hate black black everywhere. Also does the top model GT Sport which comes with the black pack have that as an option, surely you don’t HAVE to take the black pack? I really can’t stand all this obsession with black. Black roofs, black mirrors etc. I like body coloured mirror and roofs. I also don’t think those are high servicing costs. Perhaps I’m out of touch. My last service was $775. And I had a couple on a previous Honda that was $1044.
I think Peugeot had improved leaps and bounds nowadays The design looks better than any Japanese SUV . As for RAV 4 or corolla cross , it looks great first time but quickly get sick of it on second look CX 5 and Tiguan design looks ugly at certain angles not really that fantastic too
The worst car I've owned, firstly came with no electric heated seats on gt premium, dealer not interested Anthony motors Aber. glitchy engine 225 hybrid. poor build creaky seats and door trims. Very twitchy at speed now starting with electrical problems, looks good but a terrible car to drive and poor dealer service.
I’ve been looking forward to the new 3008 as I’m in the market for a new SUV. I have to say I’m hugely disappointed! Sure it looks nice but for a car that’s pitching above the top spec CX-5, RAV4 and the like it falls flat on its face in so many areas. No 4WD, that crappy 6 speed in the lower models. The stupid half job 360 camera and average infotainment. Heated seats is old hat, cooled seats are where it’s at now, especially in OZ. Oh a manual operated passenger seat in the top spec 😂 I mean the old 2002 Stato I used to own had dual electric for goodness sake. NEXT !!!!!!
@@kbling2946 Sure. It's clear to me that you weren't really looking at the 3008 to buy as you've over exaggerated your so called extreme disappointment. Given that you mentioned it earlier in a negative way and tried to oppose somebody's positive comment suggests you probably haven't actually driven one either. To be interested in a particular new car but then slam it later is a sign of bs.
@@gregrobins5615 you make me laugh 😂 I actually really like the 3008, it’s the reason why I test drove both the diesel and petrol variants, several times. The fit and finish inside is very nice BUT my comments stand as they are factual. If you think the 360 camera or the 6 speed is good, lack of AWD prior to the hybrid, and infotainment, argue the case, I highly doubt you can if you have actually driven/seen one. Even the reviews done mention the same things as I have. Sorry to Burst your French bubble.
Watched this review after having one as a hire car from Avis. For the prices being charged, the car doesn't deserve to sell. Massively overpriced. It's redeeming feature is it's better than a Mazda ... The driving position is horrid. Drive any specific length of time, and your left leg being squashed against the console becomes very very uncomfortable. The shifter is plainly stupid...it's been designed by a student in their 4th year of an automotive design degree who's never sat behind the wheel of a car, ever. The handling is also way too floaty. You just cannot be sure where the front wheels are pointing when going round a corner. And to plug your phone into the front USB socket, you need really really long arms! The socket is hidden away under the console. And there is only one USB in the front. My boss and I both needed to charge our phones on a drive, and we could not do that! And the cruise controls are hidden badly behind the steering wheel, you have to feel your way to find the controls. The designer tried to be clever on this car. And failed. It's well built, but too many things annoyed me about this car
@@adamme8369 seriously the old Citroen cars that had electric, weather seals and the suspension faults just to name a few, they have stepped up there game a bit but if you want a recycled car parts you might as well go for a Dacia. I don’t drive any of them cars you have mentioned I like something that’s a bit different and unique 😁
@@stefcep 😂😂😂😂.Mazda makes some really ugly cars with Boring interiors.Take a look at this one this is one of the best looking SUVs now and the best in the class. It has won over than 80 international rewards and was voted as the best medium SUV for 2020 whereas Mazdas didn't cause they are ugly
OMG... Believe me, If you buy Peogeot, the hell gate will open. Peugeot is not mechanically stable. The worst thing is in their customer relations attitude as well. Especially the Peugeot Australia is very very highly ignoring and irresponsible after sales. I am 100% sure being anti-Peugeot.
Bro do you even know anything about cars?Okay citreon and Renault are ugly and cheap. But peugeot and da are amazing brands they make beautiful cars with one of the best interiors on the market.Their quality are amazing and are pretty reliable ,many of my friends own Peugeot or Ds they don't have any single problem (90kmiles and 110k) each one
" Peugeot is not mechanically stable" ??? really? that why PSA have the highest time belt interval change? because they are unstable? lol , try and find another car manufacturer with higher engine time belt kit interval, we talk when you do. Petrol: first at 112000 miles Diesels: first at 180000 miles Full electric: :)
