Reviewer needs to do more research about cars or the brand of the cars. Probably avoid adding person opinion to things that are quite factual. Car guide is supposed to be expert in the field, not just on spot comments. I was surprised you don't even know as much as what i have researched myself about the car and BYD itself. By the way, I'm only an ordinary driver, user, has no ideas about cars. But i think i managed to get to know BYD and Sea lion 6 better than you. Please, seriously get to know a bit nore history of brand before commenting or the reputation of Car guide can be questionable.
The transversal FWD approach to 1 series has put me off to upgrade my F20. Seems like I will need to go for a G2x or a 2 series coupe to keep the RWD BMW heritage....
At 16:00 he pretends to turn auto steer on. He says he is going to keep his hands on the wheel but the scroll wheel clicking is a loud enough sound we should’ve heard it. Plus there is a chime that plays when you engage it and even on Joe mode it’s loud enough to hear. And look at the screen the 2 gray lines next to the car should be bright blue when auto steer is active. Bro didn’t even use the feature while talking about it and acting like he used it. And this somehow isn’t even the worst part of the video. Just something I haven’t seen anyone else point out yet.
Hiya, I work at BMW and have just finished training course on the new 1 series. I asked this question too and they said they wont be creating a BHEV or PHEV 1 series ever apparently!
In Ecuador, the DMax is assembled in the country and comes with a 2.5 diesel motor (with turbo). Despite being an Isuzu, in Ecuador the DMax is sold as a Chevrolet (something seems wrong about that!). The Mazda is assembled in Thailand and comes with a 3.0 diesel motor (no turbo). The speed advantage of the 3.0 is palpable. I've driven the Chevy DMax for over 200,000 kms and the Mazda BT-50 for about 100K -- both rough farm work and occasional four-wheeling about the Andes. The Ecuadorian DMax chassis needs to be adjusted every year and the doors and bed gate rattle. According to my experience, the difference in quality is substantial and well worth the premium price (about 20%) for a BT-50.
fine car for getting from A to B. If I want fun driving, I take my Kawasaki Versys1000 motorbike. And with € 2,10 per liter petrol, electric driving is getting more attractive.
Should clarify that BYD makes ICE vehicles, not just EVs. If talking about just the Aussie market then it’s a correct statement, rather was. The Shark will be a DM-i as well, so a hybrid.
10:57 someone please show this guy how to use Track Mode. Clearly you missed that MASSIVE feature of this car. You can dial the control in to your liking, even power distribution and stability/traction control.
5:36 no, IT didn't decide. Someone on your team TOLD it to go ahead and install the update. It never just does it on its own. And it spells out exactly what will happen if you decide to tell it to install (how long it'll take, that your car will be unusable, etc). USER ERROR
I laughed when he couldn’t open rear doors side way. Typical Chinese over produced products, lots to offer on paper with lots of glitches too. And real life fuel consumption is just too bad, making the hybrid system pretty much pointless.
