I have a 2019 850 sp and love it. Mine also came with a arms as well. I also own a 2019 450 and just picked up a 2021 570 premium in the radar blue last week. Enjoy your ride man. The 850 rumble is insane.
Sick man! Yah I know the 2019’s had A arms and they got rid of it in the 2020 and 2021 models for some reason. They Deff sound good! How would you compare the 3 with eachother? 450 vs 570 and 570 vs 850?
I have one on order that should be in any day now. Adding heated grips and thumb, rear bumper, fender flares, the little storage container that goes in the cup holder, back rack storage box before I pick it up. Cant wait! We have a 2019 850 Touring and a 1000 High Lifter, the 850 is without question the cadillac of quads...
@Atif Hussain no it definitely isn't much difference, you get an extra brake and throttle by wire. Power is comparable especially with Polaris clutch system. I'd stay away from high lifter for reliability reasons.
I drive a bunch of fast cars so I really wanted the 1000s as well, but figured the cost difference wasn’t worth it plus the color scheme on this was just too nice
@@Justcuz99 yep, I woulda went with the 1000s just for the extra everything else but for the regular 1000 version I’m happier with the ultimate trail :)
Nice bike. I just ordered mine 2 weeks ago today and can't wait for it to come in. Does the Bluetooth feature offer any diagnostics for the bike or will the display show the map from the ride command app?
Great video! Another thing to note is the arched A-arms only come on this model. The other 850 models come with the standard A-arms. Quick question, can you turn the halo lights off or are they always on?
More of this quad please! Would love to see close up of the quality of the storage hood as i know the 570 is flimsy. Also can you show the 4x4 selector switch. I've ordered this quad too! Looking forward to picking it up!
Do they? I didn’t know that. I would agree with you then, woulda thought they added it to their “ultimate” package haha. Gonna have to look into getting one now as I do run over a lot of bushes
@@jlbeaver09 carb or EFI? I had a Carb’d 700 as well and loved it. The EPS is definitely a nice luxury haha although I think I would have been okay without it too. I got so used to without. Can’t wait for it to stop snowing and for it to break in so I can feel it’s full potential
It was a camo efi model. Had factory hard an thumb warmers lol. Only problem I had with it was the 700 an 800s sounded like a swarm of of bees coming down the road when u put an exhaust on it lol
@@knightimusprime25 man, I’ve literally taken this thing off jumps, I’ve taken it in some deepish water, bunch of wheelies, running over some pretty big trees, and I ride it hard. Only problem I have had so far is the sway bar (which I address in another video) and a brake line clamp screw that broke (which I zip tied back on with no issues). It’s exceeded my expectations haha. In a few weeks, I will have a 6 month video on this thing with more crazy footage. Stay tuned!
I just picked up my 2021 850 Ultimate Trail a few weeks ago. Question for you... I feel no difference descending in 'hill descent 4x4' and just '4x4'. It holds the machine back significantly but I would expect to really notice the difference when going from 4x4 to hill descent... Is yours this way? Anyone else?
TBH I never liked hill descent and only used it like once to try it haha. I know engine braking is always there and I think the hill descent just makes it more apparent as it tries to maintain speed downhill. I’ll mess with it more tomorrow and let you know what I feel
I run my quad in the mountains on some sketchy rock with some nasty descents, I find it’s much more aggressive on super steep hills with loose material
Those turf tires suck from the factory.....they are good for tooling around the yard but that's about it. I found out they are horrible in the sand, mud and any kind of snow. If you do any kind of long term riding you'll figure it out too.
Yah it wasn’t the best in the snow lol it was slipping a lot but then again we had a lot of ice here in Chicago. I’m hoping these will be better than the ones the regular 850’s come with Atleast. I know I gotta stick with them for a season or 2 so I just hope haha
I realize this sis dumb question. How does the seat come off?? I’ve yanked in that lever rear of seat like any other Atv and I can’t get it off.. I don’t want to bend the spring. What am I missing
Not a dumb question whatsoever. They did it for me once at the dealership. I too yanked on that thing and since haven’t been able to take mine off either lol! I am going to figure it out today. Kind of a dumb design unless I’m missing something
I figured it out. You do just have to yank hard. Once it’s off, you can look and see how it hooks in. The hook that holds it in place is just super tight because it’s new.
Only things about this atv that I like is that pod/electronics. The fact they incorporate aux switch cutouts is cool. I also like that they incorporate the charger plug in the pod and I love that it's got LED's all around. It's still a very poorly thought-out atv. The belt location on the Polaris is the most unintelligent design I've seen. Who wants to pull a wheel off to change a belt after you've been mudding all day.... or worse yet, going through skeg? Good luck keeping that belt, the clutches and the belt housing clean. The 2nd most idiotic design.... those storage areas. Most people (including myself) will haul fuel or some kind of cargo box on the front or back (or maybe even front and back... like myself). With this design, you need to remove everything in order to access those storage areas..... poor design. Also, although it's cool to have your high beams mounted in a handlebar pod because the light will turn with the bars... if you add a storage box to the front of the atv, or if you have a rifle rack or shovel etc mounted up front.... that high beam pod light is going to be useless. Polaris needs to pull their heads out of their asses and address these things. I can't believe they sell as many as they do. They've got the engine, suspension and tranny down.... now fix the bloody design. I own a 2017 Canam 1000R Outty XT-P and I love the power but I would trade it in on a Yamaha twin putting out 80hp or more. The design and power on the Canam are great but the factory clutching, lighting and suspension is absolute shit. A guy shouldn't need to sink another $3,000 to $4,000 into these machines to make them decent. The day Yamaha builds this..... my Canam is gonzo's!
Polaris also sells so many ATV's so I am not surprised their quality went down a bit. Probably not as rugged as older ones but they're still great machines just gotta maintain them. Kind of remind me of a german car haha awesome to drive and cool functions but there is always something. Luckily they made it easy to add aftermarket accessories to fix issues like blocked high beams but like you said they cost $$
Coming from a grizzly 700 which offered hardly any storage and simply horrible setup the Polaris is light years ahead in my opinion. Imagine thinking the shifter on the left side, was a good idea when you need to apply the left side brake to shift?
None lol unless your dealer is desperate. It was a limited release and people are already having trouble finding them. I got the Heroes discount that’s about it, which took a grand off the price!
You should’ve won 1000 you love is better take it for me I have one once it breaks in it’s unbelievable power that’s running can go right up in the air
I was thinking 1000, but I decided to go with the 850 since the 1000 doesn’t offer the ultimate trail edition. It was only ~100cc less and a few HP less but the color, lights, and features were worth it for me
I just bought this exact bike 6 hours ago. I kinda hate it. Your videos were a bit part of me buying and no canams in stock for a few weeks. My sway bar has slid, no skid plates, horrible air box, horrible cvt vent location (only halfway up bike). You can't feel the trail or traction AT ALL. Clutch engagement is soooooo slow, like a full second to get the power you asked for. My Honda rancher is way more fun to drive but at least the Polaris is fast in a straight line.... If you are at all an aggressive or technical driver do NOT buy a sportsman. They badly need to hire some more engineers or someone that actually gives a crap. Trust me I want to like my new $16k bike, but damn it has some huge shortcomings. DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE IF YOU ARE AN AGGRESSIVE RIDER.
The clutch was horrible for me too in the beginning. I felt the same way but once the clutch broke in the bike is much better! I waited a while and did a lot of driving to break in the clutch before going all out. Am thinking of snorkeling it to fix the intake problem lol
@@tunerworld glad to hear about clutch getting better after break in, I wound up flooding the bike that same day doing a ditch crossing I do in my stock rancher all the time, so already did my first oil change haha, didn't get much in crankcase at all but belt started slipping and couldn't get up incline while exhaust was under. Think i'ma trade it in for an outlander xtp or xxc once 2022 models are out. I'll say I am starting to like the Polaris a bit more but still falling a bit short of my expectations, which were already tempered I mostly got it bc it was the only thing I would consider buying in stock stock for next couple months and no dealers in my area are doing ordering its first come first serve. What do you think about Polaris 4wd? I'm not sure why it gets praise if I'm in 4wd I want to be in 4wd otherwise I'll leave in 2wd. Seems to be quite a bit more unpredictable when I'm driving hard down trails, back starts to kick out before front tires engage and then it's a bit too late to fully correct vs all 4 tires pulling the entire time keeping you more connected and the front helping keep rear straight. Also seems very stressful to drive train to constantly go in and out of 4wd Honda needs to make something with 60 hp on their platform 😍 Maybe we will see a variant of talon engine
@@SubLimation7 oh damn haha. I wonder if it’s a sealing issue with the clutch. I mean technically they say you can’t go over the little foot rests with water without any water leaking. You may have to seal that box up extra to make it waterproof for the clutch! I’m sure you could always sell it too I know so many people are lookin for them haha probably could easily get what you put into it
@@SubLimation7 TBH I rarely use the AWD unless I’m stuck. I guess I’m not too aggresive of a driver especially with the new machine 😂. I liked the 4wd on my old scrambler, that thing never got stock anywhere. I also heard you should only engage the 4wd when at a complete stop or making sure all the wheels are turning the same speed before doing so
