@@User.Joshua i feel as if the biggest issue with the taycan is the amount of electric chargers available and the amount of time it takes to charge given that the taycan doesn't have that great of a range. Hopefully is 5 years the taycan gets a better battery and charging infrastructure improves both in efficiency and quatity
We were literally sitting down with our salesman ordering a 2021 Turbo S. He says to us please consider a 4S. Keep in mind this car is a semi daily for my wife. So he tells us we have a loaded 4S convertible in clay coming on the ship now. My wife looked at it and loved it. When it was delivered to our home I took it out for a spin and instantly began laughing when I put it in sport mode. I jumped on it and damn! This car is a rocket that does everything very well. Believe me I have and have had some powerful cars but they never did everything well like this Porsche does. Example: My neighbor has a bad as Z06 with tons of power. I let him drive the 4S and he was amazed! He is now buying on. He believes because of the power and grip this car would smoke his. I do too.
@@motorcopT2 w my girlfriend for 3 years. Her dream car is a Bentley. if we were married/had kids and a boatload of money I guess I might do it. On the other hand, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a woman in a 911. Turbo s is just an odd choice unless she’s an enthusiast that would realize the lap time differences. It’s also a much worse daily driver than a 4S (stiffer suspension, lower clearance, carbon ceramics, louder exhaust)
I’d love to say the Turbo S but in the real world, it’ll probably be the Carrera 4S. It’s that perfect balance between playful extreme and it’s not too ostentatious. It’s why I bought the S7 and not the RS7. 560+hp is just gonna get me in trouble.
Actually directly from Porsche website PDK with sport chrono is 3.2 0-60 and Porsche is usually conservative. It’s an absolute AMAZING car and if I can find a build slot open I plan on ordering one. Great review by the way. Top track speed 190 mph 0 - 60 mph (PDK (Automatic)) 3.4 s 0 - 60 mph with Sport Chrono Package (Manual) 4.0 s 0 - 60 mph with Sport Chrono Package (PDK (Automatic)) 3.2 s
You’d better lash up with a dealer and develop a relationship…..see what allocations they’re willing to get you and get on the list. In the mean time, you have a Porsche Configurator to build your car…..and trust me, you will spend more time fine-tuning the car than with your family. I must have done 35 or 40 builds before I had what I thought would work. ( and it did !!! ) Ask advise…..and pay attention to detail. Try…..TRY…..not to get carried away. You can get into thin air VERY quickly. And sometimes it will be the little things that make a real difference. I did colored seatbelts. I get more compliments on that one option than anything else ! Also the extended range fuel tank. (23 gal.) A couple of hundred well spent. ( not available with all - wheel drive. ) This is a fun time…..enjoy it. Time will crawl…..but, on the day they pull the cover off in the showroom, it will all be worth it !!! Now, get going !
Yes I agree. I think the 992.1 will be remembered as a golden era for 911s. The used market prices on them have dropping fast too lately, once it looks like it is kind of hit a bottom, it might be a good time to pick one up. I am guessing that will be around the time the 994 comes out.
The saddest part about the 911 becoming so advanced is the price. A loaded 4s might be as impressive as a turbo was 15-20 years ago, but it’s also just as expensive.
@@Chad_Max if you're not tracking it, agreed. the car is so damn light/well designed that more power just isn't practical. Having said that, the GT4 is probably the one to get if its not your daily driver
I just test drove one I've never understood why the high maintenance cost, especially with ceramic brakes, wow but you only live once and for the only vehicle that holds it value it special. I drove a cabrio in silver with a cranberry top it was quite the eye candy. I'm still trying to justify cost. 155 K with 20% down and 84 months to go. I'm worried my wife will say okay but your reduced to two meals a day and no hair-cuts for life. My, my the price to be the boss. I just turned 62 and I'm saying go out in style. I've sacrifices so much in life. But we will see. If conventional wisdom takes over and I come to my senses. 2/24/21
I have watched probably 3 dozen videos on the 992 and this one is by far the "Best" and most "Informative" one I have seen. Thank you very much for this. I will be heading to Porsche of London as soon as the weather breaks. You must be somewhat local as I am in KW. Definitely subscribing, keep up the great work. Oh, my jackets do the same....what is up with that lol.
Those of us who know enough know that a manual is far better for driving enjoyment regardless of how good the auto is. Fact is im not timing myself to the mall, or to work, would i track the car? No. Then why the hell would i care im shaving off several 10ths of a second? I dont id buy a 7mt but finding out all the build slots are gone for the year trying many many dealers across 5 states. Ugh.
My Dream car, perfect color silver exterior, I think I’d go with the chocolate brown interior, forget Lamborghini, Ferrari and McClaren this is the car for me.
Another great video Mike, you are up there with Henry Catchpole, Harry Metcalf, Chris Harris, the best of the best ............and from Canada...........eh ! Hi from BC.........
Don't all cars to into "manual mode" once the battery dies? As far as getting into the car? Even 2006 GM cars. The "locking TECH" is dependant on the battery. NO power no electronics. :) Being that most key-less entry cars FOB's have a range of I'd think 10 ft to maybe 15? Can you lost yourself out of your vhhicle? ...I suppose if the FOB's batter happens to die qt that time. :))
The uk cars don’t have orange indicator lenses, they are clear, so don’t think your 911 is from Porsche London, great video though. 4s next year hopefully 🤞
I went to the dealership today and drove a 2021 C4S in GTSilver - almost identical to this one including full leather interior in burgundy. It was the first Porsche I’d ever driven. I think I will be ordering a C2S in Guards Red and I want the Aero Package because it kind of reminds me of the whale tails on 911 when I was a kid. I really like the size of the 911 - I drive a truck now and I’ll be so happy to get in to a smaller vehicle. Beautiful car.
I'm getting a super car in a month, or within the next quarter of the year(Latest, end of the year, obviously). I've been debating between an 2024 Aston Martin db 12 or a 2024 911 4. 379 hp is crazy(Porsche), and 670+ is even more nuts(Aston), almost obscene. Considering the Porsche has all wheel drive with the base Carrera in hp, and 379 is the max in my options available in my choices. also being and high as I can go with my conscience being considered, thats fine by me. I won't be driving it like a stupid 18 year old. I'm pretty sure I'm grabbing the 911, thanks for the clip! Drive more Porsches!! It's something I've wanted since I was 6, and now it will be in my drive. Aaaaaah America, what a sweet nation we reside in! Thanks brother, Jamie😁
@ 14:06 = Avg cons. 22.0 l/100 km -shame on you Porsche - Every 4545 mt = 1lt fuel a 1.89 euro Shell V-power E5 or 98 octane fuel 100 lt 454 km - I can daily cruise in a S400 D Mercedes 8 lt/100km diesel - About 1000 km range Torque 700 nm HP 340 top speed 270 km - I would get crazy if I had to tank my car every 7 days - driving it daily or once a month driving it daily - after a while ...doesnt matter how much you earn...you will start to get anoid of all this. This can be your daily car why not - nice to have for the weekends why not - nice car ...yes the best but same like the Bugatti anoying - too many tire works - too many maintenance - too much cosumption ...why do i have time for some fun!!!
Cool vlog Mike!! If I were you I would trade in your R8 and 911 Turbo for that car it really looks like a nice ride over the other two you have also you keep saying that it is lacking of storage you realize that your not buying a Porsche for storage your buying it for the performance it has. And for having more room in the back seats to have other people seat back there again you are buying a performance car not a family car so it make sense to have just you and another person with you. Again I would get rid of the two cars and get this Porsche really nice ride!! Have a good one Mike!!!!
You compare a 2016 to a 2021 and are shocked at the difference?? Lol The Audi S8 goes to 0 to 60 in 3. Something secs. So I can only imagine what the 2021 R8 or TT does. Love the Porsche tho
Your videos are NXT level- this channel deserves to be in the top 10 of YT Car enthusiast list. The production level and cinematography is just amazing!
not sure why the fella has involuntary rooster sounds coming outta him. An example: 5:28. This car no doubt has a strong performance legacy and remarkable aesthetics.
The script should've been; I agree.... Theirs more to life than a car. Yet, this machine for a moment helps me get away without losing grip. Yet, it brings me right back quickly from where I started. Until then....2:29
No Complaints!! How could you when driving that sexy beauty of a machine! Honestly, I just subscribed, you made great video and honoured this car the way it should be! Thank you. I've seen many videos of 4s, yours is the best in the details and driving experience! CDN Kudos.
Sad to say I rarely comment but this video was great. The information you gave was stuff that I wanted to know and your genuine love of the Porsche made me smile. Well done, keep up the great videos
You can switch them out for $140 and five minutes of your time by buying the clear ones from a Porsche parts website. They unclip easily. And yes, the clear ones look much better!
This car is absolute perfect match for my personality Compact, beautiful most importantly it appears less intimidating than other fleshy cars like Ferrari yet it will rise up to the occasion when it needed to
@@scottsanders2641 Congrats man! I wish I could say the same but unfortunately 'the dream' has been put on hold for me.. I've been relegated to living vicariously through review channels for the foreseeable future...
It's tiring watching him trot about all the time because it takes your attention away from the car when you have to flick between him and the car and then he throws his hands around as well.
Traction control can give you less reliable results. The system might fight you or cut power a bit if it's slightly slippery out. Whereas when it's off, it's the same each time.
Amazing introduction song and video!!! Great review and comments!! 👍🏻I loved it!!❤️ I have could feel how excited you were in the car!!😎Also, who would not be?🤔ps: Why just 18 min? Tks. A.
After 55 years and there's still people calling it PORSCH-A haha, nevermind nice video was just an observation..If you want to spell it correctly just say PORSCH -EH for english speakers! ;-) BTW you said it perfectly: Doppelkupplung !!!
The best porsche is the base car - which has everything the S has but you save $18,000. --and it is more fun to drive as well. Trust me 389 hp is more power than any rational person needs on the roads. My NSX from the 90’s had 299 hp and it was too fast. Buying the S puts $18,000 into Porsche’s pocket and they only install slightly larger turbo blades and change the tuning. Also the all Bordeaux interior is even better…..
Daily Driving a $2000/month sports car? Like wtf elite group of people even ask that question? Even of the rich people they wouldn’t daily a 911, they’d have something more plush to drive daily if they even drive themselves
but these are easily the most capable daily drivers of all the exotic cars available, plus they beat driving a boring ass Lexus sedan to work or to run errands....
My 911s 991 is driven on weekends. I would hate to drive it daily. Getting in and out and the noise level is high and just not a daily driver. Daily I use an S4 with 475hp.
