The driver car connection,top speeds,agility and track handling,all in all this Porsche will give a driving experience not even the best of those battery packed heavy ass cars could.

Overrated crap. The Taycan is the better car for the price. Heck even the new Model S Plaid. The new ICE Shit doesnt even sound good anymore lol.

@@overhansable To be fair, traffic light racing is all modern fast EV's are any good at, which only interests idiots who can't actually drive properly. Also, it doesn't take much in the way of mods to make modern ICE cars sound good again.

Turbo S is always regarded as a supercar at least here in UK. Then you have track focused GT cars GT2, GT3, GT4 etc.

Its not only for the straight line performance, its handles really well

the turbo s can beat just about anything on the track ... its AWD ffs

@@zeeem4810 the turbo s is a GT car the only difference is that you can get the options of comfort ... the new turbo s is the best track car ... the only car that can beat the turbo S is the GT2 RS MR and its a super rare car that u cant just buy any time and even it is only a few seconds faster on nürburgring ... take the extra weight out of the new turbo S and its the fastest porsche on the market and its 500K € cheaper than a GT2 also it depends on the what drivers like ... some drive the GT3 for the sound not the performance and vise versa ... but you just cant deny that AWD turbo S just beats everything in every situation not only is it fast its also the newest toy so obviously it will be the best

Well its not if you compare it to the cars it beats and also the quality, craftsmanship as well as the luxury you’re getting. You can launch this car 50 times in a row and the timing will still be within 0.1s. Other cars can’t launch three times in a row without an engine light coming on

@@ode1854 Hi, Otto. By "not nice" I mean that the 0 to 60 mph time is so violent that it was physically painful for me. It was fun but not something that I wanted to do more than a couple of times. It doesn't accelerate like a normal car because of the instant torque. The friend I was driving with had a 911 turbo s before the Taycan. It had incredible acceleration but it felt like being forcefully showed. The Taycan feels like someone literally kicks you in the back. We were on the highway and I was telling my friend somethin - for fun he slammed on the accelerator and I went from talking to saying "uuurg" like if someone had hit me in the back. It's a crazy car for sure. I totally recommend trying one if you haven't. It's a truly great car - even in the lower power versions.

They have soft limiters. If you remove them you will have a louder sounding vehicle

We only measure 1/4 mile and 0-200km/h in the top end - not top speed. In this case the car only needed 8.5sec to hit 200, so that's when we backed off. It doesn't really relate to the distance required. Hope that makes sense.

Yep, it certainly has potential. This was the best we saw with this particular car on the day. Temp was about 25C, Australian-spec car, not on a drag strip, and with no rollout time deducted. Also 0-100km/h, not 0-60mph.

There are many variables, Air pressure in tyres, Fuel type, Air Temperature, Humidity, Altitude, Weight of the driver, surface type and is the road flat. You can have a car in a hot day, crap fuel, low tyre pressure, wet loose gravel surface and a fat ass driver all of which will result in a crap 0-100 time.

The reason we (purposely) didn't say it in the opening voiceover is because we are referring to the 'Turbo' nameplate in general, saying, "It's a nameplate that has been regarded by many as the best all-round sports car for decades." The Turbo S nameplate hasn't been around since the beginning; the 930 was not available in Turbo S form. We introduce the 'Turbo S' at 0:47. Hope that makes sense.

Good question. During our tests we saw 2.9 without the sport response button, so we're assuming it does something during launch control as well.

c&d did 220km trap speed and less than 10s. other than a bit slower example whats wrong about it

Figures are directly from a Racelogic Vbox Sport. Maybe you're referring to drag strip conditions?

@@PDriveTV no I am not and unless there was a sudden power loss the only other possible scenario is a glitch with the VBox. The incontrovertible fact is that it does not take 1.9 sec to get from 200 to 210 km/h and I can show you a number of videos which proves that. Believe what you want but I know it's incorrect.

@@PDriveTV Let me give you examples from your own site. Huracan Evo 200-207km/h in 0.84sec. McLaren 720S 200-231 km/h in 2.57sec Huracan AWD 200-212 km/h in 1.18 sec. Are you starting to get the picture? :)

@@almillin3207 Fair enough. We're simply reporting what the Vbox shows. It's worth mentioning the best 0-200km/h time could have been a different run to the best 1/4 mile time. As usual, we run a bunch of tests with the Vbox with each car, trying out different modes and take-off methods. And then the figures at the end are the best results overall. In other words, sometimes the best 0-60km/h time could be from a different run to the best 0-100km/h time, if that makes sense. The video is then purely a video demonstration - not a timed run (although we try to show the maximum performance).

@@PDriveTV Point taken, however regardless the Porsche Turbo S is rather consistent so the deviation is going to be minimal therefore that's pretty much a moot point. The figures i drew your attention to are credible whereas in this vid they are not. Anyway it's your decision but if it was my site i wouldn't put myself in the position where the figures were challenged. Excellence not mediocrity is my standard...

In Australian conditions? There's not much you can do as a driver in this. It's all done by the launch control.
