I have a 958.2 Cayenne S E-Hybrid. It is also plug in hybrid btw. Mine uses Audis venerable 3.0T supercharged V6, which means for $2k I was able to increase its power output to almost 600 hp and 650 ft/lbs combined. During my ownership thus far we have average about 32-33 mpg, which means I get roughly the performance of the Turbo with the economy of the diesel. I love this car, it is excellent, and I highly recommend that anyone shopping for a used two row full size SUVs in the $30-50k price range consider the SEH. That said I don't think the e-hybrid makes sense to buy new. Mine is a '15 that I bought this year in a very high spec (sticker was $93k) for $37k with 65k miles on it. At that price point it was a no brainer, it's going to cost me less to own than a '18 Honda pilot would have (it is equally reliable and will depreciate less from here and burn less fuel), but new the premium for the hybrid will never net a return in terms of fuel savings and the hybrids depreciate more than equivalent non hybrids. I do not like the new gen cayenne either. I don't think they look as good as mine inside or out and I much prefer my physical buttons to the capacitive ones in the new gen.
