2021 PYPA Piano Festival

@A Nguyen, the level of the students at this festival is very high. Many of its students have won major international competitions, performed with orchestras across the world, and are extremely accomplished performers from the top precollege programs in the US and around the world. Sarah Tuan, who won 1st prize in the PYPA 2018 Competition, has recently been accepted into the Chopin Competition in Warsaw this fall. She has also been a semifinalist at the 2017 Minnesota E-Competition, and has won first prize at the 2015 Virginia Waring. Sophia Liu, who won 2nd prize in 2018, is an extremely accomplished performer as well. Let's not forget Eric Lu, an alum of PYPA. He won Leeds Competition in 2018 and now has an international career. Very high level. Definitely not for beginning pianists, and many of its former students are on the verge or have established successful concert careers.
