Excellent review! I bought 2 the end of July and absolutely love them! Did not have the issue with loose parts/plastic tho. I think that's a dealer prep responsibility. Haven't had the chance to use IDF though.

great review! Re your comment on IDF sticks/stones etc - was at the beach here in NZ, as I was coming in on my GTR215 these young guys on a brand new Yamaha were trying to pull the sea biscuit rope out of the intake lol

you need to silicone spray the ski after every use and the finish stays very well preserved!

Yeah, I purchased my skill also at Lockhart Odyssey RXTX 300. Lindsey was my sales rep. If you have any issues, go straight to Brett, the owner of Lockhart Odyssey he used to race dirt bikes at gofer dunes. Put a catch can on it to catch all the blow by oil! A MUST NEED! Oil level should be at exact 💯 half way! Check after start and warm(oil)!

These machines are perfect for a fresh water indoor lake 😅

Great video !! Quick one.. do you think it's worth buying the knee pads to go on the jet ski since the GTX230 doesn't come with them ? I.e. so the knees are on soft cushioning versus hard plastic ? Or haven't you noticed anything bad with the plastic

Great vid and in-depth discussions. Question, I owned a 2007 3 seater gtx 155 when they came out. Sold in 2011 and missing them ever since. And time to consider another toy, but now that they have the 170 gtx and 230… which would you recommend in terms of worth. Is the cost worth the 230 if your just hopping out along the Great Lakes here in ontario? Or do you think the 170 does the job overall whilst being considerate to my wallet when cruising around the lakes? Just wondering what people are saying as I was clearly happy with my 155 speed. And know hitting the water at fast speeds aren’t fun. So curious what people are thinking. Thanks in advance to posts…is the 230 a gas guzzler? And do those faster motors die quicker? At the moment I’m leaning towards the 170…?

Nice honest review! Definitely subscribing right now! Quick question. on the hull. On the bottom portion of the hull, is the work Seadoo in orange a sticker or part of the hull? Seems silly but I like this ski and want to trade up my old 2012 to it... but I am not so partial to orange and would want to reduce as much as possible on the ski. Yamaha colors this season are just atrocious for my taste. Thanks for the reply!

We are purchasing 3 jet skis same time August 2022. We are leaning towards sea doo. Kawasaki has the 170- 4 cylinder, where as the others that size only 3 cylinders. Any info related to Sea Doo-Yamaha-Kawasaki comparisons would be helpful. And the trailer not sure if available for 3 Jet Skis. Or more trips with single trailer.

I have an older GTX, and basically the same Garmin, but with side scan too. I took it off my boat before I sold the boat. Now I have to find a way to mount everything on the ski without drilling holes everywhere..

The dealer here in Dubai they have only one fish pro 2021 new but I'm worried to buy it because of the IDF given the problems I'm reading about. Do you think it's better to buy fish pro 2021 new from the dealer or just I will order fish pro 2022 ?

If you were going to do it all over again would you buy a different brand or stay with seadoo?

If the IDF repair fixes the problem then that must mean that the factory is not installing them properly. If it was the part it would keep occurring.

Get the complaints particularly for money paid but it isn't going to look or stay in showroom floor condition after use cycles.
