Your slow mode cruise control is great when you are in the no wake zone. Set your higher speeds using cruise control. No longer to get that "stiff finger" to control the throttle when on long rides!
Oh no, we was out on ski last monday in Bay of Islands NZ and before taking off, I asked my wife, "are you ready", with a big grin she said, "I was born ready". 😅
Hey Deric! I got my GTX 230 about 3 weekends ago. Broke it in that Saturday and Sunday. I now have 15 hours on it and I love it. The slow mode is so useful, not only for wake zones but also docking, when I pull up for gas and when I moor it to my boat in the slip. Any touch on the throttle in those situations is a huge no-no and just using forward is too fast in my opinion. I like the old saying, slow is pro... I haven't used my speed limiter too much other than to practice using it in case I need it, typically I ride in Eco mode, which keeps me at around 35mph @ 5500rpm, where I get the best gas mileage. I bought mine mainly for touring our river here. I went on a 54 mile round trip on Saturday up to the islands, this thing is so comfortable and easy to ride that long trips aren't a problem. I'm going on a 140 mile round trip next Saturday, gonna strap an extra 5 gallons to the back just in case but I'll be filling up when I reach my destination for the return trip. This is just an FYI to new buyers, an oil change is not needed at 10 hours on the new skis, you can if you want but it's not necessary. The head mechanic told me that, said 100 hours or 1 year is the only time it needs changed, as mentioned in the manual. I'll be changing mine at the end of our season here. My season will be longer though because the wet suit I bought when I lived in Cali now fits again, I lost 40lbs over the last 8 months (back down to 185). Glad I kept that for the last 22 years... :) The water temp here on the Ohio river is 81 degrees right now!
You need to get the seadoo windscreen. Its a game changer. 90kmh just feels like 30kmh on the flat of course. Fitting the new screen is easy. Just lift the front panel and discard. Unlatch the sliding mech from the screen and expose the two holes to fit the two longer screws which secure screen to ski.Check whether your ski is compatible with screen. Also you will need a new jetski road cover.
I like the Yamaha CC better, you just go the speed you want, hit the cruise button and squeeze all the way on... it stays the same speed, same w/ slow, just hit the button and it goes 5mph.
Hey Deric, I have installed the Sea Doo X package module on my 2023 GTX limited 300. However, I have been unable to find anyplace that shows what you do to display the information that it can supply you with. Any help. Why doesn't Sea Doo publish a manual outlining the operation of the unit?
Hi Steve. There should be an extra mode that you click over to, to see what you need. Not 100% on this. Lets chat. Find me on Instagram. instagram.com/the_oceansideguy
