Idk probably like him and the company name ig Edit: I just noticed that it said solo operator, it doesn’t say solo owner. He is reviewing the setup the majority of the company has
You always "speak French" when referring to your company, no matter how large. It instills a larger than self persona, indicates that the operator is serious and that he's not just "Joe from down the block that does some things". It's pretty standard practice in most industries.
If you want to keep the front from hopping, you can probably stop it with a wratchet strap over the top front of the mower. The tires are held down but nothing in the front so this may do the job for you until you start tying down from your tie down hooks
I've got a similar setup and and the same truck.! I also do power washing, small interlocking jobs and mulch jobs. Life is good somedays I can hit 1000.00 and I also sell weed lol.
Ballparking, that's _at least_ 10 grand, so someone starting out if they don't have that kind of startupmoney ( the way most of us started ), you'd have to find pretty much everything used, or start smaller and work your way up.
@@kevinbrooks1104 who's paying or charging anything close to 20 grand for a '99?? You? 🤣 If that's how bad the market's gotten, I might need to sell my beater asap.
You will never find a ‘99 that is not rusted out where I live. If it is low miles and not rusted, being from a dry part of the country without road salt exposure, it is possible it could sell for that much. Not to mention, old school Toyota is so much simpler, although likely harder to get parts for. Given the following for old school American trucks, I wouldn’t be too surprised if a clean low mile Tundra or Tacoma could sell for $20,000.
I plan on using my older blazer this year, getting a trailer and getting into it.. I got certified in highschool for landscaping back in 2015.. time to put it to work
I have a Honda mower that is over 20 years old. I am the second owner, but I’ve beaten the absolute hell out of it. My secret to success is to just keep up with the maintenance, change the oil often, check the level every use, always new spark plug and filter. It’s getting to the point where I should replace it, but I will likely do a light overhaul of it and run it into the ground, it is a workhorse. You can go to any dealership that sells Honda and get parts for it. I haven’t tried an actual auto dealership, but any place that sells mowers, atvs or motorcycles could likely help you out. It is hard to believe I got mine for free, because it was abandoned in a shed and the new homeowner couldn’t get it started. I didn’t judge him on that, I just said “thank you!”.
Glad to see how simple your set up is. Nothing in this set up is financed which is amazing probably the 36 inch but that’s about it. “ keep the set up as cheap as possible and kill the game with a cheap functioning set up “ 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
You’re correct, the 36 was the only thing financed and the other equipment was purchased with funds throughout the season. My particular situation was unique as my business was considered a “side hustle” and I still received a salary from my full time job. I will touch more on this in later videos but there’s plenty of more to come as well as my ideology on the lawn care industry now and going forward. Stay tuned!
I don't know about the wright drives system but you should try parking your wright on there backwards and leave it in gear and parking brake and it shouldn't move.
Simple and great setup, your gonna save money with the yeti with the ice. I did the same thing too my yeti takes a beating all day long and still going. I was going thru igloos like crazy
God bless you and keep you safe Mr Hard Workingman! Please be very aware that thugs will pull up beside you, jump out a backdoor, into your truck bed, and dive back in and be gone in about 4 seconds. This HAS happened to my construction friend, lost a Stihl Concrete Saw $$$. He carries a handgun, has constant video on his two trucks which were parked face to face, and was in the truck with his crew eating lunch. It happened so fast that the thieves were gone before he even got out his truck. He called the cops, waited 4 hours, they never showed so he lost time $$$ with his whole crew and the saw and got zero justice. Please spend the money and buy/build you some locking bars or racks. You work too hard to be robbed, but the scum target blessed hard working souls like you!
I'm in Anadarko... you're in Altus, right? Gets hot there huh? lol.... Nice set up ! Have you talked with Stet lately? Tell him to get back at RU-vid please....! Great video, have a good season!
I'm baffled that you were able to kill an Echo. I commercially landscaped for 13 years with the same trimmer and still use it to cut my yard now 🤣. Recommended one to a guy years ago. He burned up the engine after 3 years. Got angry with my recommendation til I reminded him that it was a two stroke and he was using straight gas
Delivered a nice even cut, has the super tight turning ability ru-vid.comUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend I was looking for, and is just a blast to drive. It takes a little bit to get used to driving one after driving a normal tractor style, but once you've got it, you've got it. If you're cutting lines, you have to be careful spinning the mower around or the back tire will dig a bare spot. Just take it nice and slow during the turn and then it's back to full throttle across the yard!
Get a pool float - the longer noodle - cut it length wise in half, zip tie it to the front of your trailer so the mower doesn't come in contact with the trailer metal.
Any good mower with the parking break on should never move. I have never strapped my mowers down and they never move. I have a 42” toro zero turn and a 54” cub cadet stand on and neither get strapped down. No issues whatsoever.
@@cleancutslawncare ya first year in business I got screwed on my gas containers not being fastened properly. I bought a cargo trailer and haven’t looked back.
It’s up to you to decide on what’s best for you and your business. I started out by cutting a friend’s yard and they spread the word to a Facebook group then after a few times of getting new clients I decided to leave door hangers.
What base do you do lawns? I’m medically retired out of the Army. So can I go on post and try to get lawn jobs or do I need to go talk to housing or who?
love the setup. i totally get the feeling u likeoly get when u look at that stander. i learned on one and basically my dream business is to have one of these with a setup like yours. good job brother
I'm a solo guy...hustler ztr, 2 stihl fs series trimmers and a 40v leaf blower. The fs trimmers can knock down any area big enough to consider using a push mower in the same time, but with less effort. So any ditch or hill that the ztr can't do, gets done with the trimmers. I have a trimmers rack that holds the big trimmer line roll and a line cutter zip tied to it. Keeping things lean and efficient. I also don't travel far for yards...95% are within 3 miles of my house. Less travel time, less gas used.
@@hesher7945 this is epidemic on RU-vid, recipes, builds, gear, etc. Attention spans are extremely limited, so folks want to click on the description, cut and paste or screen shot a list, and move along. That is the era in which we now live 😁
Fiskars StaySharp Max Reel Mower ru-vid.comUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend This is what all push mowers should strive for. It was easy to push. It cut the lawn. The blades are sharp, very sharp. The one minus that everyone should be aware of is you need to be very careful taking the cutting unit out of the box. There’s a plastic guard so you don’t cut fingers as you take the main unit out of the box but it’s not taped down. As I took the unit out, I ended cutting a piece of my shirt. The plastic guard moved and my shirt touched one of the blades.
You’re STIHL equipment is basic homeowners models and are designed to be used once a week at your home. Just saying this because some people buy the cheapest homeowner STIHL equipment and then use it like commercial STIHL equipment and then get mad when it won’t handle being used 6 days a week.
amazon has cheap trailer straps that would be perfect for what you are trying to do. Ive seen a lot of other companies use them. Use a pool noodle to keep the mower from hitting that front part of the trailer frame.
