I wish I had the wire colors mentioned. I cannot see them clearly and don’t have a tester. Guess I need to go buy one.

Surely there's a simpler way to wire the power. Is the issue that there's no guaranteed constant power to the taillights?

excellent! edit: does this kit integrate with trailer brake controllers? I'm not sure how the brake controller mixes in with this...

No, this is a 4 flat installation. you will need the other functionalities of the 7 way socket and a brake controller hard wired into the vehicle.

Currently we do not have a confirmed wiring fitment for the 2022 Model S. When they switched to a lithium Ion 12V battery, we haven't been able to identify a suitable power source for the wiring kit. With the vehicle being equipped with LED taillights, they do not produce enough power to run the light harness module. We are still looking for a solution.
