How much space is there behind the third row? We have 2 young kids (1 toddler and another 6 years) and I am pretty sure they will fit in 3rd row but I doubt that I can fit 1 stroller and some bags when third row is up.
Out of all the videos i've binged watched, yours are always the best! I look forward to them every week! I am still impatiently waiting on my 7 seater! I am eager to see the plasti-dip video for Kevin's Gemini rims! I have seen others, but like I said, I really enjoy your videos!!
You're the best Thaisa! Thank you!!! We have a special bonus video (family vlog) dropping Thursday this week too! The plasti-dip video will likely be a summer project. Lol.
Great Video... i think im going to get a Y 7 seater in white with White interior next March.... really waiting to see how this Cyber truck actually looks on the road cause i love having a pick up truck...
@@LockettTech This is about my only remaining question. I test packed a friend's MY7 seater and that jumped out at me. Also above the wheel hump the Y goes nearly straight up. I was comparing to my current CRV, which widens up quite a bit giving more space in width. MY had a longer floor, though. I've got my pics from my friend's car, now planning on test driving a 5 seater and doing the same packing and pics. Also want to check out my dog's cushion. He's big, but fits in back with some luggage. The Y seems a little narrow. Can't believe I'm so over thinking the 5 vs 7... We have 2 kids, so just adding grandma and grandpa we need 6 seats and having grandparents drive separately seems dumb if we can stop that need. Now... I'm still torn about the white interior. I despise wood grain, so the black interior turns me off, and kind of don't want to fiddle with a wrap. 1st world problems. Plan on placing order this weekend after testing the 5 seater.
This was my first video I’ve watched of yours and had to subscribe. I just test drove the model Y 5 seater yesterday and fell in love with it. I want a Tesla and that’ll be my next vehicle. Someone that’s 30 and adding more to the family. Currently 2 adults and one 7 year old and adding at least one more child and a pet. I think the 7 seater is the way to go because I noticed the built in arm rest in the 3rd row but losing that space is very very minimal. I don’t think I’d use the 3rd row all that much so I’d keep the seats down but just in case! I prefer the black interior because I personally don’t like white and all the possible stains it comes with that’ll be noticeable
Thanks for the support and I'm glad our videos were able to help with your decision. Lets us know if there is anything you'd like to see in the future that would help!
@@LockettTech You're welcome! I'm trying to find some information online but can't really find it and that'd be all the costs to consider when it comes to owning a Tesla. I know there's little to no maintenance but maybe getting an idea on car insurance, is it equal, less or more than a normal vehicle? I noticed they don't have a spare tire unless I'm wrong. Things like that? So long story short, information on all the costs to consider when owning a Tesla and the maintenance to consider as well! Thank You!
Nice video. Really appreciate you discussing the crumple zones on the 7 seater. We are waiting for delivery. Quick question- have you found suitable options for all weather mats for the 7 seater? Thanks!
Thanks! Congrats on your upcoming delivery! Unfortunately we have yet to see any all weather mats released fo r the 7 seater 3rd row or trunk. I have reached out to 3D a few times too with no response. If you find any let us know!
Wish I could've gotten into a 7 seater, but I'd have had to give up $3500 state incentive due to the msrp being too high. No regrets on my order otherwise. Went with black seats. White look nice and I'd have tried them for no additional fee but they weren't worth the $1k premium to me.
@@LockettTech bro thank you so much!!! Once I get my model y (estimated in June) I can’t wait to start making videos on it. You totally inspire me brother! 🍻
I appreciate the review, but how do you know that Tesla designed the crumple zone in the back with the 3rd row in mind? I'm sure they did, but I'm curious about any references that this can be linked to.
The blue exterior with the white interior would be really sharp. I wonder if they will be changing the paint options in the next 12 months? Maybe offer a deeper cranberry or black cherry red.
So I know on the 5 Seaters the second row doesn't move back, on the other hand the 7 Seaters does. But how much more space does it get? I'm paying 3k just for the extra space boost for the second row.
Hello, nice video. I am guessing the answer is no, but I will ask: is there any difference in the legroom for the second seat between the 5 vs 7 seater? Thanks.
Hi there. I have a question. Can I safely put a kayak on top of this Y glass roof with foam kayak blocks?. I am a kayaker and need to go kayaking for fun. I ordered a Y with your code so I appreciate the information. Thanks again.
Thanks Rachel! Congrats on your order and thanks for using our code! You sure can. Just need to get the roof rack (I recommend the one from Tesla) and then you can install any 3rd party kayak cradle on to the rack. Make sure to email us a pic from delivery day so we can give you a proper shout out! Send it to LockettTech@gmail.com.
Model Y is not long enough for 7 seats. The last row of 2 seats basically can fit a child of under 5 yrs as they don’t need much legroom, however there is no ventilation back there. Kids will be suffocated after 1/2 hr ride. With the sunshine in Ca & AZ, last row will be so hot as the roof is on top of the seats.
Putting the center seat back down in the second row allows the third row to get a ton of air to help with that. We tinted our roof too to help with the heat and it works great.
What if you have the single seat of the second row folded down, can the person sitting in the third row put their legs up onto the second row seat that is folded down - kinda like an ottoman?
Does the middle seat in the second row fold down/forward independent of the other two seat? I thought I saw this on a video but no one else has mentioned it. Picking up my 5 seater in 2 days!!!!
Thanks for the helpful video, guys! I really appreciate the insights! How are those small side armrests in the 3rd row impacting the cargo space of the 7-seater? Compared to the 5-seater, do they make it any narrower or edged when loading the trunk while the 3rd row is folded? Cheers from Germany from someone desperately waiting for his Model Y MIG!
@@LockettTech ah that’s one of the deciding factors for me. I’ve been in the back seat of a model 3 with two other people and it’s very cramped. Was hoping the model Y had some more wiggle room
@@AgWhatsUp it feels a little bigger because of the taller roof but they both are on similar sized platforms so the leg room is really close to the same
@@LockettTech totally helps. We are average size. My brother in law is tall at a little over 6 feet but other than that no one else is tall. Thank you!!! Test driving tomorrow!
Well did a test drive and LOVED it. However, my kids complained the whole time that they didn’t have enough room. I even sat in the third row and was fine. Maybe they were just hangry. Saddest part is my husband said if it fit us all well he would have considered buying it 😭😭
Way too much introduction. Almost six minutes in, and there's still no comparison of the 5-vs-7 seats. Zero effect from White versus black interior, identical frunk, etc. If you're going to offer these videos as a profession or side-gig, please get to the point right off the bat. I appreciate the topic and thank you for that.
