I actually really like the 90s over the top nature of the Clowns rocket launcher backpack, totally reminds me of McFarlane figures back in the day.

Agree with your take, would have been fine with just Clown. I want to pick this one up, but will probably hold off and wait for a deal in the Fall. Nice sign-off at the end!

That voice mod at the end f****** sent me bro! I really appreciate you giving due props to Leguizamo, he carried that movie and is probably the most memorable part of it.

I'm digging this new Spawn line. I'll definitely be picking up the Redeemer and Gunslinger and I'm really hoping they'll get to characters like Medieval Spawn, Overtkill and The Curse.

I agree with you, that older clown was amazing compared to the new one... I did preordered it and it wasn't cheap. Just wish that it had more paints and washes. Its sad that mcfarlane toys new figures are lacking in the paints. I guess I am gonna have to add more paints to make him pop. Great job on this unboxing and review video

I preordered Clown and Violator the second I saw them. Spawn has a weird nostalgic quality for me in that I remember being really little and watching my older cousins go from being obsessed with X-Men and Batman to the Image comics characters like Spawn and Wildcats. I saw the article with the pictures of the new figures on Toyark and immediately remembered all of the comics they had (and were sadly lost when they moved away) and seeing the series 1 versions of Clown and Violator when they got those. I might go back and preorder Rdeemer and Raven Spawn too because I think those look amazing, but I had to get Clown and Violator for sure. I think the giant turret setup with clown is a bit unnecessary, but it does look cool and I'm planning on displaying these figures MOC anyway so it's not a big deal for me. Great review!

Probably the best bet to prevent droopage would to have a transparent or dark object to prop those guns up , and brace it .

My favorite clown figure is the repaint with the Jack O'LATERN face paint.

I gotta get him. Good review setting him up next to an older Malbogeia fig, clown, and the kickstarter Spawn and MK Spawn. Yeah the back pack is big I agree. Would have been better if he came with guns instead.

I'm just glad they gave us a knife and switch blade incase you dont want the huge guns on his back. All around great fig though

Idk how you were able to make him stand ..I ended up using the neca flight stand ..pretty much holds the weapon pack ..cool figure ..this review is what made me get out there and buy it ..had to get violator aswell ..waiting for the rest to show up

Getting this one but wish he was by himself instead of having some arsenal!! Also that hole in the back is kind of sad. Tho I still will get this one cause seeing Leguizamo play clown was hilarious!!

I made a plug for the back painted it black very easy to make makes him look way better when without the backpack

I can see this also being released without the backpack and also a new jacket. They can take the bullets off the jacket and have a solid back to cover up the hole.

Back did need a plug and most McFarlane figures need more paint .Great review

Agreed, lose the heavy artillery accessories and just give me a set of extra hands, head sculpt with his tongue out and some painted hands or add blood on them. I’m sure if you hold out. That will be the next variant/exclusive lol 😉 thanks for the review Shiz 🤙🏼

I don’t know if anyone had this problem but while trying to balance with figure with the gun pack on, the entire right part of the gun pack came off, not just the gun part but also the 2 pieces that move it around. The hinge or thing that allows it to reconnect is still intact but I’ve been trying to push it back in for so long but it doesn’t go in.

Wait a few months, they'll release it without the weapons, maybe with a new face.

8:24 First time seeing someone show off Violator III...it's always the movie version. So yours came with a heart accessory, cause mine came with a human skull. Didn't know there was a little variant like that.

Id buy it just for war machine's new guns

Need to find a solution for that hole in his back because I won't be using the weapons attachment

This to me would be the perfect figure they release two versions of like you said. A normal Clown without the backpack for a cheaper price. Then this guy for extra. None of this alt head nonsense Mcfarlane likes to do. Additionally, as you said, provide a peg for those who don't want to display it with the backpack. Give consumers more options for display as we may not share Mcfarlanes vision for capes and other accessories that radically change the presentation. Rotating plastic parts and weight. If the user doesn't have a way to tighten them droopage is going to eventually win hard. I'd be very concerned during warmer days. Finally let's talk about the wrists. Those are very ugly. They are ugly with every figure they are used with(Devestator,Darkseid,etc). I don't understand how that left prototyping. I think there's a better form to limit how much the joint sticks out. Or just use a bigger peg. Again it's like the idea that someone may not pose it like Mcfarlane wants isn't considered. This great presentation is offset by some very big eyesores.

Constructively speaking when I saw him as a deluxe and I saw the price I didn't feel comfortable at all I theorized something that would have been better to earn the deluxe label would have been a mid transition violator head and hands like the '90s movie from new line they had a clown with accessories that you could swap on top of the figures head and hand to make it look like he's transforming I think that would have been a better deluxe especially if they had additional hands or effects that would have justified it but the guns I'm not feeling it overall the figure is amazing but the guns are not necessary at all I personally wanted to buy it second hand without the guns for cheaper but I couldn't find any necroplasma would have been good as well maybe some severed pieces of his body as well as the violator transition deluxe figure that definitely would have earned the price range but I understand this is a new take on the 90s version

Clown isn't bad. The huge guns aren't necessarily but their ok. I'm sure some 3rd party folks will make a plug for the back. Debating on ordering Clown or just wait and see what else Mcfarlane does by the end of the year.

It frustrates me that they decided to use clown to take advantage of your wallet for no reason with the pointless backpack. All in the name of squeezing a few extra dollars out of this line. I do have him preordered…for now…but do I really want a HUGE box to take up room in my closet….haven’t decided yet.

The gun is whatever to me and the fact that he has no plug to replace the hole the gun leaves is disappointing. Also the statue version of him skin color wise looks better imo. It just add to his personality of being of being a real greasy slime ball. Instead of a massive gun, an alternate head sculpture would’ve been more greatly appreciated for more expressive play-ability. Though I find it funny that he has more attention to paint apps (with the exception of his hands of course) than western Spawn. Even his gun accessory has more paint apps in comparison to western Spawn’s gun holster.

Why does Clown need all them guns when he's already a walking weapon!!?? I mean you don't see Bruce Banner running round with a bunch of guns.
