We were lucky to be one of the first to ride the new 2022 Triumph Speed Triple RS, so we hired our own track and gave it to Chris. #triumph #speedtriplers #bikeworld
If Chris is doing the review, then I will watch, regardless of the bike. Really appreciate his down to earth and often funny style. Certainly one of the top 5 motorcycle reviewers that I constantly watch. Thanks mate, solid review as usual.
@@BikeWorldTVshow Such a beautiful sound , the exhaust sound changes as the rev increases , from sophisticated in the low to the roaring in the high , Mechanically (a mechanical engineer here) , and as a bike enthusiast, 3 Cyls are the best when it comes to power delivery, low end torque + top end rush , and due to triumphs T-plane crankshaft (perfect secondary balance) this thing revs very high for a engine that size , and reaches redline quicker than any I4... I've plenty experience, owned an R1 (sold last year and got a cycle), r6, zx 10r, the busa, Zh2, RSV4, panigale, cbr 1000, and z900 , daytona 675, street triple 675RS, RE bikes, and what not , but i find three cyls the best among inline 4s and 2s (Vs are better ). (Except some radicals i4s ). I love your style of reviewing, and love how you are more of a enthusiast and less of a reviewer! Exactly what we need . I'm gonna get a trident 660 next or this. Currently riding a cycle after selling my R1😂
@@williamcb78 I agree with you. But if we're to name a few, I think reviews from channels like (#Living it up) can stand a chance on the list, if not on the top!
Looks like Triumph have knocked it out of the park with this one - they've made a bike so suave that the most eloquent hooligan on the net, Chris, couldn't bring himself to hooliganise it. Great review
@@S1000xrhp I have a tuono v4 factory.... it doesn't get much attention anymore.... but thats me.. the lightweight and nimbleness of the 890 makes riding it so much more fun
I'm ashamed to say I've never come across this journalist before, but I was pretty impressed. As soon as I find out his name I'll be checking out more of his stuff
The grumpy old man who's about to complain that the internet is too fast will always be my favorite pro rider hooligan. In the world of two wheeler journalist experts, Chris Northover stands alone. He's like a young Ayrton Senna lapping the field in the pouring rain in Estoril - simply one of a kind talent!
4k, music that doesn't play over the bike's engine, great commentary and analysis, wheelies and amazing cornering, this is how you make a motorcycle video. Well done!
From all the UK-based RU-vidr, Journo reviews I‘ve seen so far yours is the one I enjoyed listening. Landed on earth talk. Not full of superlatives and service to Triumph words you can google and seeing being mentioned by the same people in the same way just for every older gen bike when it was tested as new! And well done referring to the state of your tires as testimony of how good it works out of the box, think this should be done more often really. Thanks
Great to see that you're enjoying your self,, good fair and factual review as all off us seen you on the ktm super Duke test,, glad triumph built this bike,, I've an 08 one and modified the life out of it,, lightning everything,, but limited in the power stakes,,, from Northern Ireland greatly appreciated,, will look forward to seeing you on the road test ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
I loved the review! Oh, I miss so much my Suzuki 1250 Bandit and my Hayabusa...( not at all my last bike, a Harley Davidson 🤮 ). Old days. Maybe the reason I got to 50 years old alive, being so enthusiastic about the sensation of speed and freedom was giving up the sport bikes and got into the sport cars. It’s very good. But not the same. I can’t help to be hopelessly in love every time I see one of those exciting bikes. Be safe!
Got this motorcycle journalism off to tee Chris, the riding is rather good too ! This for me is the bike I'm most interested in this year, or even for a few years....nice one Triumph.
Great review, good job! I owned the 1050 rs and now the 1200 rs and the suspension is perfect on roads in good condition but if they are not they feel hard. I just changed tires, a friend recommended the CONTIRACE ATTACK 2 STREET and I have to say that with this type of tire the problem is over. I never thought that a tire would influence the suspension setting so much. To those of you who have the 1200, try another tire with a softer casing, it does not have to be continental, although I doubt that I will mount another tire again and I have tried supercorsa, s21, TT, rs10 ..... but none that works better with the suspension. my speed 1200 is now better than the speed 1050 rs
WOW what a sweet video ! I enjoyed it a lot ! I've been waiting for it ! Editing, sound quality & music are very good, and the review of Chris very good too 💗. I have a good idea of what the new Speed 1200 is like to ride. But what about the behaviour of the rear shock Chris ? And is it more agile in the chicane than the Ducati Streetfighter ? (PS: I can't wait to see a video comparison with the new Tuono V4 Factory! 😍)
Great details that are too often over-looked by most reviewers. This is the type of review that allows you to narrow your decision without needing to ride every bike first.
I’m convinced after this review, I was gonna get the Tuono factory, but this has the more sleeper looks. And Chris saying he’s all grown up…. Then pulls a minger all down the straight!!! Awesome!
Imagine how it would look if Triumph had used up all its grey and black paint stock. Have you seen their teaser questionnaire asking what colours we might like.... err you mean red, orange, green, blue? 😂😂
On pure sex appeal, nothing rivals the v2/v4 and I’m not a duca fan by any means. But as a performance package, this is the bees knees in roadster segment
Rider Name: "W...I...L...L...Y" Great review!!! Will you also be doing a road ride review? Really interested in what you make of it. A lot of the other reviews have said its set up is a little too hard for road but would be interested in your take on it.
When the 765 was going to be coming out I was asking some local contacts "what about the SPEED triple" and got a "just wait and see" because they couldn't talk about it. I set my expectations pretty high and this blew away all my expectations.
The Speed Triple was worldwide everyone's inc every journo's naked/hooligan/ street fighter for over 10 years. Prolly 15 years. Won every group test etc etc. Then along came the Tuono and changed everything forever. This class has never been the same since. Just more ballistic.
Great review Chris and clearly a real weapon of a machine, but please Triumph, can we have one in a proper colour please [racing red and/or competition green etc].
I’d be all over one of these but reckon I’ll wait for the next model year and see if they make one that isn’t black or slightly less black. Bring back actual colours please Triumph.
colours don't sell enough. Customers mostly choose classy colours : black or grey. Triumph knows that. Sometimes some coulours are difficult to sell by dealerships and they struggle to sell the red or gold bike in the showroom and must apply a large discount when the model year is outdated.
Could easily get a few models out of this engine! New Sprint ST or maybe chuck it in a Tiger for a super moto type model too! Looking forward to my test ride. 😁
Test rode one yesterday and totally agree with Chris . I think for someone under 14st the front forks would need some adjustment and Triumph missed a trick by linking the anti wheelie with the T.C . The quick shifter is superb and so are the brakes and it could tempt me away from my Superduke at 15 grand . Well done Triumph. Almost forgot , more racy paint job please as us super naked riders like so show off a bit.
