Smashing that thing out mate. Dead set, that late braking is epic! You certainly ride the ass out of what ever you own! Simply awesome to watch. Love the commentary on this one. Lets us mere mortals understand as to what you are doing. Thanks 😉
Awesome riding. My Pani V4S with R fairings was doing 193 GPS in T12 for comparison . Your braking is spot on. Most people leave a ton of time in that phase and for me it was always the easiest place to find time.
I watch all your vids bro and you make all your riding on those brakes and your good on the judgement, top class riding as always which is why i watch you, keep up that good braking man
I was on the superduke! Next time I’m gonna try and keep up with you man! I was able to squeeze out a 2:28.2 by the end of the day so I don’t think I can but I’d still be a fun time!
Bro you were flying in some areas. I have to find it, but there was a section I was trying to reel you in and couldn't. Really, the extra couple seconds I have on you is in on the brakes, I'm pretty mild when it comes to lean angles.
Dude I’m so looking forward to riding with you one day! I did the Aprilia day in April but we only had about 3 sessions for the day, literally the final 3 sessions were red flagged. Would appreciate a tow and learning from you!
I have been waiting for your ST1200 track video, thanks brother and your commentary and pace/flow were exceptional GRACIAS! For sure, proper pitting out signaling procedure is super important and its easy to cause an accident when done improperly (Thanks for addressing it). I did my first track day on the ST1200 last week and I was delightfully surprised how competent it was and the brakes were perhaps some of the best I have experienced. I found the rearsets woefully low and the grip on the pegs were very poor in my opinion. Have you performed any modifications to the rear sets and/or pegs? What ECU upgrade did you do and do you think it was worth it? Is it still the stock exhaust? Lastly, did you run slicks? Sorry for so many questions and my apologies if you addressed the ECU before. Cheers and hope to see more videos.
Thanks for the comments man. I'm used to the lower pegs on the S1000XR, so they're not an issue for me. Might start dragging as I become more confident with the lean angles. The ECM is the stock file, just with the limiter removed. I removed the muffler portion of the exhaust for this track day since it's really heavy, but it still sounds mild with the catalytic. Tires are Michelin Cup 2 which are pretty amazing. Got another track day in a couple of days, looking to get faster on it 🤙
Haha, two things are certain climate change and you will get faster 🤙cojelo suave and thanks for the information. Oh, I am ordering the RR brackets it is supposed to raise it 1 inch and it’s about $160 all in and I may pair it up with a universal peg from California Superbike. ✌️
Good riding. What type of tires do you have for the track? I just bought a Speed Triple RS last week by the way. Planning for track days. Any other recommendations? Thanks
Yes, Cup 2s, amazing tire. I put both fast laps side by side (on Facebook) and the XR came thru just fractions of a second quicker, but that's only because I slowed down significantly on some of the last turns with the Speed Triple. The rest of the lap the Speedy was pulling ahead; it's faster for sure I just need some clear track to get better times.
What do you think would be better for just street riding, the new 765 Street Triple or the 1200 RS Speed Triple? I've ridden the Street Triple on a test ride before and, OMG, was it ever buttery smooth, and very very quick. The 1200 RS I haven't ridden yet but I would sure like too, if given the chance.
What were your lap times like, especially relative to the XR? The Speed Triple has about 15 mph on the top end relative to the XR, though your RR and Ducati superbike buddies have at least another 15 mph.
Tom I put them side by side on best laps, and the Speed was about .3 seconds off. I have the video up on the CR Facebook page. The Speed Triple was ahead by about half a second but I lost a ton of time on 16-18, focusing too much on my BP and not carrying enough speed.
Hello, Very good engine unfortunately it remains a roadster without protection against the wind. Once you drive the S1000xr difficult to gallop on another motorcycle:) Thank you for your videos which are very well done.
Check it out. He saw me next to him so he kept his distance, but in the video looks really tight. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L8Xv98NPLc0.html
@@CubanRider I figured he did, but I wondered how close you guys got...LOL! I watched the video, and you guys came and went pretty quick from that RSV4...
I remember after you bought your RS you were ready to get rid of it, especially when some of the parts vibrated lose and almost fell off. I wish I would have kept mine. The RR is not as much fun.
Jeff I was very disappointed, let it sit in the garage for a long time, but now everything is fixed and so far it's riding great (fingers crossed). Why don't you like the RR?
@@CubanRider Ik I will I just peopled over the 2k miles mark. And man it is amazing. Only had one issue with the shift shaft snapping but 2 months later she was back and ready to go
@@CubanRiderin every single braking Area you were mid range RPM , that's good for that bike, but that wouldn't work on a ZX10r or a CBR 1000 RR-R for example.... That bike is easy to squeeze 80-90% of the performance out of it , which is perfect on the roads. On the track I would prefer a sportier engine , something that's asking for a redline and more involvement for driving fast...but that's just my opinion and personal taste 🙏
@@Vincenzo911 I hear you. This engine has a great torque band, it can pull out of corners one gear higher than I would normally use on the S1000XR. I still need to downshift to 2nd for turn 8 though, it can help me slingshot out of turn 9 a lot better. Oh well.
