So I tested first the Moto2 Street and than the Speed. So basically the Speed will arrive in 2-3 weeks 🇨🇭. I can't wait that long. I just can't. I felt just like you on it. Amazed and happy 😍. I hope there won't be any stories again like blown (765ccm) engines. Oh and the only thing I hate about the speed is the exhaust. Like seriously the bike is expensive and they put an ugly a55 exhaust like in the 00s. There are other stock exhausts with valve system which look way better. Even a beer can looks better. Let us hope there will be a legal aftermarket exhaust in europe/worldwide. 😜
@@MotoFeelzstraight up great work ,happy to sub ,👍🏼 would be nice if u could test the new mt09sp ,give it the beans n give a critical review since youve tested the trident n speed1200, the mt09 sp sit between these two together with the street765rs. Think triple fans out there would be glad to hear comparison reviews 🙏
@@jeffreymeesterman5292 i went from a 2014 mt09( heavily upgraded) to a sdr1290 and now potentially back to mt09 (2021 sp) cause of lock downs i cant access a track and my bike is my main form of comuitting. A liter class super naked feels so so so excessive to commute in a city thru stop n go traffic 😖. So i guess it depends on your needs. The 1050 speed will feel more refined than the older mt09 but not much faster. This new 1200 though .she looks like a smooth sexy beast
This is my new favourite RU-vid review! Your joy is palpable. The only thing wrong with this review is that it’s got me wanting to make bad financial decisions 😂 That RS looks like an amazing bike.
Well done, a proper review. In the uk every pro test rider has said its too stiff yet you recon its comfy. I wish the pro testers had your enthusiasm. It looks like a great bike most riders would be happy to own and have a smile on their faces when they open the garage door. I think the testers in the uk have not done this bike any justice. Such a shame as it’s clearly an awesome bike, real world reviews are far more interesting as let’s face it most of us are average riders not pro racers.
Exactly! I am not by any means a pro rider, or have that much experience with fast bikes, or have ever ridden the track. This was me just taking it out for a rip and sharing my thoughts. The suspension felt fine for a regular city commute, but was noticeably stiff when I hit the country roads. I guess you could soften up the suspension when not on the track, then re setup for track day. If I had the coin it’d be in my garage 👌
great review! Pretty well convinced that ur riding my next bike. Been checking YT for Reviews every week since they announced... & Ur Review covered a lot of the stuff I wanted an opinion on (from a Non-Moto Journalist POV). Def a bit jealous right now, but really happy to see that its coming to U.S. for under $20K, essentially track-ready. Looks like triumph really upped their game on this new ver. of the Speed Triple & especially didn't forget about/ skip out on any important components or key features inc. Electronics & dash etc. I'm guessing its gonna be a home run for them, even here. Thanks again✌
I bought this bike 6 days ago and it's been great. The weather unfortunately - not so much, so I've only been able to put in around 140km on the bike so far. Lots of positives in this bike, including the suspension which in my opinion is great for the road (I'm 176cm and 80kg). The only negatives so far are the menus, which are a bit cumbersome to use and have slow animations, and the gearing of 2nd gear. If I encounter slow traffic (around 30km/h) I need to pull the clutch and roll the bike or shift to 1st because the bike doesn't really like to go 30km/h or less on 2nd gear. Other than that it's a really awesome bike!
Whoah im in the same boat, had a street675r, had a close friend with a speed1050 that borrowed regularly haha. And now im on the sdr1290 . This thing is tempting. That back view with the new tail lights is sexy as hell. Triumph also has the audi styled led signals.. dayum that would make this bike looks so class. Ps Compliments to the B roll footage from moto feelz.
Great review. Really need to try one of these out to see how it compares to my street triple. I've ridden a tuono v4 and a superduke, wonder how this stacks up
couldn't agree more. Was debating bt Super Duke & Speed Triple. At this point, Pretty sure Triumph's got me sold!! Also considered MT-10 to start but seems like Yamaha doesn't care about updating it & it just can't compete w the other bikes in its class these days.
Neutral synchro is probably on the output shaft of the transmission. If the back wheel is totally stopped it's very hard to find neutral. Rock the bike backwards a couple inches as you toe the gear lever up from first.
@@MotoFeelz thanks for the reply. Yeah maybe there was clutch drag? On a new bike sometimes the clutch drags a bit and that makes it really hard to get neutral. Once the run-in oil is changed and the clutchnplates bed in a bit it might get better... 🙂
@@MotoFeelz Absolutely, she looks it! Dangerous for the ol' demerit points lol. I really like what Triumph have done with the styling though. Their fit and finish is through the roof lately.
I liked my 2012 Speedy, but the lack of top end made it a bit boring, I swapped it for a V4 Tuono which was brilliant. I prefer the V4 sound too, there is nothing better on God’s Earth IMHO, but I’m keen to try this new iteration. Thanks for your thoughts.
@@dmbassett the big ADV Tiger actually if you Google it you will see spy pictures of it is the exact same of Tiger 900 but bigger engine of course slightly thicker .... can't wait 😅
@@ShineBright__ oh i see. That makes sense. I didn’t think the 1200 engine was a good fit for the existing Tiger1200 as that bike is more touring focused but on the Tiger900 platform well that starts to make more sense. I ride the Tiger 1050 Sport and had my fingers crossed that they would update it with this new 1200 monster plus bring the electronics package up to 2021 standards but maybe the 900 platform will be it. I can’t imagine they will be making this 900 into a fire breathing 1200 off road bike so maybe it will become the Tiger Sport and be focused more on Tarmac. I’m off to Google.
@@ShineBright__ can’t find anything all I can find is spy shots of the new tiger 1200 not the tiger 900 platform and no mention of dropping this motor in.
@@MotoFeelz wish I knew but I can tell you this. People at red lights watching me or others on this type of bike; dance around to find that non existent gear has to look ridiculous.
Did you find the suspension particulary stiff or choppy in or around town?. That's been said a few times by other testers, but I don't think I heard you say anything about it. Maybe that's good news?
185 kg - that's about as heavy as my xj600 at 40HP.....So let me see IF I have this correct 200HP pulling 185kg - that is insane - nobody is going to stay on that bike unless they have the reactions of a shithouse rat - its way too fast for a day to day transport and its not a race bike either so where is the market for such a splendid machine? ITS A WHITE ELEPHANT as it is IMHO.
Yea man, it's damn quick no doubt. In saying this though, you can sit at 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 km/h without feeling like you're riding a track spec bike. The beast really is unleashed at around the 7000rpm mark. Literally transforms the bike. Triumph nailed this and is super impressive when you experience it
