2021 Volkswagen Passat B8 Variant 2.0 TDI - POV Test Drive 

I prefer automatic / DSG. But I don't mean to say that the Passat with manual gearbox is worse. For me personally, the automatic gearbox is more pleasant to drive.

@@GTOMAXIM The way a DSG pulls away from standing still and the kickdowns arent so great in my opinion. I like an automatic with torque convertor more. What I also dislike about the DSG7 is the 7th gear. Its way too long, which is bad at high speed accelerations. Its basicaly like an overdrive gear.

I like manual more, for long run, maintenance, cheaper and more fun to drive

I am of the opinion that it depends on the needs which engine is better.... Personally, I would prefer the diesel.

1.5 tsi is a bit faster and 2.0 tdi has a bit less fuel consumption.I would choose 1.5 tsi because it's better for city driving and cheaper to buy.
