@@sumidk7674 I think people seem to forget. Before the current GEN 5.0 and the 2016 and up Camaro SS came out 392 was king for a long time.

They are pretty good fr the rev matching and no lift shift features are sweet. The clutch in those is a little weird to me but I also haven’t driven a variety of stick cars either. Not sure on the power tbh I’d say if you threw a twin or triple disc clutch in you’d probably be good for a good amount of power. I’ve always heard the engines are the weak point in these cars before the trans

First off it’s not a redeye so there’s a big difference there and he started normal in 717 hp mode using the red key.

He my friend so I know he didn’t do any of that plus if he was using the black key I would’ve put a few busses on him like scats😂😂

I'm a Chevy guy but can tell when videos are selectively edited, an lt1 camaro isn't putting bus lengths on scats or hellcats without some mods. Take that camaro to vengeance racing in Georgia for a cam and some American racing headers and now your talking. They've done fantastic work on my vettes. I also have a redeye and know how hard they pull. Waiting for my C8 Z06 next

Only the 2020 and higher lt1 comes with 6.2L from ss it just looks like a base camaro

A LS with a healthy cam will need a 3500+rpm stall converter and at least 3.73 gears if running a 3 or 4 speed automatic and if it's still a dog something is wrong but your right a stock 93-97 LT1 has more low end torque than a stock LS or a LS with a healthy cam that being said if you have a stock 1600rpm stall converter and 3.42 gears the 93-97 LT1 will be faster but a LS with a healthy cam 3500+rpm stall with 3.73 gears or more will eat a 93-97 LT1 up from 4500rpm-7200rpm the LS engine makes peak torque at 4800-5000rpm peak torque with a 93-97 LT1 is at 2800rpm and torque drops like a brick off a cliff at 4500rpm a LS engine with a healthy cam will make good torque to 6500rpm LS engines love high stall converters and 3.73 or more gears otherwise your right you'll have a dog if your setup doesn't have matching parts that are designed to work with each other it will not be fast and be a dog l had a 1994 Camaro Z28 it ran good enough to destroy stock Mustangs of the era but l now have a 2011 Camaro SS with a GM performance LS3 495 horsepower crate engine and the 2011 Camaro SS would completely destroy the 1994 Z28 l used to have it wouldn't even be close

I'm not arguing any of that. I understand the hellcat place in the market. If I had a family and was looking for a fast daily for 70k it would definitely be towards the top of the list for me. I was saying this particular hellcat seems to be down on power or something. Even from the roll race it barely pulled on a stock LT1. I have an SS and have raced hellcats before. You need FBO E85 or around (480-500 whp) to keep up if you're full weight. Stock hellcat should be pulling pretty good on a stock LT1. Stock LT1 is slightly faster then an SS because its a little lighter, but its not much. I dont know if it was really hot and pulling timing or bad gas and pulling timing or something else, but it seemed off. That or that LT1 is a freak.

I don’t know. I have a challenger hellcat redeye and I think the guy driving the charger either had it in economy mode, or he doesn’t know how to launch it properly. It shouldn’t be that close.

Both cars kept tc on so that’s part of why we both launched so slow
