I can see the glass door being an issue. Aside from the replacement cost if you break it ( things get broken when you go camping - especially with little ones around ), you have zero air-flow, other than two tiny windows on that side of the trailer. That would be a huge issue. And you're right, during the day people can't see in, but you can see out through the door. But at night it's likely the other way round if you have any kind of light on inside. I think the airflow and fragility of the door, make it the answer to a question no one asked. I do like the little fridge near the door, instead of at the back end. And the storage compartment under the bunk is good too. My old Surveyor had the same thing, the door was tall enough when the bed was folded up, you could put a family's worth of bicycles in there. The sink, stove & countertop look well thought out.
This looks very close to the r pod 193 that we love We like the idea of the couch instead of a dinette We haven’t been able to find them anywhere right now. Would like to get inside one
The floor plan is perfect for me. I prefer the black label version because of so many features that I would want to add to this model anyway. Nice to have that already done. I will be boondocking often so the black label is equipped better for me.
Thanks for the video Josh. I think I’d prefer the black label version. Mainly for the solar package included and thicker bed for the kids. I like the exterior of the black label but also really like the look of the standard. With they had a windows that opened for both bunks. Also would be nice to have a ladder on the back!
I'll give my usual comment to make the bed a Murphy bed so as to provide seating area. But then, this looks to be mostly a sleep/eat/go unit. Thanks again for the review!
Love this trailer. I say put a mattress topper on that front bed and then it will be basically even with the headboard. Put your pillow on the headboard area and then you have the room of a true queen without having to remove the headboard and buy a different mattress.
Love the new door and jack! Prefer the smooth walls of the black label. Was higher in my list of trailers but there are two things that could move it up the list, one the sink in the shower looks like it takes us allot of shower space. Also my wife would prefer a separate bathroom sink and don't think this would work for her. The other thing that would be better is if the kitchen and dinette were to swap sides, would be nice if the kids could be out in the campsite and watched from inside with a view from the dinette.
Exterior color scheme is way better on the Black Label and the tinted frame less windows look better, too. One suggestion for your videos, can you give bunk and dinette dimensions? Very few manufacturer websites show those on their floorplans. Always love your videos!
I like the suggestion, but it's one I'm unable to fulfill consistently. It takes an extreme amount of time putting together this footage (more than I think people realize give the rate I crank them out). I have to leave items of specific individual interest to our sales team. If there's a model in which you're interested, then our team is always happy to hard measure anything in return for the fair opportunity to earn your business. You'll tend to find most single bunks roughly match and most double bunks roughly match since they all come from the same 3rd party supplier who sells the bunk mats to multiple MFGs. General rule of thumb: Bunks are 72-74" Long. Single bunks are usually 30" wide. Doubles roughly 60" wide.
Would like to see the "Bunk Beds" flat against the back wall with curtains. Split the shower and toilet to either side of the bunks or separate them better. Put an out side slide out Kitchenette under the awning to accompany the small fridge out side. Last I'd like to see a "Coat Closet" straight in between the dinette and the bed. For maybe three or four coats minimum. Use the side of the coat closet to house pockets and make room for a full queen standard. Thoughts?
I like all the ideas. It's always a push/pull when it comes to features vs. space allowances. Good example is the slide out kitchenette. By definition it has to slide back in somewhere which occupies space these little campers cannot often afford to lose. Always a tough balance
If Any reps from forest River are here...we need a shoe garage in these smaller campers!!! Arguably more than the bigger rvs! I bought one from another BIG dealer in Michigan by the something shore if you know you know... horrible service. Sales are nice and sweet and then they dump you. Haylett next camper we are buying from you!
Isn't there any way to design an updated shower fixture? If you are spending so much on the trailer, with all of its updated features, and the beautiful fixtures in the rest of the trailer, why not put something that matches the kitchen. The bathroom fixtures look so cheap, in my opinion.
Love: simple straightforward trim looks SO much better than the outdated swooshes and swirls. Improve: Bar style pulls are starting to look dated and can catch on your clothes.
I have a question for the RV nerd. I am on several different Facebook groups and am seeing all sorts of issues with the 12v furrion fridges. One of the things I love about these Wolf Pups is that you still get that big 12v fridge in a small camper. So...1. Are you guys seeing issues with the furrion fridges having to be repaired/replaced. 2. Are you able to option the Wolf pup with the Ever Chill fridge that forest River uses in some of their other campers?
Last fall we definitely saw a handful that needed work done to them. Since then figure Jan has made some improvements on their design which has improved their reliability pretty significantly I suspect it’s possible that much of what you’re seeing relates back to RV‘s purchase during that time frame that simply were not used a great deal and spent most of their time in storage over the winter until this year‘s camping season
Other than cost, why does Cherokee/Grey Wolf have the water heater where a baggage door should be? There is plenty of space under the bunks to put it like Jayco does on their bunkhouse models.
Great question with a simple answer: Standardization and predictability. By building things in a consistent way they're more easily able to build their living spaces & manage quality control through repetition.
I would recommend visiting one of these in person to make sure. It's not very large and doesn't seem obtrusive in person The entry door is something like a glass to create that sleek look and nearly invisible entry door window
@@JoshtheRVNerd Also I wish I would have seen the quick jack. I just installed an electric jack and right before I was thinking I carry a drill wouldn't it be neat if I could just use my drill. But I'd like to see how it worked hooked up, jacking up a tow vehicle to get the WDH bars on.
How is this for driving dirt roads while boondocking? I’m heading to Baja for the winter and looking for something that can handle those roads and off roads
Need to check our incoming list. I just can't keep it straight anymore. I recall the 23DBH not being "as much smaller" vs. the 26DBH people tended to think. On paper it looks like it's going to be a chunk shorter/lighter/less costly, but in reality it ends up being only a small amount different while giving up some good living space. I could be remembering the wrong model. I see a lot and they get blurry
@@JoshtheRVNerd After looking at the 2021 Wolf Pup I ended up deciding on a 2024 Geo Pro 19BH. Looking forward to your amusing takes on the updates to that model.
Also at 5:22 what the extra t pull drain? Fresh water tank? And I just replaced my hand crank jack and before I bought it I looked for something lust like this. and yes I travel with at least on drill.
We have models like this from several brands, but keep in mind a vanity cabinet could easily be added for you. Best advisory is to contact our team at 800-256-5196 & let them work on finding an RV that best fits your specific preferences.
@@JoshtheRVNerd ah ok, thank you. I have a one of the 16BHS models on order and just got my WD hitch, but it came with a 2 5/16". I'll have to swap the ball :(
@@MatrixPrime A bummer. Thankfully that's the less expensive ball to buy PRO TIP: Make sure you watch the diameter of the shank on that ball. Too often I see people use a skinny shank in their WDH or drop hitch insert & allow it to wiggle around there
@@MatrixPrime I think you'd find the cost of a service call just for a ball-swap to be prohibitive. Chances are if you take the insert and new ball with you to some local service shop they'll swap it out for a little bit of nothing As much as we'd love to work with you it feels like it would be doing you a dis-service to take your money on a job like that
A few others have voiced similar opinions. I understand the logic I would advise it's actually a higher grade glass vs. all the windows on the sides of RVs you see every day. Sidewalls also do not get near the debris of front walls thankfully I am sure SOMEONE has had something impact the door, but most of it will likely be related to on-site accidents
Love it. LOVE. IT. I'm using this. All credit to Jim for the Shub Shink. Man... now that I've said it out loud people are going to think I've been drinking on the job. ...which is a PERFECT segway to talking about shower beers lol
