Hello my friend. I put the driven grips on yesterday. They look awesome. I had problems with the throttle side. I just couldn't get it on. I put the glue in the grip, but a light spray of WD 40 on the throttle did the trick. I couldn't get it on there without it. I checked it real good. Its tight. I let it set all day yesterday in 92 degree heat. Thank you for the video. Big difference too me.

I’m definitely going to get a set of those driven grips. I have a set on the CBR and I need a set for the ZX10R. I use hairspray though, helps with sliding it on.
Novice at work apparently. Huge TIP for you next time- soak a tiny screwdriver with isopropyl alcohol and rub under the grip. It will come right off no matter if it’s glued on. I’ve done thousands this way. Finally, you don’t need any grip glue. Install with alcohol also. It evaporates and then your grips are dry and solid.

Cool. Thanks for the vid. Been thinking about getting more comfortable grips. Nice to see it's pretty straight forward. Last time I changed grips was on my 99 Vstar1100. It was a pain! Getting that cable right. Ugh. 👍
If you wear gloves (leather) the grip level increases, I know this after almost binning coz my gloves got a grip of the throttle when I didn't want them to.
Been following since you got your 09! I got the tech black, just don't have the extra $ yet to get an exhaust, but it's already available haha. It's good to see your 09 progressing man, enjoy it!

Hey Yama, I looked at the Graves bar end adapters at the Cycle City website link from your top 10 video and they show them for the R1/R6. I sent them an email and asked if they would fit the 2021 MT-09 and they said they could not confirm. Can you confirm? Yours look different in this grip install video so I'm wondering if you have the same ones. Many thanks for your videos and and info!
Hi from Malaysia. Wondering the purpose of glue, i think the grip is good enough to have all the friction? My way to install the new grip is put some soap water inside the grip. Maybe I am wrong.
Glue makes it stick better. Soap and water is ok. But actually hairspray works as well. But in the heat, soap and water will slip. So I prefer the glue.
@@tg8150 I’m OCD, Yamaha puts grip glue, I’m a follow an do the same. But hey, if you like no glue then I’m ok with your choice. It’s your bike :) thanks for watching the channel. Means a lot.
