Wow... I believe the LONGEST wait I ever had for a lock was a couple of hours (once) and I was about to lose my mind. And that wasn't on my ski! HOPEFULLY... wait times will improve for you. Those open and flat waters of the Western Rivers always meant WOT to me... 30+ MPH on the 'big' boat and 60+ MPH on my PWC. BUT... I didn't have your fuel constraints. There were a surprising number of catamarans at that lock. Seem to be becoming very popular Looper boats. Love the brown water (river) RU-vids.
It's like a real life game of Frogger where all the barges are at. Since you are where you are at, you know the locks are mostly the same, they get better the further south you go.
