Thank you if you have liked and subscribed! I have a LED welcome strip light for this side step. It lights up when you approach, unlock or lock your Tucson. Illuminate the side step for kids and the elderly. Look forward to seeing everyone at the install video.

Doing difficult for more money. I have got mine from Hyundai, original parts. Had them mounted on my new car by the Hyundai dealer. For just 800 euro in total, no discount.

I’ve got a 2022 Tucson, I purchased running boards but they sent brackets that only go up to 2018. My issue is I am not able to find proper brackets. I’ve called around and no one has them.

That`s true the hardware is hard to find! You`ll have to get the hardware from the seller, If they don`t have it them your best bet is a local hardware store, In Canada i use bolts plus they should have some hardware that`ll work

Can the mud flaps be installed after the running boards have been mounted
@teebrron
@teebrron 3 месяца назад
Not on the front, the OEM style mud flap they will fit on the back but not the front, You would have to modify it on the front for the OEM style to fit, But the `rally style` mud flaps will fit because they have a flat design.

do u think u can help me with 1 thing? i got a brand new Tucson and the 'rear' end of the trim is not fitting properly under the wheel well liner. when u were installing the running board, is there something complicated under the liner which connects it to the trim? i mean... i will try 2 have my dealer fix the issue (which is apparently an assembly defect) for free... but if they refuse... r u saying i can check what's underneath the liner and how the liner is connected to the trim's end by simply unscrewing the plastic screw? so that i can just unscrew the liner and check and c if i can fix this problem? what i'm referring 2 is actually seen on your vid @ 2.27. u r probably pulling the trim off @ that moment... but mine looks like that by itself (the other side of the car is assembled properly and the edge of the liner goes under the trim etc etc). i've always thought they would use some clip-like thing (for security/safety - 2 make sure there's nothing 2 self-unscrew due 2 vibrations and such)... using a screw at this location seems kind of weird 2 me (like asking for problems 2 happen l8r).

Congrats on the new Tucson im jealous since mines 2 years old now and yours is brand new. Both sides of your car should be identical, the fasteners which hold the trim in place should be the same on both sides, There should be several clips which fasten the trim and the 1 screw on both sides, If one side is different or has no clips then there`s something not right, The clips which hold the trim in place are somewhat easy to break during the removal process, The clips, trim and related parts are fairly inexpensive, (i have my 2022 OEM trim for you for free) if you pay the shipping.) If one side of your car is missing the clips in the center then they must of broke off during a previous removal or assembly. I don`t know if i even came close in answering your question but hope this helps.

@@teebrron 1. Thanks. 2. I might have confused u. No, I'm not trying 2 install/remove anything. I was just trying 2 confirm that a) the plastic body trim installation should look exactly the same on both sides and b) since u were removing the trim, mayb u remember the design of the assembly @ the point of contact of the well liner and the trim. My question was if the dealer refuses to fix this apparent factory assembly issue (and the car is only 105 mi 'old') I can at least unscrew the fastener (4 me it's actually a screw w/the head 4 the allen/hex wrench) and see what the problem is. Maybe I can simply 'tap' (I have a rubber mallet, u know... mallets and hammers usually solve all the mechanical issues... :) ) the end of the plastic trim into place and then put the wheel well liner back and screw the fastener back in and b done w/it... Hopefully no parts needed... That's y I was trying 2 ask if u remember if the 'end' of the trim panel is actually bigger or goes far under the liner and mayb it's actually being held in place w/the same fastener which holds the liner? I'm trying 2 think ahead here 2 foresee any complications w/my attempt of DYI 'fix' (I don't want 2 call my local shop which 'repairs what their husbands "fixed" ' and pay 4 those repairs). :)

@@nskmda Its possible that maybe it should be like that and the dealer is right, My model is a North American. The European models, South American, African, Asian, Australian models may be different. Where are you from? what trim is your Tucson? On my car both sides are the same. Yes you should remove it yourself and try to fix it, You can go to another dealership and see if they can confirm what the previous dealer said. If you have an allen hex head and not a screw then thats different from my 2022 SEL, Either way i think you should remove it and see if you can fix it yourself.

@@teebrron My model is from the same Arizona plant as yours. ;) Mine is 2024 SEL. They might have changed screws a bit. Hopefully it gets fixed by the dealer. They seemed to accept the fact it was bad assembly (maybe crooked trim or whatever). So far they tried once and made things a bit worse, actually. :( May I ask you one more ? about your car? How many pinch welds do u have on each side (per wheel)? In my 2024 I only have 1 pinch weld per wheel (2 each side) but they are small/short and won't allow for me to lift the car on the side *AND* put a jack stand under it. Looks like w/o extra tools (and knowledge) I can't do tire rotation myself. Because the manual doesn't even talk about any other lift points except 4 those pinch welds...
