Wow!!! No way! That's us! Truly - what an honor. The two of us have watched so many of these community spotlights together, and we never thought it'd be us up here. CA made it possible for us to make our videos at scale... If you're watching this in awe like we always do, keep it up! It'll be you up here one day :) 本当にありがとうございます!!❤🍙🍔
Ahh!! I'm featured! So cool, thanks Dave! It really is incredible what people are doing with this software. It makes animation so attainable and I have so much fun doing it. Excellent work to all people in this video 👍
This was really great and very inspirational! I myself am an animator and my goal is to create a children’s tv show. I’ve learned so much from Okay Samurai and appreciate that Character Animator is a tool that people can use to tell there stories and make their dreams into a reality!
Use #CharacterAnimator on social media, post to places like r/CharacterAnimator on Reddit, and just keep making cool stuff! At the end of the day it's a team & personal decision on who we include in an episode, and there are dozens of awesome pieces that we don't. But I try to at least comment or heart/like most of the cool work I see out there. :)
I wonder if Adobe Stock will ever have a section for CA Puppets. I've used both free and purchased ones for eLearning modules and videos, so I try to keep a list of websites from various animation artists and businesses.
i was a voice modulation artist since 20 years and i wanted some easy to use software that i can use to make different characters with different thought patterns and different voices...adobe charatcer is the one that came to my rescue and i make my own animated comedy series on my youtube channel.
Just really starting my animation journey. Thank you for all of the helpful information! I'm trying to decide if I want to invest in Character Animator or Animate or both. I love the MoCap of Character Animator, but I'm going to be working with animals that need to move like animals with four legs. Can CA do this? I also will need some animations in objects and backgrounds. Would love some advice.
Hi.. recently purchased Character Animator... 2 things. I don't have the reset next to my webcam. Just calibrate. 2... I've downloaded the NDI tools and NDI for OBS and I still do not have the choice to select NDI. I've downloaded, installed.. uninstalled.. restarted my pc.. reinstalled - restarted... nothing. Help??
1. The webcam button used to say "Set Rest Pose" but was changed to "Calibrate." 2. I tried this recently and it worked for me. If the problem persists, please upload a screenshot or video to the official forums at adobe.com/go/chfeedback so we can take a closer look.
Hi does anyone know how you sync up your puppet to videos in the background ? Do you have to try and time it perfectly without, then add video later ? Is there an easier way ?
Answered on Twitter, but will post her too: Yes, no video bg in CH. I'll dynamic link to PR or AE with the video bg, then take notes of key times in the video and point/gesture/etc. Then watch in PR/AE and adjust. Sometimes I'll take a screenshot of the video and import that into CH (like pointing at bullet points).
You have three options: dynamic link with Premiere and After Effects, PNG sequence and WAV, and video with alpha. You can find all three of them in the File > Export menu.
