I am 64 next month and that's the main reason I bought this bike new back in 2021 - comfortable (for a sports bike) and can be used in all situations with ease. I have 5 other nice motorbikes but this one is definitely the flagship of the fleet.

It certainly is a special breed of bike!

Great video mate, you wouldn't believe how hard I have tried to find a review on the S1000RR 22 plate, I have seen them from afar on days out on my Blade, and wanted one, so have ordered a used one and hope to get it next week, so you have allayed lots of fears I have had, if I made the right choice etc, all sounds great, will update you when I get it mate cheers

Hi@@sweet-triple-UK done about 1500miles on her now, been to the isle of man, so little bit of steady touring and lots of scratching, bike is awesome, so comfy after the blade, long distance no worries, handling great, gears / brakes great, maybe suspension a little hard but it is what it is, only issue I have had is with the sat nav, never wanted to work, dealer had it and said it worked for them ..... messed and messed with it till I lost the plot, but then last time I went out tried it and hey presto it worked, so dunno whats going on there ... have you had issues with yours ?

I’m pleased you’re enjoying the bike. They really are fantastic. Unfortunately I can’t help you with the satnav issue as I only borrowed that one for a day, however my mates got an Africa twin and says the CarPlay is useless so might be a thing across all manufacturers. Good luck with it, hope you figure out the issue. Another option is to just bin off trying to connect it all up and have your phone as a satnav on a quad lock? You shouldn’t have to do that but if needs must? I use a quad lock and calimoto, I’ve done a video on calimoto if you want to check it out.

Great little video and one hell of a bike! The blur didn’t fool anyone though, I definitely saw three figures on that dash! 😂

Thanks mate, it was an epic experience and definitely a bike that just eggs you on. Nah not three figures, the bit you think is the third figure is a ☑️ that tells you you’re riding it to BMW’s satisfaction 😉

I’m debating on buying this one in 2023 or the r1m 2023 and can’t decide

They are both nice, love the sound of the R1 however as a taller rider I find the BMW more comfortable. Can’t go wrong with either mate.

I’ve ordered a 24 RR M sport,wasn’t sure on wheels,heard carbon aren’t reliable so stuck to forged.

Great video i'll be purchasing one of these bad boys very soon looking at 2022 S1000RR M sport watched loads of videos like yours this bike just ticks so many boxes. My present bike a 1990 Kawasaki ZXR750H2 been a proud owner for the last 26 years (video on my channel) performed a full nut and bolt rebuild 7 ish years ago. To go from a 1990's bike to a 2022 is a massive jump in tec and power the ZXR makes 106bhp at the crank the BMW makes in on around 192 bhp at the rear wheel. So have to give it the respect it deserves ill probably shite myself the other way round no computers on the ZXR to get me out of trouble lol. Watching you just makes me want one even more - new sub here ride safe me old mucker 😉👍

Mate you’ll be fine, the electronics keep you on the straight and narrow… I’d say the Kwacker will have more chance of biting you.

Sweet, do you think that a person who is 6'2" tall will be able to do long distance touring(2,000 miles) on this motorcycle with comfort?
@sweet-triple-UK
@sweet-triple-UK 9 месяцев назад
Well I guess it all depends on how your defining comfort…. I’m a smidge over 6ft2 and I found it reasonably comfortable for just over 1h30 in the saddle. Not GS comfortable of course, and I do tend to stretch my legs as I’m riding along when my knees get stiff. I’d say the first place you feel it is knees followed by wrists but it’s a compromise and you’ll thank yourself when you get to the hairpins. To be honest my ethos is you can tour on anything with enough coffee stops! Thanks for stopping by and please subscribe if you haven’t already!

Oh few things I’ve just thought about @markettradinggenius I’m sure you will be able to get bar risers, heated grips and a comfort seat, add on a screen extension and it will feel more comfortable for the long haul. I remember this video from MCN that gives you some top tips for touring on a superbike ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rNNlVuZF0CE.htmlsi=8kXZtXjPxNVuz39T hope it helps. I’ll also add that the S1000RR is the roomyest superbike on the market and most comfortable of all of them. Also another top tip, get a set of decent ear plugs, they will take the noise fatigue out of the equation. These are my favourites www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/209932/birmingham?glCountry=GB&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqP2pBhDMARIsAJQ0CzpADezHFgZqnwgVP2jBpiS6JCoM0mMfK590Gq-3Y1K-KexFAUiNQcsaAqZBEALw_wcB and you can still hear the nice engine sounds, intercom, music, sirens etc but they remove the hearing damaging wind and engine noise, I also prefer a tail pack rather than a rucksack to take the strain off lower back this is what I have www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwj6-ZGRqZ2CAxUS6-0KHXa3D3IYABAXGgJkZw&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqP2pBhDMARIsAJQ0CzrW72xs9gODJvKJ03TVa0P9wV1WRLfFXB4jP3jDQCI2oUYWq3-ZWmgaAolWEALw_wcB&sig=AOD64_0tcbY7-BLV0AqPwPML8gsCAftp6w&ctype=5&q=&ved=0ahUKEwjHz4yRqZ2CAxVLTkEAHQ5sCfkQww8IvAk&adurl= so check if it works with the S1000RR or find something suitable (maybe a roll dry bag with bungy chords). Good luck and whatever you decide to tour on enjoy it mate and let me know how it goes!
