2022 BMW X6M Competition Review - Too much power in an SUV? 

Best car I've ever had. Had it 16 months and smashed 23,000 miles on it. Everything about it is amazing, apart from the fuel costs.

Amazing car! I traded my bmw M340ix and stepped up to the X3M competition and it’s a day and night difference in sports mode. The exhaust and the acceleration is incredible.

I reluctantly clicked on this video because I am not a big fan of BMW SUVs then I realized that it was you reviewing it so I decided to keep watching! WOW! Awesome review! I am not going to rule out BMW again!

I really enjoyed watching your review of the X6M Competition. I have owned a 2022 black X6M Competiton since last Nov. and it has only 2400 miles. This is my second X6 from a normal V8 and this M V8 is a totally different beast. I am thrilled to drive this one every time!

A very thorough review!~ I personally have an 2021 X5 M, and that thing is a miracle to drive. Only bad thing about it is the exhaust sound limitation due to GPF regulation in my region.

Have had a 2022 X6M Competition since September of 2021 I call it the Urus killer! Just passed 12,000 miles this week it is an awesome daily. The only thing I wish is for the exhaust to be a little louder when driving but still sounds beautiful.

The factory paint on this is so sick. I wish more companies offered something like this

Feels like you are in the Bat Mobile! I always hit me head when I go inside the X6 and less luggage space. Even though the X5 is built on the same platform The X6 is way cooler to drive and turns heads!

It looked like an excellent performance and driving vehicle. The front grill size has been corrected, the sides are good but it seems that the designers somewhere along the way lost their inspiration in the rear deck. For the size it is very, very fast. Thank you Charlie.

What a beautiful suv with great powerful engine mate! Fuh! If in Malaysia the price of this particular model which is start from basic model is around 650K Ringgit Malaysia and the Competition model price is almost RM800K 😂👍

My friend got one. He let me drove a little. it was awsome, but about 3 months later. The car started to have electronic issue and other issues. XD

Great review as always. I just got a 22 X6M Competition. Quick question for anyone here when you put it into M1 mode (everything in aggressive mode) is the shifting only manual via the paddle shifters ? Or can it shift on its own? I’ve only had it for 2 days but every time I put it in M1 mode it shifts only manually via paddle shifters, it won’t shift on its own.

I dont consider this a true SUV. It only holds 4 people and has no tow hitch. I owend a 2010 X6M a long time ago.. and it didnt feel like a real SUV, but an elevated sedan, with the inside space of a coupe. I drive a SRT Jeep.. now that feels like a real SUV.

BMWs V8 sound is like listening to an orchestra. I like it. This SUV is made here for German Autobahn driving where you legally can drive 250kmph without worrying getting in trouble like in Korea. 🤣🤣👍👍

I've driven the M5 G30 non competition version and I can tell you, it is WAY overpowered. Even with 591Hp, that thing rockets like a supercar and I was absolutely flabbergasted. I believe the 0-100 was around 3.6s but could do 3.2s? Insane I really don't see a need to shell out for a competition package unless of course you track or drag race for bragging rights. BMW's V8s are really something and even the wonderful AMG 4.0 v8s don't match up to them

It's been a slow month for Korean cars, not much news to get us excited.. I'm really interested to know what Genesis have on their sleeves. I really wish they would launch hybrid models instead of full EV.

I love this vehicle but is it worth purchasing when the average speed limit in the USA is like 70 mph on the highway and like 45 in the city? I feel like I won’t be able to use all that power without getting a speeding ticket.

An absolutely stunning car. I love this generation of X6. I just can't afford one. I might buy a 2016 X5, but the current models are out of my budget. BMW's are really something special and I want to own one before petrol cars are all banned by Klauss Schwab and the carbon neutral con.

Honestly, I never liked the exterior design of the X6 SUV. The egg shape just makes the car look weird. Also, it's either you are a SUV or you are not, really can't stand the "coupe" like modification to a SUV. And granted it's got loads of power, but who would use all the 0-60 @ 3.2 secs performance and the > 300km/h top speed? Most likely it's driven by a wealthy rich wife who drives it to the mall or supermarket, and gets stuck in traffic jammed roads Yes, rating of 10 for the insane amt of power in a SUV, but literally 0 for practicality. Look at the way he drives it, he definitely enjoys it, but who actually will regularly enjoy this kind of driving , like you just stolen a vehicle, and before long you have the christmas lights behind you , sirens wailing. I really don't understand why SUVs need > 600HP , where would you really use it? unless you have the priviledge of driving the german autobahn daily. Sadly most vehicles like this, will only be driven in the city and never gets the chance to fully enjoy the potential in it's performance. All one's got with this vehicle, is simply "bragging rights"... "I got one , do you?" For me personally, I am not interested in the high HP, rather, I would appreciate more the high torque, which is more usable, overtaking cars on the freeway, getting out of potential dangerous situations quickly... I have a car that puts out 210HP, but 260lb/ft torque, and it absolutely puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it. I guess that's why depending on the age of the reviewer, you will get drastically different perspective ...

A coupe is not a SUV

I honestly think the X6 is a load of shit, it’s basically the same practicality of an M5 sedan eliminating the point of an SUV, with the performance of a fiat multipla and slower than M5

Don't see the practicality of such a vehicle . Such vehicles will only hasten the move to electric and hybrids by the powers that be.
