How do we get the 400k highway map update for supercruise? I can’t find when and how we will get it.

Great Question. I looked into this becuase I am making a DEEP dive video on Super Cruise (The technology behind it, how it works, how many actual miles of road are mapped, why it turns off, etc). So I reached out to GM directly on Twitter. This was the response I received: "Your Escalade's update depends which electrical architecture it was built on. Vehicles built on the VIP architecture will receive the full update OTA starting in 2022. You can find which architecture your Escalade was built on in the user manual. Once the update becomes available for your vehicle, you will be notified through email and/or direct mail. Let us know if you have further questions. We are happy to assist!"

The 2022 Escalade is offering many luxury features you probably didn’t know about. The Escalade has smart adaptive air ride control, 6 piston Brembo brakes, magnetic ride control with electric dual coil dampers which work better than all the competitors. The nose does not dive when braking like the GLS AMG 63, BMW X7 and Range Rover. The Escalade offers super cruise the best autonomous system out right now even better than Teslas version, with automatic lane change, motorized active and auto-aiming projection LED headlights, self parking, lane keep assist, pedestrian alert system, automatic power folding, power tilting and heated mirrors, power panoramic sun roof, everything is rapped in leather and Alcantara in Headliner including the entire center console is rapped in leather on the Sports Platinum trim, the first one to use 4k OLED screens. Again ahead of its competitors. Escalade also offers augmented reality, AKG 36 speakers system with Two Subs one in the back and one in the front, and let me tell you, it is the loudest system of any SUV I’ve been in. It also has 9 exterior cameras and 1 in the interior, the rear camera has a pop up sprayer for cleaning, vibration motors with tactile feedback in the seats, in the steering wheel and pedals, ambient lighting, night vision with AI detection, Heads up display with directions map overlay, Automatic deploying steps, a cooler, USB and USB type C everywhere even the 3rd row has USB type C, 8 way massage seats, rear entertainment, voices enhanced and noise cancellation system, body on frame, more space, a naturally aspirated V8, more luxury features/practicalities I’m not telling you. Another important quality is, easy to work on maintenance and repairs, stuff that the competition doesn’t have. This is the reason the Escalade is outselling all its competitors 8 to 1

AR is very useful for foggy situations and also AR has direction overlays. Super Cruise is more intended for highway driving and long road trips. Is definitely the smartest autonomous driving system out right now.
