@@hoagiemoto you're welcome. I've seen a number of your reviews and find them very informative. This channel should grow a lot when more people discover it.
Definitely. One of the better demonstration videos I have seen so far As much as I hate to say this, this vehicle sounds like my four wheeler Watching this video only help me solidify my decision in purchasing a triumph Sport 660
You videos are great man. Solid information. I decided to grab one of these and going to do an update series. She will get about 120 miles a day on her.
it looks great, just about the same as any other adv bike...I am almost sold on it...but had a CSC Chinese 7 years ago and it SUCKED so bad...in special the power. I really would like to try this bike.
Nice review, it looks like the Chinese are becoming the dominate Asian ADV manufacture. This bike has the features I like that Suzuki refuses to add on my Vstrom 650, like Adjustable USD forks, a decent windshield and the tubeless tires that were missing from my past Tenere T700. Thank you
The saga continues with the quality of the bike. It has been 21 days since I bought the bike. The electronics were attached with double sided tape. The only miles on the bike are riding home and then back to the dealership. The dealership has ordered parts twice and they arrived yesterday and they are wrong. They are ordering again but do not know what to expect. I called CF Moto in Minnesota and the rep on the phone said this is the dealership problem and that they would contact the dealer. She pretty much hung up on me because they do not take care of the customer it is a dealer problem
Same here with a chines brand bike...disappointed, but I really loved the looks and the video for the adventura 650...wondering if I should spend MORE and geta proven JAP bike...
Friday I bought this one new over here in the Netherlands. Will be delivered in couple of weeks. Sadly it's with the old dash and not with this LCD panel. We will have that over here end of 23 of early 24.
Interested in this very bike at my local dealership. We live just North of Atlanta so I'm wanting a dual sport to ride to the Mountains and then on the trails. Interesting fact not one person knows anything about these bikes. I love the looks and feel when I test rode it
I don't know why but the engine on this model might might have different settings from the vendor or even a different stock muffler. I have the 2021 version and it sounds different, in a good way. This one, at low rpm, reminds me of the KLR. The MTs(aka ADVentura) are great bikes. Good value for money. 👍🏻
Great review! Just saw these at my local CFMoto dealer. Unfortunately, they cannot sell them until they move to their new location. But I’m definitely picking one of these up. Only question is: Which color looks better? The white does look nice. You should definitely review the CL-X 700.
Thank you, I really appreciate it. We also have a white model in stock but one came without the windscreen so we are just waiting on parts. I like the matte blue on this specific bike but I think I like the white Adventura just a bit more. I don't think you can go wrong with either of them!
Great review, thank you, the bike is an interesting option. On another note, the audio (and video) quality is top notch, no wind noise whatsoever. What microphone / camera do you use? Thanks.
Thank you. The setup I used for this video was a GoPro Hero 7 Black, GoPro 3.5mm mic adapter and a Purple Panda lavalier microphone. I had a fuzzy windscreen on the mic to protect it from wind noise. In my 650nk review, I used the GoPro without the purple panda mic and had tons of wind noise. I purchased the mic on Amazon
Thank you for going 100 MPH. Respect a bike rider that will give us a little gas, so we get an idea what we are dealing with. Lots of China bikes I've seen are slow AF. My CSC TT250 is a dog on the street, but it's good on the dirt. I'm looking for a bike with some level of comfort. Do you feel you could take it out for a 300 Mile trip and not be completely wasted tire? Let me know! Thanks!
I don't have one but I do have a KTM 890 Adventure, seems to have similar ergonomics. I've done multiple 1k-2k mile trips on it without a hitch. Very comfortable.
Here in New Zealand they do not come with the hand guards or the luggage due to freight costs being so high post covid. They have knocked off the price though. I picked up my 2022 one for $8299 NZD. Roughly $5042 USD due to it missing the extras. To be honest I prefer the soft luggage in any case. Less to break when the bike drops. You can pick up good hand guards for it from Ali Express for around $35USD delivery included. I am still deciding on luggage options and have added a GIVI tank bag in the interim.
Parts are hard to find in the US for the 650ADV . Stop lieing!!. I'm waiting over a month now for a new dash and for some reason the bike shuts down at 85mph. I do like the bike, though the foot pegs could be an inch or two to the rear.
Most CFMoto dealerships do not keep many parts on stock but that doesn't mean CFMoto doesn't have many parts in the US. I order CFMoto parts daily. The TFT displays really were on backorder for over the last month. I also had a display we were waiting on for almost 2 months for a warranty bike. CFMoto covered that display no questions asked. If it was in stock, it would've been to me within 2-3 days. I've worked in the motorcycle industry for almost 20 years and every manufacturer has backorder issues at times even before Covid! The Japanese backorders were easily 6+ months at times. Suzuki and Kawi are the worst with backorders. Was your dash problem a warranty? Did you take it to a dealer? I've not had one shut down at any speed like that
They may call the bike 650MT or Adventura in certain countries. If it's a 2022 model, it will have the full color tft display. I believe the older models had a regular lcd display.
Ya, also the claimed 60hp seems a little suspect to me, at least judging from the highway section at the end of the video, still seems like a nice bike though
I don't believe any companies make a lowering kit for them yet. I'm sure a good suspension technician would be able to lower the suspension for you. An easier way to lower the ride height without affecting the handling is to shave some of the seat foam off.
There is a wrong information there. If they say 150kg its without driver. That tyres, suspension and chassis easily carry around double. There a lot bikes that not stiff as this around 250-300 kg.
So. Few things. 1) it's a Chinese bike, so I can tell you 100% the app will be spyware. 2) when that engine hits about 8,000 kilometres, it'll start to go wrong. They use the same engine in everything from 400NK to 650TR-G. They're a copy of a Kawasaki ER6N engine, made with less quality. 3) be ready for the cylinder head to need replacing. 4) you'll need to reflash the ECU after about 6,000 kilometres. Before anyone squawks, I own a 650GT. Exact same engine, ECU and specs.
I just got it and the heat issues are crazy. 1. The app is kinda garbage. 2. It looks like a Versys just shity I guess. 3. Cylinder head at what time? 4. ECU flash ? What do you mean?
@@NoSkillzMoto I don't even bother with the app, I put in an aftermarket GPS tracker. I didn't want the CCP collecting my travel data. Cylinder head was done at 5,500kms and I had to argue with them and ended up comparing another 650GT to get them to admit fault. ECU is a common problem on CFMoto, the data corrupts. I was getting 120km per full tank, it had to be sent away to get remapped. Your heat issues can be solved by installing an aftermarket exhaust, the breadbox in the middle is a big problem. I've deleted that and have tried a few different combinations. Keep in mind you'll have to get a proper retune for your ECU if you change the exhaust. It's worth it though because my bike doesn't have heat issues now.
@@justaclosedaccount I am 500km in and did notice the fuel range is pretty shitty for 18L tank. I did strip off the fairings and its a little better. I will probably strip off fake bash bars as well. Do you have any links to re-tuning the ECU? Power commander style?
@@NoSkillzMoto depends on what country you live in. I live in China, which is why I bought domestic. It's near impossible to find anyone here properly qualified to do anything, which might explain the bad experience I've had and why I've taken to working on my own bike because I know what I'm doing and qualified to do it. There's one business that has a Dyno tuning company on Shenzhen and another workshop in Guangzhou, but I don't know if that helps you.
@@NoSkillzMoto I replaced added my own frame sliders and engine cage. Better quality. I'm also looking into Ohlins shocks, a Kawasaki ER6N cylinder head and brembo brakes. They say they use brand name parts, but they're the cheapest of that brand. Also, I'm looking at even replacing the entire engine and gearbox with genuine Kawasaki. But there comes a point when I wonder if it's easier just to sell this and go JDM. But here it'll be way overpriced for anything imported.
Most the crap in your house is Chinese made. Almost everything electronic has a Chinese part. You do know that CFMOTO has been making parts for Kawasaki, KTM, and Ducati, but the biggest is KTM
@@crazyweirdperson Yes, but with a bike, at least I have a choice. I own a duke 390, which was manufactured in India, and designed in Austria. Does it have parts made in china, maybe? But with CFMoto almost all of them are made in China. It's about choice.
I just got one. This thing Heats up and fries your crotch. Highway or moving is ok but other wise this thing is not pleasant at lower speeds. You family bits will tell you.
Really? I think I do remember sitting at a red light really feeling it but didn't notice when I'm moving. I know it was hot when I had it stuck in mud haha
@@hoagiemoto I hate this bike. Its a POS, there is so many things wrong with it. I cannot ride it at all after 30 minutes your legs are baking or your crotch. It eats gas as well. I have no idea how many people can give this thing such good reviews. I mean the fairing are held together by double sided velcro.
I have 1600 miles on mine. Average about 54 mpg so far. I have no issues with heat?? I am loving this bike! I also have a CFMOTO Uforce 1000 which I have had for 2 years and have worked the snot out of onmy farm property and local trails. Both great products for a great price. These bikes have been around for a while now (not in the US) and have proven to be reliable and a great value.
