Watching from Australia. I must say, most in depth overview of this bike. Very impressed with showing rolling shots and shots of 2 up and more! I also learned a few things as well!
As a ktm 790 Duke owner. I instantly recognise that engine.. Though its the euro5 version of the engine with 10hp less. The engine, is one of the best and powerful middleweight parallel twin engine in modern times. So with some refinement from the manufacturer I'm sure it'll be better. The heat is inherent.. Its a ktm engine after all. 🤣
Been salivating at this bike ever since news of its development appeared at the beginning of the pandemic. Then last year the Tiger 850 arrived. To this day, the 800MT still has not arrived in Malaysia. To me, an ADV touring bike with no remotely adjustable rear pre-load is problematic enough. But having no preload adjustability at all is a deal-breaker if you're the type who alternates between commuting solo with no pannier, riding solo with pannier + luggage and touring with a passenger + pannier + luggage. Something tells me it's probably the same KYB unit from the 700 CL-X which also has no preload adjustment.
yes you are right, a thing to consider for tourers. people should know that pre-load adjustability is an important factor!! good news is that upgrade options are there in the market 😝
Haha we werent specifically talking about the engine when the chicken wing part came in, we like the bike but felt there was a little room for improvement
I'm 1.64 and felt unconfortly because of seat height. How is possible Delilah touch with a feet' all toes? Anyway the bike is wonderful and well built. A little expensive here in Italy :11500 euro (ready to go) without panniers. Alu trio is another 1090 euro. A pity.
Not here in the US yet. Only the Adventura is available, and I haven''t ridden that yet either. Dealer I went to near where I live is a KTM dealer too and had me test ride the 1290 Super Adventure, so now I will be biased AF. No dates to when we could expect the MT800 yet, but my guess is mid to late 2023. Nice video though, and I love the honesty.
On a non related bike question. What´s the box between the mirror and the screen at minute 2:03? I´ve seen that box on every of your reviews, it´s some kind of TAG for tolls?
I totally agree... So much spec but no remote pre load? For a touring adventure bike with panniers? That part is weird. Not in the US yet but I have already notified my local dealer I want the first one in my area... Amazing value
Hi doe this model comes with keyless start? Also about yhe non adjustable traction control there's a big debate in Europe on the official dealer that it doesn't have a traction control at all can iou provide an official source to see this feature its present
Comes with a key! Yes we are aware of the debate, not much official info about the traction control but according to the dealer there is a non adjustable traction control.
@@tri333ple I've watch other reviews and all of them said it doesn't come with traction control. I don't think cfmoto build different specs for different markets, Philippines and Singapore with heated grips and heated seats? So that comes back to the traction control. Sure this bike comes with traction control? I'm also surprised you mentioned KYB rear shocks do not have preload, But other reviewers said otherwise. I think i will check the bike out and test ride.
@@tri333ple I have confirmed with cfmoto dealership and test drove the bike. there is no traction control as per many other reviewers all over the world. Also i was told the bike are shipped all over the world only 1 spec. Asia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and US. I think it will be very strange that only singapore get traction control.
@@CaptainChristianZ1818 yes we agree. We didnt get the chance to verify traction control ourselves as we had returned the bike. But the local CFMOTO dealers told us that there is TC but non adjustable. Looks like the dealers didnt get the same info. 🤦♂️
A fog lamp fitted to a motor vehicle shall not be lit - (a) at any time other than in conditions of seriously reduced visibility; or (b) in a manner as to cause undue dazzle or discomfort to other persons using the road. As found in Sg's road traffic rules. Hope that helps!
Very interesting review, well put. 800MT is great considering price range. Been riding Benelli trk502x for almost a year now, I guess 800MT would be better option than Trk800.
@@tri333ple hey yes thanks mate :) what made your video even more interesting for me was all the fun parts :) also variety of shots made it wholesome.. great effort brings out greater results.. totally hooked😏
The head look too big and bulky with those large lights. Like fat cat Garfield sitting on top of the steering wheel. This is top heavy and prone to flip over when doing a tight turn at low speed. One wonder why u needs such a big headlight? Majority of riders rarely ride at night for adventures. It just too dangerous. That’s simple. Just install spot lights at the lower frames will do. Look at the new Suzuki vstrom 800 DE. Small headlights, streamline, smart and neat ( Suzuki nailed it this time).I wish the fuel tank should be 20L instead of18L. I understand that the engines was from the defunct KTM 800 which the later no longer produce. ( long history of never ending problems!). The main attraction here is cheap.compares to other manufacturers. Just my honest opinions 😅for QF motor’s to ponder upon.
