Hi...I've never watch a more comprehensive review of the Tiggo 8 Pro RHD version in English than this one. Hopefully Indonesia will receive the same specs and features like in SA. On the next video, please test ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist.
Aow thank you so much for the positive feedback. I am planning to bring those in the next video hence I split it thinking it will be too much information and long as the aim is to share as much detail as possible. Let's hope you will get similar specs then🙂
I love how they kept the exterior design simple. For me simplicity=“Ages well”. This is a car I would shortlist, because 10 years later it will still be looking good.
Very true. It takes time for simplicity to age. I always commended Audi for that actually. They used to just evolve designs over time than 180° change. Its a great looking car indeed
After watching this video a few months ago, i knew I was obsessed with this car. Soooooooo today I picked up my brand new Chery Tiggo 8 Executive 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈
Woow, I can't believe that this is Chery, and looks really, really good. They have upped their game. Wouldn't mind to tend drive 1. PS! Excellent review as always 😉
The Chinese have really upped their game recently. Both Haval and now Chery are showing the world how overpriced (and perhaps overrated) the traditional brands are. Quick question. Is there an AWD version of the Tiggo 8 Pro? And while I'm on it, is there an AWD Haval H6? Google isn't very helpful for some of these basic questions.
Hi, somehow I thought I responded to you. Haval and Chery are really pushing boundries when it comes to value>pricing. The Tiggo does not have AWD version so far here in SA but the H6 does.
What a WOW I'm im AWe fanstic in depth video, u always... serving us da best content ever..... i salute You🙌🙌👏👏and such a fanstic product 4rm Chery and all da spec wise and no optional extra lists.. and long wiating list for ur car due to chip shortage bt da CHERY👌 on top... dat price tag what a WoW!!
Amazing encouragement as always Aphiwe. Really keep me going and gain strength through these. They did a great job here, design-wise, its one of the best looking at its price range. The fact that you get all these for less than R550K makes it even more crazy. These shortage is annoying man, some cars are even pushed back because of it, I think the Clio for example was supposed to have arrived a while back but it was also impacted. Heard Merc has some issues with certain specs in the new C-Class due to the chip shortage. Its just a mess out there.
These Chinese companies should hurry up and do the same with hatchbacks. Luxury hatchbacks that cost less than a polo would cement them in the SA market
Well, coming to think of it, I hardly see Chinese hatchbacks. I think their industry is booming at the time when SUVs are the "in" thing, so I am not sure if they are willing to invest a lot of money in hatches. At least for now🤔
@@sebuwam the only one I know of in SA is the BAIC D20. It's been in SA for a while, before the other Chinese companies started sending improved cars. So looking at it on their website, it looks outdated. Consider doing a video about it if you can, there aren't any good ones available for it. The haval H1 is more of a crossover suv than a hatch.
Ey man, this is one stunning car. Again, the Chinese are here and the Germans must be trembling in their boots. What Chery is offering is really hard to resist. This is bang for buck. Music playlist 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 on point, I love it
Zee, been a while brother🤜🏾. I have to say, the way they price these products is scary. I drove the Merc GLB then went to Kia Sorento then to this. I am still asking myself "how?". The value for money is amazing from both Chery and Haval actually.
Awesome review! I'm still rocking my H2 (hope you are too 😃). This car looks amazing. Interior and features are great. Although as mentioned by others, the engine might be slightly underpowered compared to what's out there. The midrange Chery between the 4Pro and 8Pro will definitely be one to look out for 👍
Hi Yusuf, thanks for the positivity🙂. Yup, the H2 is still very much running like a well oiled machine. 😃 This car really looks amazing ey. Seeing it approaching on the road you will see its beauty. Indeed with 7 people and bags in it, it might work a little harder.
This car is amazing. Went to test drive it last week Saturday. Took a lot of discipline to not sign on the dotted line. I love it, especially in that red. Way better than the H6, which is what I was eyeing.
Co ask? Have you driven the H6? I think the H6 is one of the best in its class right now but yes I do think Tech wise the Cherry has overtaken the H6 and those seats…. Wow!! Cherry has my attention
It really is amazing is so many ways. I think when considering aesthetics, it might have an edge. Driveability and Performance though, I don't see it edging the H6. Considering that its a 7 seater many people may pick it for space as the 3rd row can be put down all the time if you don't need it. Favourable price as well.
@@sizwedinisesoko I haven't driven the AWD but I am sure its way better. I drove the FWD and it could not put the power down on hard pick ups but the confidence you have in overtakes is crazy👌🏾
If you're still brand loyal at this day and age, you'll miss out big time, brand loyalty is a thing of the past, products like this one are a proof...Thanks a lot my brother, we appreciate the time and efforts you're making to bring us these experiences. God bless and let the channel grow.🙏🙏🙏
Demtumza, your encouragement exceeds my work rate bro. I am forever grateful for the push you give me. As for brand loyalty, people really need to wake up, there are countries where Hyundai is a luxury brand, some where Mazda is and so on. They bring cars to us based on perception. The moment someone says I can't buy Kia for R1mill, it kills competition for that segment as cars are not judged on merit. The Chinese are taking it a step further and give you a product where value>price. Hard to ignore🤔
@@sebuwam As South Africa we deserve a local RU-vid channel of car reviews which can rival other international car channels sir, your success would be a pride for our country, and we have to play our part aswell. Please consider opening an option for Patrons so that we can assist with equipment, so that this channel also reaches international standards.🙏🙏🙏
@@demtumza Very much welcoming those words sir. I am working on it, I will probably put it up before the year ends. I want to put proper schedules and resources so to bring content even when I am busy with other projects. Its just a long process to incorporate a whole new thing in the already packed schedule but I am not sleeping on it, this is my love and passion. I will definitely get to it Demtumza🙏🏾
We have the Tiggo 7Pro and I'm loving it. On this one, I juts wished that they continued the ambient lighting on the 2nd row doors, it'll look alot cooler
Eish Mpho! The temptation I’m having! 🤣 performance wise, what’s better between this and H6? I’m concerned this is a 1.6L engine, engine not working hard?
@@Mark_Anthony_africa yeah I bought the new H6 last year and I’m really enjoying it, the engine is a winner for me and fuel consumption is really good. Concerned the Cherry will chow a lot of fuel, it’s big car with a smaller engine so I’m expecting high fuel consumption.
Hi Sizwe, welcome back once again brother. Well, I just commented on Thabo's comment and I saw you raised a concern as well. I will get straight to the point, like Mark said below, the 2.0L in the H6 feels much more smoother and punchier. The 1.6L in here is definitely not lazy but you can tell when pulling it that it is working harder than the 2.0L in the H6. That H6 is a beast on the road, I call it a sleeper actually. The design and extra space in here though is not easy to ignore.
@@sebuwam from your 4 pro video I can see the engine is perfectly matched to size of the car and the CVT. having driven the 8 Pro to you think it would have been better off with a CVT?
@@Mark_Anthony_africa Nah, the 1.6L plus a heavy car mated to a CVT would have been a bit of a disaster in terms of engine noise. Glad they did not do that, the DCT is helping a lot actually, on 7th gear, you can do 130km/h and the car would still be around 2500rpm which is great actually.
@@dennnnnismo The pressure.🤣 It will depend on what I need the car for. I am not sure if I will ever need the 7 seater so since performance will decide, I might just take the H6
Thanks Fezile. I sometimes get concerns relating to the length and pace which I try as much as possible to cater for anyone who might want to see every angle of the car. Thanks a lot for the understanding of the objective🙂
Thanks a lot for the ever courageous words Mario. Thats the 1st colour/paint I saw when I 1st met Jolion in the "flash". I would normally take white but I think that Grey(Silver) is the best colour for it actually, it goes well with the chrome added on the grille and side. Great choice👌🏾
Another great review, Sebuwa! The first video I watched of yours left me confused between the Jolion and the Tiggo 4 Pro. Now I find myself confused between the H6 and the Tiggo 8 Pro!
🤣🤣... I was confused too till I settled my thoughts. I am at a point where I see why this is regarded as competition to the H6 despite being a 7 seater. Confusing times for buyers indeed. I will provide clarity though!
Very impressive looks really like a high-class car like an Audi or Mercedes and I suppose it’s not a surprise withChery is going to be building Land Rover under license I understand if everything works well for years and years it would be great all the technology and all those knobs and controls and everything as long as everything works well and reliably then that’s a key to its success
Thats the scary part of overloading tech in a car. Even the best of the best in reliability can't hold up over time. We can only hope they will hold up with time. Otherwise, this is really impressive👌🏾
This is my favorite car I like for bringing the modern technology at such a cheaper price and also how it activates the side camera when your turning.🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi. Hows the drive and overall feel compared to the H6? Also, i have read a review that says the brakes aren't good for a family SUV. Did you feel the brakes to be not on par with other SUV's you've tested.
Hi, it did not feel as effortless as the H6 in terms of delivering power when you step on that accelerator. I honestly did not find the brakes to be anyhow different (like a serious material difference). It just felt normal to many cars I have tested, not even just SUVs.
Absolutely amazing motor vehicle... While on the issue of vehicle, may I know the name of the song that starts at 11 minutes of the video... Thanks... Keep up the good work...
Appreciate the video brother but some segments can be shorter as you can be still be in detailed. Rather give an overview instead of going through everything especially the infotainment section and instrument cluster.
Thanks a lot for the feedback Sipho. Most of the time the coverage is about someone who may need that detail someday, which is why I cover almost everything. I take your concern into consideration though so not to drag unimportant information. I just use Timestamps a lot in order for people to skip to points if interests.
@Sebuwa M Would actually love to hear your review instead of reading subtitles. We loose focus of the components you are displaying. On the car, Looks wise 👌. Please do a 0 to 100km speed test
Hi Thabo. Appreciate the feedback brother. Will work on improving how I package the messages over time. Great looking car indeed. Unfortunately that is not easy to do as the car is pretty new and the dealership is using it as a demo. Pulling high revs with it ia quite risky.
I wish they lessen installing piano black material (especially in center console) and replace with aluminum brush metallic because piano black are finger print magnet and easy to scratch.
Yep, thats one thing I spoke about in my test drive review (following this one). Its not too bad considering size and shape but it looks too luxurious hence its easy to notice the wind. Otherwise, what a car by Chery👌🏾
I try Nicholas. 🙂! Not easy to keep up though, they are coming in fast. I just try to create impact with every video, especially when I have time. Luckily I found pockets of time over the past 2 months.
@@demtumza I just started responding to comments now and I see you are here as well Demtumza. 🙂. I was still in shock over Orlando Pirates' loss but I am back.🤣
This is a great video. 👌🏾 The most informative English language video on this car yet. It's a great pity that most of the info is in text. The point of a video is that it is both visual and aural. If you could remake the exact video, but this time narrate the script, I have no doubt this would blow up. Please keep up the great work bro! You make 🇿🇦 very proud.
Thanks a lot Londa. I planned to make two videos from the time I shot it as I prefer sharing details in silence, will keep taking this constructive criticism into account as we grow. Will this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z6vi8QwroSU.html do the trick?
@@sebuwam Yes bro, this definitely did the trick. We've been watching this over and over. We especially loved the part where you compared it to the H6. It definitely seems like it comes down to half a dozen of this and six of that when compared to the H6. Though this has less power and torque, it does weigh 100kg less than H6, helping it claw back a bit on the power-to-weight ratio scales. H6 has the surefootedness of AWD, which, like Tiggo 8 Pro's 2 extra seats, is completely useless to most drivers anyway... Etc.
Hi the Tiggo 8 got 5 star C NCAP, it has not been tested on Euro NCAP. Moreover this Tiggo 8 pro is not the actual car tested but I think they are based on the same platform. 🤔
Thank you so much for this, i want to test drive mine and like to purchase it, i need to find out where a dealership is, may i ask what is your verdict on it
Hi Zaan, I don't doubt that it will be a good buy. My verdict is quite complex, compared to many competitors it really stands out especially considering the price tag. It has a challenge with the Haval H6 for people who do not really need the additional 2 seats at the back. H6's power and comfort slighly gets one over this. Overall though, it is an amazing product and feels solid. The dealership is in Pretoria North: 228 General Beyers St
Hi Raymond. Thanks a lot for the feedback. I somehow forgot to indicate in the video that its always best to use timestamps in description when it comes to the videos uploaded on the channel. The main aim is to cover almost all angles so to benefit anyone who is looking for something specific relating to the car. Apologies for that, will communicate better next time.
I appreciate your understanding of the objective Lebohang. Thanks a lot. I really think they saw a gap in the 7 seater segment and knowing they can price this better than the likes of H6/CX5/Tucson/Sportage they thought lets get in quickly. The segment of 7 seaters will not even match this on price, so I think they targeted 5 seaters with an added advantage of 7 seats at almost similar price.
@@m2ngwa89 Which will be very interesting because they gave us the Flagship at such a reasonable price. You would definitely want to see it when its priced below R500K
@@sherifwahdan8755 It seems like if the camera is operating it won't turn on, also if you are not intending on turning or changing lanes it does not turn on
I am expecting 9L to 11L per 100km depending on how hard you push it. These ones I am sampling are very new and never bring out "long term" figures. A car with around 200-300km on the clock is quite thirsty.
