What a great bunch of guys. It is sad when the week is over!! Hard to imagine waiting another 350 days to return to camp. Five of us camp owner's have a camp in Northern Millinocket Maine. We enjoy the company of eachother for a week every November. I can relate with you Benny, guys how it feels to pack up at the end of the week of camp. Godbless you all. Thanks for sharing Benny.

Our opener was October 21 on the 22 we lost our head man , 92 years old the 4 of us have been hunting together since the 60’s except me and Larry we started in th 70’s . We hunt our of a 14x16 wall tent with 4 bunks that sleep 2 to a bed , barrel wood stove 55 gal. Cook stove 4 burner , table. 2 propane gas lantern’s for light and a sawdust shaving floor . So now we have to decide what we are going to do

I can't wait for next season, and that's every year the day after the season closes ! And I've been deer hunting for about 50 yrs. Good luck in future.

Great job guys. Its .been 5 years sense i last hunted up there. Use to live in the thumb there. Today and tomorrow is are last 2 day gun here in Ohio. That time . Now . No holding back. Only got 2 for freezer as of now need 2 more to make it. Ya all stay safe . My family sit and watch ya last 3 years now. . We love it. . God speed . And safe travels back Florida.

That drive back on the Saturday after opener was no joke. Ran into big snow about 30 miles west of st. Ignace all the way back home. Took nearly 12 hours to get home. About 3-4 hours longer than normal

Right on ! As soon as we got south of the bridge it was 30-44 mph all the way back home. Made for a long trip that's for sure. Especially pulling with the trailer.

Right on boys great hunt and great videos 👍 and I'd have to say I think the deer are slowly gaining numbers. I noticed it also on Manitoulin island where deer at one time where like sheep in a field and after a couple bad winters numbers where way down but noticed a difference this year and o noticed it your videos this year comparing to other years. Great camp guys, always fun to be with family and friends for the opening week of rifle season! Happy for your guys success! Ben I love that flannel jacket. Looks like the ones the guys wear out East for stalking. Hal Blood , the mountain deer guys. Is your orange part of the jacket or something that you’re able to add. Thanks for watching Steve ! Spot on. You're going to Chris, Brody and my son (Ben Jr) in the next video. The jacket I'm wearing is from Big Woods Bucks and about 10 years old now. It was made by Beaglewear. Beaglewear is no longer in business. You are spot on about the folks in the East wearing them commonly. The big woods guys are personal friends of mine and ive had the privilege to hunt and track with them over the years. They do offer the coat for sale on their website. Different manufacturer and still a good rugged product.

Yes, they certainly are part of the problem along with other predators and harsher winters.

Winters long wet springs and the wolves take a big toll on deer herds exspecially in the U.P. we need a season on wolf now the population has rebounded.

Last time I hunted the U.P. I had five wolves chase 6 deer away from my shooting lane 1 monster buck thought about fighting them off but instantly changed his mind when he seen how many were bouncing frantically towards him crossed a large river to escape, many of the locals had said I was focused on the wrong animals but later that day ran into DNR and they were running the roads and two tracks feverishly doing a range study of wolves and moose in the area.
