I mountuned my 2019 Mk8 (M235) Stage 1. I'd imagine that's what a Fiesta RS would feel like. It's given the ST a healthy power hike to 236bhp without sacrificing reliability.
The Fiesta and Focus is now a European model. Because of the EU CO2 limits, there will never be a Fiesta RS or Focus RS again. In the USA there are no strict requirements for manufacturers in terms of emissions
@@butchmeister80 yeah, they ditched the Recaro's. Very dumb move Ford. If I can't get Recaro's like my FiST200, I might as well just go for the I20N. At least I'll have still have 4 instead of 3 cylinders, and at least 50KG less weight. They better come up with a worthy special edition at the end of it's lifecycle.
@@neovenom9833 recaros in the mk7.5 where lovely the mk8 pinched at the base horrid things didn’t buy one cos of the seats maybe these new ones are better
Don't get the hate, it looks closer to muscle than the previous one. The previous one isn't "aggressive", but sporty. If anything the new one looks more badass with the larger grill.
@@dom3827 The Duke is butt ugly 😄 but I think the fiesta needs this change. Looks a bit more mature is all I'm saying. Needs that bigger grill for more air intake for that touch extra power. Can't wait!
Unfortunately the following equipment has been removed, which was standard on the pre-facelift ST 1,Exterior Mirrors - Power Fold (Not Heated) 2, blind-spot monitoring and rear-cross traffic alert 3, Rain Sensing Automatic Windscreen Wipers 4, Auto-dimming Rear View Mirror 5, Forward Collision Warning 6, Lane Keeping Aid with Lane Departure Warning 7, Exterior Mirrors - Puddle Lamps
Mine still has Rain sensing automatic windscreen wipers, auto-diming rear view mirror, lane keeping aid with lane departure warning and I'm not quite sure there was any exterior mirrors puddle lamps in the first place ? What sucks the most is the power fold exterior mirrors missing, always feels weird when locking the car and not seeing it retract itself :/
@@Hoopa96 I feel what really is worse is that price is considerably more for way less specification compared to the pre-facelift model. Why not fit the mirror motors and heaters with the switching on the doors, then fit the semiconductor when it becomes available, as a recall. Or is it just plain extortion.........
@@greensocks4507 chip shortage - so cut back drastically on equipment as per the previous models standard equipment - but then increase the price by 19%.........you know what they say “a fool and his money” THINK ABOUT IT
@@Hoopa96 I have had my MK 8.5 for three weeks and it is the folding mirrors that I miss the most. Do you know whether we have lost the mirror heating as well?
So Ford.... When is this coming to the US? I have a 2015 Fiesta ST with a COBB stage 3 kit. Love the car. I toy with Mustangs and STIs. The look on their faces when they can't keep up. Lol
Ordered mine in may 2021, when it still was the ST3 model, before the facelift and have been told many dates, last I had was production and delivery in march and now it changed to september 2022, being a ST X model as well. Will at least be waiting a year and a half in total if they do deliver in September this time
Terrible front and rear design. The front Ford sign in the grill is terrible and the rear bumper is way too thick. That's why many people quickly ordered the "old" model.
Order for one like this one week ago in red version full option, 3 doors ! Delivered August/september !! The question is how to wait those god dam 5 months .....
Nice one - I think I still prefer the look of my 2020. But the extra adjustability of the seats looks nice - not that I've had any issues with the recaro's in mine. Analogue dash any day for me, but to each, their own.
I believe ST-X is the replacement for the ST Line. So all of the ST visual trimmings, but cut down engine + missing a few options (rims etc) correct me if wrong
@@therealolliebobs9896 Nah cos the car on the vid is down as an ST-X which looks to be the equivalent of the ST-3 on paper. I've not seen anything of an ST-2 in all the vids coming from the EU so I'm wondering if the only option over there. The ST-2 has different 17" rims, doesn't have the performance pack, digital dash, matrix lights, sequential indicators and also has a slight variation of the Ford performace seats (looks like missing the HP top headrest bit) I know as that's what I've on order in the UK due to costs involved. No way are they replacing the ST-Line and that already has three engine sizes or so with the 1.0 the lowest of them.
That would interest me too. But most of the time it's not worth it, because the seats at Ford are always very expensive, you would bring the seats from a butcher
what does the X mean? iam in love with the fiesta st mk8 (before face lift) just came to check what they did (after facelift)? anyone able to explain what happened? beside the looks?
Hello, the X means better basic equipment, sound system, tinted windows, etc. With the new facelift, only the front has changed, new better Ford performance seats and the taillights are dark tinted. In addition, the torque was slightly increased
I guess you just have a bad luck. I have mk8 for 3+ years and only problem that I had was that the brake sensor failed after full day spent on a race track. Wife's parents have mk8 as well and never had a problem with it (so far).
The build quality on the St is really good. Compare it to a Seat Cupra for example. The Cupra rattles everywhere, feels cheap, has thin plastic. The Fiesta, at least, uses things as soft touch etc and feels much better. The steering wheel is premium. If you think a fiesta is bad quality, i guess you have never driven other cars than. No other way to explain this.
@@dom3827 i had a vw gti 2016 and everything about it was solid every panel on the inside of the st feels cheap except the wheel probably didnt help ivr pollybushed it but didnt expect it to shake itself into individual parts
Led Lights All around, but WHY the Halogen rear indicators and reversing light😖 The digital drivers display is nice, though the changes between the different modes take ages
These new fiestas still don’t beat the look of the mk6 for me, the engines etc and performance may be a lot better but they don’t look nearly as good as the mk6 imo
@@steffan5304 so I can’t have an opinion just because I can’t afford it? I’d never buy a car new anyway lol but I personally prefer the looks of the mk6 over the 7 and 8, I like the 7 but just not a fan of the 8!
I agree, my mk6 was beautiful. I regret getting rid of it every day! Seeing it parked up brought me so much joy! The rear lights were iconic imo. I'm about to buy an 8.5 but I don't think it looks anywhere near as good.
Own the current Fiesta ST and its a fantastic drive. The cheap plastic bits inside let it down and this interior is no different. Not a fan of the new front end to be honest on this .5 model
@@resnonverba137 seriously? I'm not writing a formal letter I know how it's spelt and I'm using a phone. You clearly have nothing in your life if all you do is scroll youtube looking for typos to correct.....
Spotted a non-ST facelift Mk.8 driving past me; the front end is not an improvement on pre-facelift, IMO. I have always thought if anything its the rear end which needs fixing on this gen....
As I have seen in certain dealerships the MY22 St costs 30.000 euros. It is ridiculous...It supposed to be an affordable hot hatch. Don't think that the new seats, the led lights should bump up the price by a lot. Meanwhile no performance upgrade. I know...chips..
No, they've dumbed it down, plus 5 door? The lights are horrendous and no proper ST seats! Wheels are nasty too, only good thing is the colour, my 2018 ST2 looks much better
I quite agree, I decided not to accept an offer of swapping my almost fully loaded 2019 ST3 (sunroof only missing) with only 14.5K on the clock for a new one.
Think the Fiesta has had its day it use to dominate the UK sales market but as Fiesta buyers are switching to the puma instead and the Fiesta sales fell through the floor and again this year the Fiesta is nowhere to be seen even the Focus is now outselling it now. Times are changing the Fiesta now costing more then 16k for the poverty spec model its become too expensive.
This car’s had more facelifts than Jackie stallone, seriously it’s the same basic body/chassis from 2008 and I don’t know why people can’t see that 🤷🏻♂️ put your money on something more modern.
Its not nearly the same, but ok. You got no clue. The chassis is completely rebuild to the MK7 an is incredibly more stiff. It has more welds and an overall better construction. You can jack up the front of the fiesta and the rear wheel will go up just as much without hanging down. It is stiffer than 95% of street cars and way stiffer than the MK7
Come on Ford get the rs fiesta launched you have the right parts there just not the proper power An nice wee 2.0 eco boost 280 bhp with lsd and I will be right down the dealers
Looks nice. Still sounds like dog shit though. I’ve owned every Fiesta ST (aside from this one, I had a mk8) and the original is still the best sounding by far. That 2.0l naturally aspirated engine sounded beautiful. From stock and modded. These new ecoboost engines sound droney
@@Chappers.Gaming Between the two colors I prefer green! Only Ford STs can be green, the boundless blue seems too feminine, delicate to me, but I think these too bright colors tire quickly, in fact I preferred black st3, aggressive that never tires.🙂
