They need to have a hybrid with 7.2 kw to have power at the job and for the camper. They got rid of f150 ambient lighting in 2018 just have one color and not in as many areas.
If you don’t mind could you look at your frame right behind power steps and see if you have what looks like a dummy plug? I just order a 22 F350 Platinum. My 2019 platinum had it and I was able To tap into that plug and add lights for my steps when they came down. I was curious if the 2022 has the same plug so I can do it again. Thanks for your help
Just got my 2022 f250 yesterday. In the dark blue and yes love it as much as you love yours. My tailgate came without the soft opener, either the robot or the human forgot to add it in production. So part ordered. It rides awesome

In 2020 ford got rid of the multi color option for ambient lighting! You can purchase the lighted door seals and install them in your current truck since they leave the connector there under the current door seals. I installed them in my 2020 F450 platinum.
Beautiful truck. I have an 18 F150 Platinum and have been debating upgrading to a 250 Tremor. I agree with you I like the blackout package in the Lariat but after having a Platinum not sure I could step down. Ford really needs to make a blackout package for Platinums like Dodge does on the Limiteds.
my dealership has yet to get any 2022 trucks in. I really love my 17 platinum and only want to upgrade for the larger infotainment system and the 10spd trans. definitely bummed about the ambient lighting though. did they atleast retain the massaging seats? lol they have me spoiled and i gotta have that in my next one again for sure along with the marsala red interior.
I have a 2018 F350 with the 360 cameras and I had Ford replace 3 of them during the bumper to bumper warranty. I still think they're not up to par. The cameras are definitely an issue on the older alumidutys for sure. Nice truck!
Noticed your plates had Cleveland, TN. Im in Dayton and have a carbonized gray Lariat 7.3L ordered, but got told earlier this week that production is halted because of the adaptive steering. It’s an option I want to keep, so I’m just waiting
Yeah we’re close! The only option I opted out of was adaptive steering. I lift all of my trucks and I had a lot of issues with the adaptive steering on my 17 after lift was done. Kept getting tons of faults and sometimes I would get in the truck and would be driving straight but the steering wheel be at a 90 degree angle. I don’t notice a difference at all without it on my 22.
Interesting, hope I can get a '23 Platinum w/ the Tremor Package soon up here in Canada. Although sounds like it'll be a long wait. Does the Platinum Badges on the seats get annoying?
Just ordered my first ever powerstroke lariat. Been running gm since i started driving the new at4 dmax i put 5k miles on it and hated it. Time to try something else
That backup camera blows GM out of the water. I can tell you that from experience. It was one of the first things I noticed when moving over from Ford.
I have the same truck and color ... this truck is a beast on the hwy when pulling anything behind it. If your looking for a nice comfortable truck to haul things with this truck will do just that the power it has is amazing

Man I'm surprised you didn't go over the 10 speed and power output with this new model over the 17. Biggest difference in my mind. Great looking truck.
I think the cup holders are backlit. Go back to your settings and turn it up all the way n then check it out in the dark. I don’t think it will show during daytime lighting
Did you ever have a problem or leak on your 2017 moon roof? And does it come with proof of all the recall issues like the rear axel and front windshield? I realize it was a newer build so it may come corrected. And any advice on why the Platinum and not the Lariat? What was the Lariat missing?

Well I’m upgrading from a 06 F-250 / 6.8L to a F-450 got to have something to pull a 45 ft. 5th wheel. Should be in the end of august first of September.
@@brendanfarias735 Excellent ; ordered it got it in august 2005 but it is a 2006 model only has 104,500 miles on it. New tires no faded paint,sprayed in bed liner
@@brendanfarias735 Excellent. It only has 133,000 miles for on that 7.3 diesel. Needs a new front and rear bumper just to make her look pretty and the only dent can easily be pulled with want of those paintless dent puller people. But, it does suffer some paint peel on the roof that needs addressed. Otherwise, the interior is perfect.
Do you have the co pilot on it or any options u had to give up? Been waiting 3 months for a f350 platinum. Ford now saying can get it built in 30 days if we go without the copilot option (hands free) otherwise it could take till after December.

I have a Grand Design Momentum and it is a little higher than some 5th wheels. At factory height on my truck is was a little nose heavy but after lift it’s almost perfect.

Sat on the backlot until shipped 7/26 and received it 8/28. At least I bought it under sticker. In our area they are going $4-$8k over now.
@@jco7831 On my 2021 Ram 3500 Full paint correction, ceramic coating, paint protection film(1/4 of hood, front bumper, and 1/4 of front fender) ran me about $3,500 total most of that being the correction and coating.
Really unfortunate that they removed the colored ambient lighting and lit door sills. Mine was supposed to be built last week. Waiting on my email from Ford
Interesting…I’m considering an almost similar upgrade next month. Same original vehicle including color, etc. Would like same new vehicle without add-on’s you’re considering. Would consider removing sun roof….disappointed to see ambient lighting option removed and the lighting on the Platinum kick plates. I may have missed it, but are you running gas or diesel? That mileage is off the charts for diesel. Yes, the valence is ugly….

Im.with you on the black out. I hate they limit what you can add. Like I rather buy the platinum but want the black out package but can't do it. You build a lariat ultimate black out and can't add power steps. Just doesn't make sense
10 speed transmission is a GameChanger!!! Tons of bottom end torque and still under 2k rpms at 80mph. I ordered it with the 355 gear ratio. Averaged about 24 mpg on interstate.

Congrats on that bad Larry you got there. The new interiors look pretty dang nice. I've been spying up the new XL 450 for a while, but on the Ford website builder, it has no information on the new interiors.
Good to see they’re finally got a decent size screen but the real issue with it though is that Microsoft sync garbage, I think it’s literally the worst infotainment system on the market. At least you can run CarPlay or Andrei auto to get around it.
An f350 isn't a real f350 unless it's a long bed,the long bed would do a lot better towing the 5th wheel,longer wheel base displaces the weight better plus with the short bed it puts the front of the 5th wheel way too close to the cab of the truck,I've seen some damaged cabs from the exact same setup,nice truck though,
What mileage were you getting from your 17? My 17 350 averages about 14.4 on mileage, if that truck does the mileage you say I’ll be going to a 2022 as well

Should have just added the options on the lariat along with the better looking sport package. You can make a lariat f150 have more than the base standard king ranch or platinum. Which means you’ll have more that what u need or want most likely out of a loaded out lariat.
Not true, some options that come standard on the platinum you cannot get on the Lariat. Also no matter how much you add to a lariat it’s still a lariat and less valuable than a platinum.
