Legendary car designer and builder Chip Foose picks up his ballpoint pen and markers once more to give us his vision of what the new 2022 Ford Maverick pickup truck would look like as a street rod. There are already numerous aftermarket suppliers making off-road parts for this truck, so Chip thought it would be fun to take it in a different direction. Even if you're not into Chip's style, you can certainly appreciate his talent and drawing skills as he draws this Shelby-inspired custom truck.

@@dmac4278 I wish they kept the compact trucks too.. I'm still a fan of the mini trucks my favorite mini truck of all is the Datsun 620 what a beautiful truck that was. They ought to reintroduce it.

Yeah the Foose Edition Maverick Ford Truck. The first muscle car I ever drove in at 10 yrs old in 1970 was a friends Dad’s Green 1970 Maverick.😎👍🇨🇦

I'd want the actual truck to have his last name signature embossed over the word FORD with a siloette of his quarter angle left side upper body with him looking sideways included just before FORD to really give it a kick and make it a serious collectors edition.

@@nickb3968 I could fit my fingers between the door card and the actual door on the Maverick I looked at, panels were touching with no gap between them which will eventually cause rubbing and paint damage, the interior felt slapped together to me as well. You’re buying a Ford Fiesta with a bed and getting exactly what you pay for at that price point, a great bargain for a college student or new driver and also great as a delivery vehicle but just not for me as a daily driver.

The build quality doesn't suck lol. I've seen multiple Mavericks in person, the quality is on par with other low to mid 20k vehicles.

the maveric dont need much to make it beautiful...all it needs is nice wheels and modified height...lower or higher will do depending on the style you want

I remember being a kid and watching foose drawing the cars other people had to build. I don't think I've ever seen grease or dirt on him.

So? Designers and builders are equally important. I've seen cars created by mechanics with no design ability, they look terrible. I've seen where engineering was secondary to design, they never work properly. You need both groups to make great cars.

One style that I don't like that many modern vehicles have is the drop-down glass that goes into the side body. I like glass to be even with the top of the body

I would love to see the the body in red w white stripes... dig the black body kit for sure. I love the idea of a more stock look w a squared up wheel and tire setup, that was at least one or two sizes down. Not a fan of the laye 90's bubble kit but I get it have to match the existing body line. Love these style videos! Keep them coming SIR!

Pretty nice design! A bit crazy sizing wheel I think since anything bigger then 20 inch rim will look dummy on this truck and you can stick the shelby name without serious engine upgrade like a 2.7 Ecoboost maybe? Now how about drawing a Tremor version with a realistic 2 inch lift kit, 18" all terrain tires and a Tremor body kit and grafic look alike? Let see Mr Foose 🙂

I wish they had left the name Maverick alone.. I prefer the original Maverick. And Chip foose used to say that if you bring out a new car then you should bring out a new name if it doesn't match the original lines. And this Maverick looks nothing like the original Maverick so they should have gave it a different name. But it's all good it's still cool peace and love 💖☮️

In Australia we had a rebadged Nissan Patrol called the Ford Maverick. Ford seems to have used this name in a lot of different ways.

I want to see a revamp drawing of the challenger hellcat I think that would be interesting to see how it would look in your image seeing how it’s a redesign from the old mopar challenger in the early 70s. I like your design of the new z car better but that’s because engineers are cheap and would rather use the same chassis than to design a new car. But I guess it reflects In The price.
