The fact that I can hear Steve green on background with his song People need the Lord( which I performed couple of times in different church meetings) is amazing. I am starting liking these vans since my family is growing, and we love road trips so we dont have to rent big cars, would love to get one of these in the future.
Old school becomes cold school when you are having to operate that screen in -5F temperatures. We have a Transit on order. Not planning on too many trips up north during frigid weather, so having frozen fingers that won't operate the screen shouldn't be much of a problem. Enjoyed you review.
Ty for sharing, specially this configuration ... looking fwd to seeing your updates and pov on this one specially once you put a little miles into using it ( i'm flipping between this and a sprinter) love the seats in sprinter but the power in the ford lol
I have a 2022 Ford Transit with the leather/power seats. We love it. The only thing missing is you can't get seat memory on 2022. It even shows it in the manual as an option for 3 seat memories but you couldn't get it. That is the only thing I don't like about the seats.
Thank you for the review and finally a person with a real review not some salesman just trying to sell the automobile and a person actually drove it for awhile and know the good the bad and ugly 😂🤪🙂 and the Air conditioner control you are the only one mentioned it and gas door problem I can see why it was designed that way because it has careless but I figured we needed to open the door to get off to fill gas tank and AWD system how it works is what I am looking for, from what you said about the system It sounds like it will only engage with wheel slips so it's not a full time system like my Subaru has AWD and it's full time no wheel spin, was the seat hard to remove or then heavy? need a hulk to move it 😱😜🤫🤔😳 and you mentioned it will fit in a regular garage?as we all know we stuff our garage with bunch of junks 😱🤪😂😜🤔 not cars 😨🙄
Hey, I have the same van. I just tested my winter tires in Utah. They worked FANTASTIC! IN snow, ice, slush. Taking off and braking. My set with rims was $1,800 so I was hoping it would be worth it. It's hands down worth it. I got Firestone Winterforce CVs.
Very informative video. Really put my mind at ease, especially the storage space. I will be renting one of these for a family trip in November (2023). Are you able to tell me the average cost to fill the gas tank, say at $3.50/gal? Looking at an 11-12 hour drive one way.
I ordered a passenger wagon, AWD Black, in Oct 21. Sept 22 and still not being built, but thanks for the video. Excited to get it. Probably be a 23 by then and 10k more lol.
Something my dealer told me is the price stays the same as when you ordered it, I would double check with yours! Hopefully it gets started soon for you guys!
@@thehandyfamily11 I don't know about that. My price went up from the factory when they queued it for build by about $2000. It was still well worth it and my dealer (Woody Anderson - Huntsville) still charged me below MSRP.
Truly appreciate that you took the time to put this video together. The Transits are still in such short supply that we can't find one to see in person of any roof height, so this review helps! Questions: 1) Have you now had the opportunity to "play" with it in the snow? How'd it handle? 2) For the back seats that have seats in front of them, is there enough leg room that a 6 ft tall adult - like you - would be comfortable on a long road trip, or is leg room an issue? 3) I can only roughly gauge the size of the storage space in the back. Do you find it's roomy enough to carry all of your family's luggage when you travel? We do a lot of airport work, so luggage capacity is a material concern. Thanks again, and God bless!
So we literally got one snow this winter. A complete anomaly for us. So I haven't got to play yet lol. Storage area is plenty! We love how much we can pack. I'm 5' 11" and the leg room is a slightly tight. I have ridden in the back, but pick the three seat locations with the open area in front of me.
SI MIDES MAS DE 6' TE RECOMIENDO QUE EN VIAJES LARGOS TE VAYAS EN AVION... TAMBIEN LOS ASIENTOS SON ESTRECHOS, PERO LOS VIAJES SON CORTOS Y LOS PUEDES SOPORTAR SIN MOVERTE ... ESTE TIPO DE VEHICULO ES FAMILIAR, QUIERE DECIR QUE MANEJAS NO MAS DE 2 HORAS Y STOP. LLEVAS ESPOSA Y NINOS.. Y TAL VEZ HASTA PERROS.
Very informative. Thank you for making this! I have several kids and we take many road trips so this pushed me over the edge and made me feel comfortable taking the plunge. I just placed an order today for the 2022 XLT and got the 14 seat option. What's strange is there is not AWD on ford's website for this van! It only gives me the rear wheel. Am I missing something? Also, considering it may take a year I guess I would just get the 2023 in that case?
If you placed an order for a 250 they don’t make it in AWD. Only the 150 and 350. Weird but that’s why I went with a 350. Check on that stuff it changes all the time. Thanks for the kind words! greatly appreciated!
@@thehandyfamily11 Thank you! One more question: can you easily remove some of these seats if you don’t need them? I’d like to remove maybe 3 to create more cargo room.
Thanks for the review. We are renting one to bring my kids and 3 exchange students to Las Vegas this holiday weekend. What is the actual height on this van? My concern will be the height clearance for the parking garages as some of them are 6' 5" only.
I don't know the height on this low version but I can tell you that the height on a medium roof is exactly 8' 3" to the top of the antennae. I wouldn't drive it under anything less than 8' 6" except in an emergency.
How is the ride in the back? I've seen a few of these on the road and the back end looked like it bounced a bit, like a truck bed. Don't think they had any passengers or payload though.
How many different ways can the rear seats be configured? For example, can the section of two seats in the third row fit in place of the section of three seats in the second?
I tried online but it was at the end of 2021 and the system was goofy because they were transitioning to the 22 models. So I ended up doing it at the dealer.
I ordered my ford transit cargo extended length and high roof 350 HD dually awd carbonized gray for my plumbing business a year ago and still haven't received it. 6 months ago ford emailed me with an update sayings it's being built, then 3 month ago they emailed me saying they are waiting on chips. When I originally ordered it at dealer the sales lady told me 6 weeks, I am still waiting on it. Never heard back from the sales lady, only ford emails me with the same thing ( waiting on chips ).
That’s ridiculous! Worlds gone crazy! The emails and the tracking were better than the dealers knowledge, which in todays digital world is crazy. You would think that a tracking system for a custom build would be flawless and much more detail than they give us. Best wishes
I'm looking to start my handyman business shortly. I have heard many youtubers say charge for estimates and vice versa. What is your take on charging for estitmates? Also, do you dedicate a specific day of the week for estimates? thanks in advance...
So Fridays are my quote days, I'm on the job Monday-Thursday. Friday is my catch all, meet new clients, price jobs, do small repairs and services. My existing customers know if they have a small project, Friday is the day. It keeps a light day the end of the week also. And no, I do not charge to give an estimate. Some do and that's cool, but I don't.
I saw a previous comment you said you get about 15 mpg mixed driving. Do you know what you are getting all Highway ? I am renting one at the end of this year for a trip to Florida which will be all Highway.
Hi, Could you please tell the length and the height of the van? Is the cost of the car registration and insurance difference from other cars? Thank you so much.
With mine USAA gave me a little hassle with the size of the vehicle and it probably cost a little more at the end of the day. Well worth the insurance cost though!
Nice review. Didn’t really want a turbo due to them always going out but I see that the power needed is necessary. How about going through drive through and parking garages. I’m not really sure what the average height for those are around the country are so just a thought?
I have a 2022 with non-turbo. It still has plenty of power and I find it surprising quick. TheHandyFamily has the tow package though, so I would definitely recommend that if you want to tow anything with it.
hi !! compare to Chevrolet express van is this ford transit gives you much smoother ride? im about to switch from Chevrolet express to ford transit , reason why im asking you this question cuz i have bulging discs in my back( i have no back pain driving Chevrolet express for last 5 years , wondering if i get same smooth ride from ford transit? please let me know many thanks!
His issue with getting out to open the fuel door ? You have to get out on every gas / diesel vehicle to open the door to fill the vehicle. Once he opens the little fuel door he can than shut the drivers door sounds like...at least a bit from what he stated.
Mind if I ask what area in Ohio you guys live? I’m from zanesville and live in Charlotte, NC now and I’m really missing the north. Might move back but not to zanesville 😬
I had to go back and look - they don't have the running boards. I have a 2022 with the "full length" running boards. That covers the passenger door too. I couldn't imagine not having them. My wife's 90 year old grandma get's in it more than once a week and that would be a real problem without them. I also have boys 2-9 years old. Even with the running boards I try to help the little ones when getting out.
We have the 2022 with the HID headlights. I felt like I was just getting crazy with the options but it is one of the top 2 features we got. They have extra lights that illuminate when you go to make an turn and they are incredible. I bought the Active Park Assist too and it is garbage. The headlight upgrade is incredible though.
Yes it has driving assist. I don’t use it, I tried it for a few months and am just not a fan. It works great just not my cup of tea. Has all the sensors around the vehicle, blind spot detection etc.
@@goochigoochs3836 not sure the difference. It will keep you in the lane but keeps telling you to have hands on the wheel. I’ve tested it a couple times.
The Auto has 3 different settings for fuel saving purposes. They are for you to pick how aggressive you to ramp the temp up or down to your set temp. The blower speed will self adjust regardless of which of the 3 settings you choose.
