GMC just sent me an email with a picture of the 2023 Yukon Denali and the interior has a 6" screen the same one like I have in my 2021 GMC Canyon Elevation Standard edition. How does the 2023 Yukon Denali NOT have this 13" screen?

did you notice they had a dent in the tailgate? You can see it at the 4:28 mark and its lower center left side. Those tailgates are like $5,000 so when you dent them it's big trouble. I hope the dealership made it right.

This has to be one of the most improved refreshes in the industry in recent years. GM came from the bottom of the segment and launched themselves (arguably) to the top. Glad to see they’re actually listening to customer feedback and making an effort to improve.

Yes GM has finally improved there interior. Only one reason why because of Ram. Ram pushed GM and Ford to try and keep up. The race was on. Ram #1. Then Ford and then GM. But I do like the overdo improvements. Much better. Exterior style is one of my favourites.

Ugh a freaking beaut. I do think the old grill is just fine tho. But the brackets for the blinkers and for the wheels look so good. Led lights are a nice touch. I can’t get enough of this look💙💙

I don’t like all black interiors but man this is absolutely beautiful. This interior looks so high quality and I’m not even sitting in one yet. Controls appear to be very well thought out and put together. The Denali Ultimate may feel near the level of an Escalade.🤩

Probably can never afford this as brand spanking new. That's why Im looking at older, used versions. The Good: Love the floor shifter as opposed to the column. The trim & everything inside is very lovely. The bad: However, I'm not a fan of the "Vader Chrome" as it's too dark. You want this truck to shine. I also am not really a fan of the new grill. Too "Sierra" looking. Love the grill from the 2019-2021 models. You see that coming down the street & you KNOW it's a Denali! I'm in love with this truck & will be getting a 2020 or 2021 very soon!

I have a 2020 yr model of this truck and one thing that my truck has are the heated and ventilated seats which is a must where I live. This is a beautiful truck inside and out. Great job GM!

Honestly, the only 2 things that made much of a change was the interior dash & console along with the front grill of the truck. I have the 2019 version of this truck and, honestly, the only thing that could use updating is the center infotainment unit, the rest of the truck is perfect for what I use it for. Everything else is exactly the same as the previous generation truck.

The slight refresh to the front face looks so much better imo. Felt the old front end looked way too busy and was trying too hard to be modern. The new front end looks a lot better. Hopefully Chevy follows suit.

I like the trucks looks but idk about the reliability on gmcs trucks nowadays. A lot of owners end up having engine failures and tell us to not buy one. Has anyone had any problems with this?

Look man it’s simple GM is absolutely garbage. Transmission and engine problems. I’ve had a few older chevys and they were money pits. They are cheaply made and and they add massaging seats so you’ll be comfortable waiting for the tow truck. Put this into perspective Burt Reynolds’s 1977 Pontiac trans am had a glass roof but a 2022 80k truck doesn’t ? Lmao 🤣

It's a good truck, but it needs to be refreshed. Rear independent suspension, panoramic roof, power reclining rear seats would make it in par with the price. Back in the 80s even Burt Renold was sporting the t-top panoramic roof in the Trans am.

I'm a die hard gm guy. but I've been looking at the Ford and I'm not sure anymore. gm maintains the same seat and just adds a different covering which historically are not that comfortable. Fords seats actually change and comfort gets better with higher trim.

Exactly, so many choices with Ford, Lariat, King Ranch leather, Platinum Carmelo leather with suede inserts or that beautiful dark blue and grey quilted leather seat design of the Limited. Don’t forget the B&O speakers integrated into the headrests.

Loved my GMC 2500 Denali but since this interior wasn’t going to be in the HDs this year I went with a 22 350 Platinum and the seats are so much more comfortable its insane. I couldn’t believe it, I never felt uncomfortable in the Denali but the fact I noticed the difference that much is huge. The Ford alumni duty cab I’ve learned to love for the space and size. Have to give it Ford so far. Time will tell with the actual wear and tear.

Idk they did amazingly well with this refresh! But they still dropped the ball on certain things. The sunroof is still something straight out of the 90s and the fender flares could and should come standard painted especially on the higher trims. Other than that I absolutely love the refresh. I’m waiting for the refresh Ram 1500 to come out to make my decision on which truck I will purchase. That tailgate on the GMC is really REALLY NICE though compared to that funky looking Ram setup

Nice updates, but only a game-changer for the GM faithful that have been desperate for decent interiors for years now.(and no that is not an insult before the GM guys come for me, rather an acknowledgment that GM finally delivered an interior worthy of the price being paid). The GMC has always been a handsome truck, but luxury goes beyond wood and screen size. Rear occupants are still treated as paupers in those quarters. Great update, but STILL behind Ram.

Completely agree and I have always liked the GMC trucks. Glad they have finally did a good amount of updates. Don’t like the plastic trim around the wheel wells though. Should had been painted. Looks cheap.

@@Nathan-fm1mu I don't understand how they don't paint the fender flares or at least use a higher grade of plastic than the this. You get the same fender flares on a base Pro model as you do on a $80K Ultimate. Body-color flares would really set off the exterior or gloss black if they must.

The Ram is really nice but I think this Sierra wins. The only thing the Ram 1500 has over this Sierra for rear seat occupants in cooled seats. Other than that, I think the Sierra has far better tech and a more cohesive interior design. Additionally, luxury can be defined as reliability and I don't believe the Ram 1500 wins that category in comparison to the Sierra. Still love the ram tho

70k and you only get 7 speakers? You have to go Ultimate if you want the upgraded Bose system? Ram and Ford let you get the premium Harman/B&O system in all the upper half trim levels as an option or standard.

Can’t wait to see the Diesel Denali. Great idea with the tailgate step but the tail gate step should limit travel around 60-75 degrees to offset to the trailer receiver. Can we fix this before 2023. Thanks

Nice review. First one I've seen that addressed the things that matters most to me. That new dash might be what keeps me from going back to the F150. I had pretty well decided the lifter problems were the last straw and GM was getting scratched off the list permanently. I'll go diesel even though I have no real use for it if I stay with GM.

No there not… the denali ultimate is like $1034 a month to lease for 36?mts… to buy same truck @4% for 60 months is $1516!!! The bubble has burst on all these high priced trucks… nice ride too much … my 2010 denali stickered at 53310… the new ultimate is 30,000 more in the span of 12 years.

@@toddprater14 Naw, they will. Not just the denali, but all trims with the refresh. Sales for the big 3 all are trending upward, despite the cost increase. Before the pandemic, gm sold hundreds of thousands more trucks in 2018 than 2010. Same with ford and ram. That bubble won't burst anytime soon as long as there is demand, and not sure if you've looked into a new or used truck, hardly any to be found.

I tried ordering a loaded AT4 Diesel but I’m not willing to wait up to a year. Also wasn’t comfortable knowing that all the features wouldn’t work until they decided they could spare computer chips to finish the truck someday of GMCs choosing.

@@TrevorATX I agree with Jay. I am goin with the RAM due to much better interior and panoramic sunroof. Also much better build quality and fit and finish. GMC is still going cheap, just look at those door panels, rear seat rest, small roof, not a true flat floor, etc. Absolutely love the look at the truck, especially the front end, but the rest is done cheaply.

You should learn from my mistake. I bought one. Motor broke 6.2 bent valve. Transmission never shifted right even after 4 reprogram. All 4 electromagnetic shocks went they were $3800 to replace. Chipped paint everywhere and this was the wife’s truck never saw a dirt road take the kids to hockey everywhere kinda deal, passengers seat warmer stayed on caught on fire. Sliding rear window recall fire hazard. Power breaks recall. There was more. It was $70000. This is all smoke and mirrors not a quality truck. Not even close.

GM doesn’t build quality trucks anymore. They used to build them like tanks. You’re better off buying a Ford or Toyota if you want better reliability. Rams have a nice interior and cool design but their transmissions are still shitty. Overall we are getting screwed by most automakers. Sadly it’s now quantity over quality

@@ozzy6994 the 8 speed is bullet proof in my experience so far, unlike the ford and Chevy 10 speeds where I’ve seen them in the shop but I’ve had good experience with the 8spd.

GM please put that interior in the Tahoe. Do not like the big laptop glued to the current Tahoe dash.

Not a fan of the orange looking wood that doesn't hardly have any grain to it and comes across as plastic, & heap-looking, not to mention it's like black on one side and orange looking on the right side, which just makes it look cheap and weird, but other than that, GMC Denali is definitely by far, my favorite truck
