2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed: MUST SEE ATTRACTIONS | Catchpole on Carfection 

I really like how Catchpole basically ignores most hyped up cars that would bring the views for the rally cars (and a few others) just because he believes they are as cool or cooler (which they probably are).

Henry Catchpole, you’re simply the best all round auto journalist and presenter in a mag, book or any form of screen. Keep it up!

Sorry for walking past the Quattro! (But there is an entire film with me driving one already on the Carfection channel - it has an interview with Stig, details of the PDK ‘box, historic footage, the lot. Go and check it out if you haven’t seen it).

Singer makes absolute perfections.

I went to the FoS once in 2005 and there was beauty there that I never knew existed! If you've ever considered yourself a petrolhead, then it is our Mecca. Everyone who loves cars/motorbikes/engines needs to do this at least once in their life...

After being left open-mouthed by the wonderful Singer DLS at Goodwood a few years ago, I would love to be able to see the Turbo Study. It looks superb here and in pictures.

My 1st Mtb was a Muddy fox Roadrunner .. still have a pic of it !! and still working in the industry now 35 years later :)

That 6R4 is an 8R4 - it was apparently there in 2017 too. Surprised Henry didn't know that, given his love of rally cars but to be fair, I don't think anyone would know unless they looked very closely (or read the paddock sign). I didn't even know the 8R4 existed until I Googled it to see if the sign was a typo!

What people also don't realise is the turbo 16 used an xu8. The zx and xsara both used essentially that engine too (xu7 and xu10)

I was at Goodwood yesterday and if anyone is wondering what was making that cool engine revving behind Henry at the end of the video, it was Porsche's new Le Mans Hypercar (hidden inside that tent) which they are unveiling tonight. You couldn't see it but could definitely hear it haha Also, thank you for stopping to have a quick chat Henry, it was very nice to meet you!

FOS has already thrown some amazing surprises this year, like the M3 Touring, AMG One and a 2000hp Transit 😅😃👍. Have a great time there Henry :)

I live in the US in Alabama but I do plan on making it to a FOS at some point in my life. It always looks like such an awesome event.

Henry. I have an original “Muddy Fox”. Got it for my 16th birthday. (used it for 1 year only before cars came along) I’m going to be 50 this year…. It was a bribe from the parent to keep me off a motorbike.

I was there Saturday, but next year I will be going for two days. There is so much I missed, just not enough time in one day to see it all.

Thanks again for Henry and Carfection. It's a good time to point out that Goodwood has a RU-vid channel when they live-stream the whole event! So you can see the cars going up the track. But I don't think they have anything like this where you get to see the paddock. Some folks agitated about Henry skipping the "big deal" cars, but I think that was kind of the point for this video: highlight some things that are a bit more obscure, rather than the obvious stuff everyone's seen already (and I say that as a fan of Subaru and old-school Audis). Oh, and please don't start doing the soyjack face for the thumbnails. Next thing you know, the videos will be sponsored by Raid: Shadow Legends 🤦‍♂
