It's crazy because the Macan has proven itself to be ultra-reliable/quality and has held its resale value even 10 years later. Meanwhile, the Evoque is known as a terrible quality car with the 2.0
for your benefit... and my experience of getting a v12 xjs running. Your symptom is what I now understand to be a classic "crap in the fuel tank problem. The tanks on the xj saloons are a bit of a pain to remove ... but they need removing and cleaning of all the old fuel that will have collected in them. I used electrloysis to clean my tank up. Then the fuel lines want blasting and cleaning through, a new filter and probably the carburettors cleaning (I think this will have carbs). The fuel lines in the engine bay will need replacing because when you do get it doing they will likely perish and leak. I would put a tenner that this will solve the running problem and hey presto you will then find the real enthusiasm for this v12... it is super smooth and very very impressive on the road.
This is "my" Ferrari. I don't love cars in general and think of them mainly as tools but the 458 has a special place in my heart. If I ever get the chance to own one I would probably walk into my garage just to look at it and walk around it ever day.
I had the mark 4 gti and liked it .Ive the mark 5 16 years now and still love it . I think it is a better looking golf than the mark 7 , but obviously not quite as quick .
The Ceed Interior is very understated.... It's relaxing. Simple. Practical. Well built. Classy. Ok the whole car isn't exciting, but there is also very little to complain about....that's a winner.
Great video! I own the Pontiac Mera prototype. The 80s were really something! Seems like dealers were really keen to try different things in the form of rebodies and upgraded internals to entice buyers. The thing I find interesting is that with upgraded suspension and even power plant upgrades, warranties were still honored on these. My guys is that if anything on the engine changed, that warranty went away.
Just upgraded from my 2006 4.3 manual to a 2010 V12 manual with 19,000 miles. Absolutely delightful, with all the kit I wished my 4.3 had. Big ceramics, proper lights, sorted interior, utterly wonderful sound and laugh out loud performance, so pleased I sprung the extra! 😍
The Pontiac dealer near me had a small fleet of these cars. It took time to sell them. One of our local Ford dealers had a fleet of performance EXP's with whale tails on them.
I used to drive these a lot. They're great, but the mistake a lot of people make is assuming that the top of the range is best. It isn't. In terms of powerplant you want the Hybrid (it really suits the car) but in terms of trim the most comfortable one is the base car (dsign). The second up (dstyle) is slightly less comfy with lots of goodies and the top car (dsport) is - frankly - bloody uncomfortable with hard leather "sports" seats and illogical 19" wheels but some nice goodies (for the period). It's like someone decided to build a lovely, luxurious French car and left the room for a few minutes and some dingus snuck in and decided they had to "Germanise". Then some muppet decided it needed to be as expensive as a BMW or Merc.
You will never get 4.8 seconds 0 to 62 time ,more like 6 seconds ,but it's not about the 0 to 62 time it's all about the sound of the 5 litre engine. 👍Epic 😍
