The crosswind thing is a myth. The cutouts are purely for aesthetics. No air is getting through a spinning wheel at pretty much any speed. Besides, the cross section of the entire bike and the rider is multiple times larger than just the two wheels. On another note, any idea what the part number is for the Memphis Shades windshield? I have a 2022 myself and am considering one. The H-D windshield runs $400+, wondering what the cost is for the Memphis Shades version.
Beautiful bike! Got my 2022 in September. Had it over a month and love it! Got the tabs slip ons with no windshield. Maroon and black. Enjoy that Harley brother.
Lovely bike. Just bought the exact same bike a couple of days ago. Getting a new exhaust system fitted with Vance and Hines swept down pipes and a passenger backrest and then pick it up in about a week, Can't wait!
Had my 22' for 7 months now, 2300 miles later. It is an exceptional bike and, without a doubt, the finest HD I've owned. Have the same windshield - Memphis Shades - and for my 6'1" 34" inseam frame, it's perfect. Clear, no buffeting at all, easy installation. Combined with a black "engine guard", VH Eliminators, medium saddlebag, Performance Machine grips, and soft lowers (cold weather), it is perfect.....almost. Cruise control is next on the list.
I have the exact bike and color and I just love it, people at work come and tell me the bike is just frickin beautiful! I found some really cool mirrors by HD that I'll be changing out, also I'll be putting in the cruise control, heated grips, and I found some really nice leather bags from a outside vendor, Harley bags are over twice the price, not leather and very poorly rated. I'll also be changing out the seat for something much more comfortable along with a sissy bar with a very small short backrest. I'm also swapping out the floorboard and brake pedal along with the shifter lever and lastly I'm putting on the Vance and Hines slip-ons like you have, the approximate upgrade cost will only be around 2 to 4 thousand bucks. I'm in the process of buying one right now, the same color, the dealer is a tough nut and he's trying to high ball me so I'm in a not so fun bargaining process. I'm also going to get different pipes, Van and Hines, just a different look. I love the sound of the bike, congratulations!! Ride safe brothers.
I have the same bike but midnight crimson/black. I also added the Vance & Hines mufflers, replaced the horn, and put smoke coloured turn signal lens with led lights. Love it. It really is a head turner. I get comments all the time at stop lights.
I just bought a real head Turner 2001 model 11000 miles .looks like it just came out the factory last week .The guy who owned it from new ( one owner ) was a local millionaire ) it has had so much chrome added, plus new whitewalls god knows what it cost .They delivered it to me in pretty deep snow .So although I have had it 3 weeks its not coming out the garage till April .Also it has had a complete new non Harley paint spray job .1st time I rode a Fat Boy was at least 25 years ago on a group demo tour .Looking foreward to April. I also have the original bill of sale from new .£12500 . Jeez now here they are £22000.
AS yourself I ride a 2019 Fat Boy love the bike and I also have the same windshield. Problem i have found is that with the turn signals located behind the windshield on the handle bars they reflect off of the windshield Not bad on lighted streets however on unlit country rads it interferes with the visibility .You will notice bright amber ring around the windshield and the whole windshield will take on a light amber tint. This increases ten fold if you switch to LED especially the ones that are white and amber when turning . Solution would the availability of a light bar but i have had absolutely no input from Harley as to what if any light bar would work. In the end I went to Custom dynamics they make a white and amber turn signal the fits on the engine guard. Not the best solution but it works. I'm waiting to see if the add a light bar accessory on the 2023, if so will be trading in . Beautiful bike enjoy the ride
I bought a 2018 fatboy with 114 used. I put a breather with a check valve on my trans cover to vent the blow by from the eng because a lot was going through the air cleaner and intake gunking up the pistons What a difference now air filter is dry instead of oil soaked lol
I got a 018, FLFBS , twisted red wicked,cherry, i bought it for a Fat tired hot rod , Terminator,, lol put Blow exhaust ,, wide open, Arlen Monster suker intake , drilled out,the head breather holes ,, used the stock breather bolts, got a t, ran a 5/16 line, out the back of trans, keep,the oil level about half qt. Low, you wont have blow by,, power vision tuner, , Fatty a badass bike
Can you give more specs on the windshield? Which one of the Memphis Shades is it? I heard it’s the 19” one but how tall are you and are you getting any buffering? Thanks
I have the 2018 model , brushed chrome in vivid black, and with fake fuel tank cap(a must for me, very Harley specific). I enjoy this bike very much. A windshield may be comfortable, but then get yourself a Roadking . In my opinion, a windshield doesn’t look good on a FB .
Nice bike I have a 22 in the midnight crimson and black. Do what ya like with your bike but for me wind shield has no biz on a fatboy. Ditto bags other than a swingarm, these are not touring bikes.

Beautiful, just beautiful, my next bike for sure. How did you determine the hight you needed on the windshield or is it just a one size fits all. The exhaust makes all the difference. I guess with the 2022 rims you can finally chain up a fatboy. Plesent riding.
I know he got it from a company called Memphis Shades and it is built to fit on the Fat Boy. I'll try to get more specifics for you but hope that helps👍💯
What kind of luggage suits this model? Cause I don't see the point of it not having any luggage, you're supposed to get the hell out of your place with it don't you
Please not another side wind myth....It was and still is a lie, a cross wind will blow you off if it's hurricane force...Solid wheels or spoked, nice bike though.
